Abstract: This study aims at the use of photography as a teaching technique in geography education. The subject of the study was the demographical and functional changes of the cities taught in the human systems unit of the 11th year geography course. The study was carried out on 32 students studying in the high school located in Yenimahalle town of Ankara province in the fall term of 2012-2013 academic year. The research technique employed was the comparative document analysis and excursion and observation method .The data was evaluated by the use of quantitative data analysis. It was observed that the students were able to photograph the distorted urbanization, city planning, and transportation and settlement problems by the use of photography. It was observed that some of the students were able to make interesting conclusion for the problems of the city they live based upon cause and result analysis.
Experimental Observation Application in Geography
Journal of Kirsehir Education Faculty , 2009,
Abstract: The permanence of the knowledge can not be ensured without applied studies in Geography teaching. But in many countries, geography teaching is being tried to be realized just the theoretically, without application. This case not only leads the students to rote but also prevents them to understand the importance of geography education. Experimental observations and the laboratories to be built at schools have great importance in order to make the geography education applied. The experiment needs to be used in geography teaching.
Experiments Method and Its Usage in Geographic Teaching
Journal of Kirsehir Education Faculty , 2007,
Abstract: In this research the importance of experiment method usage in teaching geography has been tried to explained. Due to the common application of wrong methods in teaching geography, geography isn’t considered the value it deserves. The idea that geography is a lesson and geographer is a teacher has to change. The way to enablethis depends on the application of modern teaching methods and techniques. One of these methods is experiment
The Application of Problem Based Learning in Social Sciences Lessons
Journal of Kirsehir Education Faculty , 2006,
Abstract: In this study, it was tried to explain the application at Problem Based Learning Approach step by step. In gaining new knowledge, PBLA uses problems as a starting point. The most important characteristics of this approach is that problems, which provide learning with the support of both new and existing knowledge, are used. Some real life situations which students may face up with are given to them as a problem scenario, students are encouraged inlearning new knowledge, and knowledge is synthesised in the frame of problem scenario.

Abstract: In this study, it has been analyzed that the perception of the natural environment and the importance of environmental education over the Turks in Turkish proverbs which is one of the important building blocks of folk culture. In the introduction, after a theoretical knowledge base about the natural environment and human interaction have been established, information is given about the basic concepts of the study such as Turkish culture-proverbial relationships and importance of proverbs in terms of environmental education. In other parts of the study, it has been analyzed that how they perceive Turkish vegetation, animals, climate, soil and water in terms of the environmental value based on 507 Turkish proverbs which were searched and included in the study from different sources related to the natural environment. It has been seen in the examination that Turks have great importance of proverbs that contains climate on the perception of the natural environment of the first place, and it is followed by proverbs about the climate and animals. It was put forward that the proverbs which are etched in public memory is very important in terms of environmental education.
Effects of several Plant Growth Regulators on the Yield and Fiber Quality of Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.)
Notulae Botanicae Horti Agrobotanici Cluj-Napoca , 2010,
Abstract: Plant growth regulators (PGR) are used in cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) production to balance vegetative and reproductive growth, as well as to increase seed cotton yield and lint quality. Field experiments were conducted with some PGRs to determine their effects on yield and yield components of cotton cultivar Stoneville 453. The study was conducted in 2004 and 2005 at the Agricultural Research and Application Centre of Harran University located in anl urfa, Turkey. During the study, seven commercial PGRs (MC, NAP, BIGIB, KH, MCROP and BIGIBER) were sprayed at recommended doses and appropriate application periods. Experiments were arranged as randomized complete block design with three replications. Experimental plots consisted of six rows, each having 12 m length, row spacing was 0.70 and intra-row spacing was 0.20 m. The results showed that PGRs (except PC) had statistically significant positive effects on the seed cotton yield, plant height, number of open boll, number of sympodia, boll weight, lint percentage and seed index and that they decreased the earliness index. However, fibre length, fibre fineness, fibre strength and fibre uniformity were not affected by the applications. Higher yields were obtained in MCROP, BIGIB and BIGIBER treated plots. Therefore, PGRs might be considered a component of cotton growth management, which is effective on providing higher seed cotton yields.

Abstract: In this search, a series of 5-[4-(4-fluorobenzoylamino)phenyl]-2-substitutedamino- 1,3,4-thiadiazole ( 2a-g ) and 5-[4-(4-fluoro-benzoylamino)phenyl]-4-substituted-2,4-dihydro- 3H-1,2,4-triazo-le-3-thione ( 3a-f ) derivatives were synthesized and characteristed by elemental analysis, UV-visible, IR, 1H-NMR, MS spectral data and X-ray crystallograpy (3b). Cytotoxic activity of six prototype compounds (2a, 2d, 2e, 3a, 3d and 3e) were evaluated by using HeLa (ATCC CCL-2) and normal cell lines according to procedures of MTT [3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide] Assay [Cell Proliferation Kit I (MTT) Roche-Germany].

Notulae Botanicae Horti Agrobotanici Cluj-Napoca , 2009,
Abstract: The research was performed to determine suitable soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] genotypes with high seed yield grown at double cropped in semi arid conditions. Seed yield and yield components were investigated in 25 soybean genotypes obtained from Karadeniz and ukurova Research Institute in Turkey. In 2003 and 2004, experiments were carried out at the Harran University, Faculty of Agriculture research and application farm land in anl urfa Turkey. According to the combined analysis of two years, seed yield was ranged from 2482 kg ha-1 to 3945 kg ha-1. Of the 25 genotypes, Irogious, Alhow and Macon were determined to be adaptable to semi arid conditions and yielding the highest. Significant and positive correlations between seed yield and number of pod per plant, number of fruit branch per plant and 1000 seed weight were also determined in this research.
Utilization Levels of Teachers of Social Studies in Assessment –Evaluation Tools and the Problems They Met
Journal of Kirsehir Education Faculty , 2010,
Abstract: The aim of this study, learning approach based on the constructivist education classes measurement and evaluation tools used by teachers for their opinions described. This survey was prepared fort he purpose; the 52 primary schools worked K rsehir Social Studies teacher, has been applied to. Teachers in determining student success, they view themselves as more adequate fort he traditional measurement method was preferred. Assessment tools fort he problems they face in the crowd formed at the beginning of classes, cost and time is insufficient. Other results taken into account, the teachers' use of alternative measurement and evaluation tools in the preparation of training needs to be maintained.
Thinking on Cause

Beytulhikme : An International Journal of Philosophy , 2011,
Abstract: The causality which is the most important tools of information of philosophy and science is understood in different ways since Aristotle. Such that for someone the cause and affact principle is innate, and an experience derived from the habid for someone, and an illusion of metaphysics in the form of closed. The shape of daily life in this topic should be known with all of concepts and assumptions which shape its contents. These issiues open the door of these problems are even more challenging problems of philosophy when we look at them closely.
