Identificación de especies y áreas prioritarias para el estudio de la reproducción de aves rapaces de Argentina
El hornero , 2007,
Abstract: ninety seven publications on raptor breeding biology in argentina (until 2006) were analyzed and classified according to species, year of publication, province, habitat associations, and subject. the amount of publications has increased, especially since 1970. almost all provinces are represented. there is no quantitative information for 33 species, 19 diurnal and 14 nocturnal. to determine priority areas for the study of reproduction, species richness, number of endemic or exclusive species, conservation status and degree of information on the species were considered for each life zone. on this basis, selva paranaense, yungas, chaco, and the andean-patagonian forests were established as the most important areas. analyzing the preferred habitat of the 33 species with no information, 85% are typical forest species. an evident disparity exists between the achieved knowledge and the necessity of conserving a vulnerable fauna (for its low habitat utilization flexibility and higher conservation risk). this is due to two fundamental factors: scarcity of researchers, and structural complexity of the habitat.

Análisis cognitivo de situaciones problema con sistemas de ecuaciones algebraicas en el contexto del balance de materia
Trejo Trejo, Elia;Camarena Gallardo, Patricia;
Educación matemática , 2011,
Abstract: in this article, a research that carries out the cognitive analysis of a focus group is reported, where students from a technical university career approach the systems of linear algebraic equations in the context of matter balance in problem situations of chemical mixtures. the cognitive analysis of the focus group is based on the theories of conceptual fields and on the mathematics in the sciences context. in order to do the analysis, special attention is placed in the representations built by students on the invariants in the understanding scheme and in the solution scheme, when facing a problem of contextualized mathematics. while analyzing students' acting, different types of own representations of the context arise during the development of the research, and consequently a proposal of classification for those types of representation settles down.
Una estimación de aves muertas en ruta en el Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi, noroeste de la Patagonia argentina
Trejo,Ana; Seijas,Susana;
El hornero , 2003,
Abstract: a 27 km-section of the national route 258 which goes from san carlos de bariloche to el bolsón, in río negro province, northwestern argentine patagonia, was surveyed four times a day during three years. the section considered lies in nahuel huapi national park. all birds found dead along this road were collected. when possible, each individual was identified as juvenile or adult. based on these data, the avian mortality rate was estimated for all species and for the most frequently found species. considering the total number of kilometres in the park, a preliminary estimation of the annual toll of birds killed on roads was performed. twenty-nine bird species (belonging to 13 families) were found, and strix rufipes predominated with 10 individuals found dead. the annual mortality rate was 0.54 ± 0.19 birds per kilometre per year; the rate for strix rufipes was 0.19 ± 0.08. the determination of factors influencing the relatively high road mortality of strix rufipes (considered a scarce species in the park), would be of importance for its conservation at local and regional scales.
La educación desde la teoría del capital humano y el otro
Garrido Trejo,Cassandra;
Educere , 2007,
Abstract: this paper attempts to examine education from the theory of human capital and, within this framework, of an objectified subject faced with a subjective object. we use the definition of the oecd for the so-called human capital and under this perspective, the detailed explanation of the role of education in the capitalist productive system

Abstract: a brief historical review of the role of the elderly over different periods in western history is made. the esteem of the elderly had its highest point during primitive epochs when an illiterate culture prevailed. after those remote times their social valuation suffered diverse vicissitudes. most of the time older people were devaluated, although it is necessary to make a distinction between the aged as an individual-whose value relates to his economical power or prestige- and the aged as a social group. going along the different historical epochs helps us to understand current situation of the elderly. this is a necessary condition for giving an answer to the great challenge this age group of ever increasing demographic growth poses
Nutrición en la enfermedad de Alzheimer
Trejo Contreras, Aracelí;
Archivos de neurociencias (México, D.F.) , 2004,
Abstract: alzheimer disease (ad) is a degenerative illness of the central nervous system, characterized by memory loss and cognitive dysfunction. a high risk for developing energetic protein malnutrition has been identified in ad patients, which is associated with morbidity and mortality increments. the nutritional status of ad patients is affected by their lack of independency, orientation difficulties, eating behavior disturbance and frequent ambulatory activity, among other problems related with this disease. as a consequence, these patients experience weight loss, which increases according to the severity and progression of the disease, even though energy intake is higher in ad patients as compared with non-demented subjects. in addition, body mass index and body fat percent have been found lower in ad patients than in control healthy subjects, and some studies have also reported decreased levels of b 12 vitamin, thiamine, folate and albumin. is extremely important to asses periodically the nutritional status of ad patients, in order to maintain adequate energy and nutriments supply, which will be reflected in an acceptable nutritional status.
