NAVA CARBALLIDO,VíCTOR MANUEL; RIVAS TOVAR,LUIS ARTURO;
Estudios Gerenciales , 2008,
Abstract: this research describes the status of certification in mexico in iso 9001:2000. after a review of the state of the art, is validated a model that relates four independent variables: evaluation of the strategy, motivation, process implementation and control strategic and their impact on the dependent variable organizational performance. the research was applied in 96 mexican organizations. as a result, it is shown that the performance of an organization improves when it implements a program of iso 9001:2000, if the organization has active motivation. the organizational performance was measured as an improvement in quality (0,81), a decrease in cost (0,83), an increase of sales (0,88) and an improvement in customer satisfaction (0,82). based on the evidence found an empirical model is proposed.

Estudios Gerenciales , 2008,
On some transformations between positive self--similar Markov processes
Lo?c Chaumont,Víctor Manuel Rivero
Mathematics , 2006,
Abstract: A path decomposition at the infimum for positive self-similar Markov processes (pssMp) is obtained. Next, several aspects of the conditioning to hit 0 of a pssMp are studied. Associated to a given a pssMp $X,$ that never hits 0, we construct a pssMp $X^{\downarrow}$ that hits 0 in a finite time. The latter can be viewed as $X$ conditioned to hit 0 in a finite time and we prove that this conditioning is determined by the pre-minimum part of $X.$ Finally, we provide a method for conditioning a pssMp that hits 0 by a jump to do it continuously.
Amiloidosis endobronquial: CASE REPORT TRACHEOBRONCHIAL AMYLOIDOSIS

El análisis del caso clínico configura el diagnostico de Amiloidosis localizada endobronquial Amyloidosis is a generic term for a group of diseases that share the common feature of extracelular deposit of pathologic proteins. Systemic and localized forms are recognized. Both can produce pulmonary involvement. The current classification is based on the nature of the precursor of the amyloid. It is an infrequent condition, in USA the incidence is 5.1 to 12.8 per million of people. We present a case of a 32 years old male, obese, light smoker with Diabetes Mellitus 2, asymptomatic, with a pneumonia and poor response to treatment. The first diagnostic approach was a malignant disease and the histological study showed Amyloidosis. The analysis of the case suggest the diagnosis of tracheobronchial amyloidosis

Ciencia forestal en México , 2009,
Abstract: several beetle species are attracted by the volatile compounds that pines affected by forests fires emit. some insects depend upon this factor to survive due to the fact that these trees provide the right substrate for their reproduction and offer less resistance to attacks because of a lower osmotic pressure. this study was aimed to evaluate the diversity and sequence of arrival of coleoptera to pinus montezumae wildfire damaged trees. insects were captured with adhesive tangle traps applied directly to the stem. relative abundance of each species group was calculated for each date of capture and data were fitted to a logistic curve, to differentiate accumulation patterns. the specimens collected included the families curculionidae, buprestidae, cleridae, salpingidae, elateridae, colydiidae, bostrichidae y staphylinidae, being cleridae (47.5%) and curculionidae (29%) the most abundant. classified by their feeding habits the insects groups were: primary bark beetles, secondary bark beetles, wood borers, predators and others. statistical significant differences were only found among the accumulation patterns of primary bark beetles and wood borers. while bark beetles peak in abundance at the end of march the wood borers did it at the beginning of april. predators exhibit a highly associated pattern to their prey also peaking at the end of march. a new species of wood borer of genus lechriops is also reported.
Non-Markovian processes with long-range correlations: fractal dimension analysis
Cáceres, Manuel O.;
Brazilian Journal of Physics , 1999, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-97331999000100011
Abstract: a particular class of strong non-markovian stochastic processes have been studied by using a characteristic functional technique previously reported. exact results for all moments and the whole kolmogorov hierarchy are presented. the asymptotic scaling of the non-markovian stochastic process has been characterized in terms of the long-range correlated noise appearing in the correponding stochastic differential equation. a generalized wiener process has therefore been completely characterized, its power spectrum and fractal dimensions have been studied and its possible connection with the q-statistics has been pointed out.
