Abstract: In a developing economy, like the one of Romania, frequent changes take place in all areas, including the banking market. The Romanian banking environment is frequently influenced by various factors. The article shows the changes that have taken place in the Romanian banking market during the period 2007-2010 as a consequence of these factors. The research consisted in presenting the most important political, economical, social and technological factors which have influenced the banking market after Romania’s integration to the European Union. Based on the analysis of these factors’ influence, I have presented the developing manner of the Romanian banking market after joining the European Union, but also the problems faced in the context of the current global crisis.

Abstract: The bank marketing, a specialized field of the marketing, has emerged following the extensive development of the general marketing and following the appearance, separation and development of services marketing. The article shows the appearance, development and delimitation of the bank marketing concept following the increase of the financial-banking sector in all world countries due to the appearance of new competitors and the competition intensification. The research consisted in presenting the evolution stages of the bank marketing and the manner in which the concept has been approached and perceived, in time, by various Romanian and foreign specialists. Through analysis, I have shown the importance of including the bank marketing concept into the assembly of tactical and strategic decisions of the banking companies.
Annals of the University of Petrosani : Economics , 2010,
Abstract: The very high exposure of the American banks during the past years, by investments on the real estate market and on those markets related to it, has generated the current financial crisis. Many investment banks and insurance companies have become casualties of the financial crisis, being purchased by other banks or taken over by the government in order to prevent bankruptcy. This paper presents the effects generated by the extension of the USA financial crisis into other states economies. The research consisted in presenting the assembly of the actions taken by the world states governments for saving or restructuring the financial systems. Based on country risk assessment, the paper also presents the situation of the best banks from the economies of the world countries, recently affected by this strong financial crisis.
Evolution of the Banking System before and after the Integration in the European Union
Vnt (Turkes) M. C.
Bulletin of the Transilvania University of Brasov. Series V : Economic Sciences , 2009,
Abstract: The article presents the whole of the regulations voted within 1991-2009 regarding the Romanian banking system reorganization and progress and, implicitly, its alignment to the European Union directives. The research consisted of the presentation of the best banks depending on the market share, profitability, own deposits and capital, but also the financial indicators and banking prudence in system. Based on the analysis of the financial-banking results, I have described the Romanian banking system expansion after the European Union integration and also the problems faced in the framework of the international financial crisis.
Management & Marketing , 2010,
Abstract: Over the past six decades, tourism has experienced continued growth and diversification to become one of the largest and fastest growing economic sectors in the world. Over time, more and more destinations have opened up and invested in tourism development, turning modern tourism into a key driver for socioeconomic progress. Tourism has become one of the major international trade categories. Today, the export income generated by international tourism ranks fourth after fuels, chemicals and automotive products. For many developing countries, it is one of the main income sources and the number one export category, creating much needed employment and opportunities for development. There are many roles and various responsibilities in the management of the tourist destination and marketing. These are lead in different ways, in different countries, but, in general, they are divided among the national, regional and local levels. The national level is normally responsible for more strategic roles, while the local level is responsible for the operational elements.
Spanning Properties of Theta-Theta Graphs
Mirela Damian,Dumitru V. Voicu
Computer Science , 2014,
Abstract: We study the spanning properties of Theta-Theta graphs. Similar in spirit with the Yao-Yao graphs, Theta-Theta graphs partition the space around each vertex into a set of k cones, for some fixed integer k > 1, and select at most one edge per cone. The difference is in the way edges are selected. Yao-Yao graphs select an edge of minimum length, whereas Theta-Theta graphs select an edge of minimum orthogonal projection onto the cone bisector. It has been established that the Yao-Yao graphs with parameter k = 6k' have spanning ratio 11.67, for k' >= 6. In this paper we establish a first spanning ratio of $7.82$ for Theta-Theta graphs, for the same values of $k$. We also extend the class of Theta-Theta spanners with parameter 6k', and establish a spanning ratio of $16.76$ for k' >= 5. We surmise that these stronger results are mainly due to a tighter analysis in this paper, rather than Theta-Theta being superior to Yao-Yao as a spanner. We also show that the spanning ratio of Theta-Theta graphs decreases to 4.64 as k' increases to 8. These are the first results on the spanning properties of Theta-Theta graphs.
Localized Spanners for Wireless Networks
Mirela Damian,Sriram V. Pemmaraju
Computer Science , 2008,
Abstract: We present a new efficient localized algorithm to construct, for any given quasi-unit disk graph G=(V,E) and any e > 0, a (1+e)-spanner for G of maximum degree O(1) and total weight O(w(MST)), where w(MST) denotes the weight of a minimum spanning tree for V. We further show that similar localized techniques can be used to construct, for a given unit disk graph G = (V, E), a planar Cdel(1+e)(1+pi/2)-spanner for G of maximum degree O(1) and total weight O(w(MST)). Here Cdel denotes the stretch factor of the unit Delaunay triangulation for V. Both constructions can be completed in O(1) communication rounds, and require each node to know its own coordinates.

Taste- and Flavour-Quenching of Horseradish by Hydrocolloids
V. Dieker,C. Rieger,G. Sauer,V. Szàntò
Advance Journal of Food Science and Technology , 2012,
Abstract: The intended aim of this study was to investigate the influence of different hydrocolloids on the pungency of horseradish. The utilized hydrocolloids were alginate, gellan gum and agar, each hydrocolloid was used in different concentrations. Horseradish-hydrocolloid-mixtures were prepared and tested by a taste panel. In general, the panelists got several samples of these horseradish-hydrocolloid-mixtures to order them in an increasing ranking according to pungency. The results show some distinctions in the effect of masking: Using alginate, the pungency of horseradish decreases right from the beginning continuously whereas the masking effect of gellan gum as well as agar started not before 2%.
Periodistas, Políticos Y Guerreros. Tres Hipótesis Sobre La Visibilidad Mediática De La Guerra En Colombia.
Jorge Bonilla Vélez,Catalina
Revista de Estudios Sociales , 2003,
Abstract: The purpose of this article is to analyze the role of the media, in general, and the role of journalism in particular, in the present situation of war in Colombia. The article elaborates three hypotheses that intend to establish a theoretical discussion with some of the more hegemonic concepts that have established the limits of the professional and intellectual field of the journalism in this type of situations.
