Abstract: qualitative study whose research subjects were the members of a health family strategy. and has as purpose to know their perspectives about health education and presents them through the dialogical conception of paulo freire. in the circles of culture, four themes emerged: family health team, health education, health education practice in team work and how to improve the stock of existing health education, were encode, decode and critically unveiled its concepts, challenges, opportunities and expectations of their educational practices. the field research was the development of a primary care unit of health of cachoeira do campo, minas gerais. the results showed that health education is recognized by the subjects as a liability, but its practice is facing cultural barriers, and receives little emphasis in the daily work.

Abstract: objective: to present the critical unveiling of the itinerary of freirean research in the care of people with stoma. methods: a qualitative study in health linked to the methodological framework of freire, which includes obtaining and analysis of data in dialogical circles, comprising three dialectical moments, intertwined in an interdisciplinary manner: thematic research, coding and decoding, and critical unveiling. this occurred in the period between april 2009 and february 2010, with an irregular number of participants, in the auditorium of the president vargas specialized reference unit, in the city of belém / pa (brazil). results: inadequate training of health professionals was one of the most relevant topics generated, and unveiled the necessity of implementing a program of continuing education on the care of people with stoma. conclusion: the proposed unveiling constituted a life experience so that these people with stomas were enabled to "read the world" and thus know and walk towards the transformation of their reality.

Abstract: this study aimed to identify the thought styles of research groups in nursing education in three regions of brazil. method: qualitative research, exploratory and descriptive. results: northern region showed a style named liberating, characterized by a pedagogical stance based in dialogue. midwest region had a style named technicist-liberating, characterized by an intermediate pedagogical stance that shows exceptions to technicist education and at the same time growing appreciation of critical pedagogical approach. in the northeast appeared a style named technicist-liberating-effective, characterized by discussing the deployment of the national directions for nurse courses in the political pedagogical projects in the institutions of higher education. conclusion: the styles identified are in a constant movement, but it is relevant this time to identify liberating education and its effectiveness by the application of national directions as essential for the development of nursing education and its recognition.

Abstract: literature review that aimed at analyzing the pedagogy positions in nursing education of the south region of brazil, through the means of production of scientific articles published in the last five years (2004-2008) by the research groups in education of nursing. the emerging categories were based on different pedagogical positions of the teaching-learning process. the research groups has designed the teaching-learning process while liberating/creative practice, which thematic side supports the question curriculum/formation and popular education. the intention and the transformation, in which exists interaction between individuals guided in the dialogue, the cooperation and participative form. in concentrating efforts in this perspective, it will be possible to give visibility to the sector in the scope brazilian and latin-american

Abstract: the objective of this study is to identify the scientific production in the context of nursing produced in the last decade (1999-2008). this literature review was performed using the lilacs database and included studies published as articles, theses, dissertations, editorials and presentations in events. studies were written in portuguese, english, or spanish with the electronic full-text version available. a form was developed to register the data regarding the production, which included: reference, source of the manuscript, year, category, objective, methodology and theoretical framework. a total of 57 publications were found; most were original, descriptive articles performed in the hospital environment, and very few studies were founded on the leadership theory. it is necessary to adopt leadership development programs and permanent education projects within health services, with the purpose of preparing nurses to work as leaders.

Abstract: ethnographic study which is aimed at analyzing the relations of power and domination in freire's perspective on nursing education and its impact on shaping a subordinate professional identity. participated are professors and students of the spanish university school of nursing and nurses assistance. data were obtained by triangulation methods: participant and non participant observation and interviews. we used the record of field notes and audio, and data were analyzed using constant comparison method. the results indicate mechanisms by which the dominant ideologies in the training of health professionals form and content of the subjectivity of teachers and students in addressing the compliance and subordination to the established practices in health institutions.

Abstract: the objective of this qualitative, exploratory-descriptive study, in documental base was to analyze the accumulated knowledge produced in nursing education research groups in southern brazil. data was collected during the period from january to may, 2009, from the census of the national council of scientific and technological development research groups and the curriculum lattes of these groups of researchers. content analysis of these articles showed a concentration within the last five years in studies of a qualitative nature, based on positivism with heterogeneous themes and a reduced focus on the education, nursing, and health care line of research. the nurses of these research groups have opted for individual work, presenting difficulties in articulating research among their members, distancing themselves from more profound investigation in health care education, concerning themselves with the productivity category in detriment to production which gives greater visibility and contributes to their line of research.
