Agricultural Sciences (AS) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/as.2015.61006
Abstract: In order to get RS method to extract soil salinity of the Yellow River Delta, we set Kenli County as typical Yellow River Delta to be research area and get data of soil salinity through field investigation. By using RS image of Landsat-8 of March 14, 2014 and analyzing information features of each band and surface spectral features of research areas, we select out sensitive bands and build Soil Salinity Information Extraction (SSIE) model and vegetation index NDVI model for comparison. And then, we accordingly classify grades of soil salinity and get soil salinity information by decision tree approach based on expert knowledge. The results show that overall accuracy of SSIE model is 93.04% and coefficient of Kappa is 0.7869, while overall accuracy of NDVI model is 83.67% and coefficient of Kappa is 0.7017 respectively. By comparing with measured proportions of each class, we see that results from SSIE model is more accurate, which indicates significant advantage for soil salinity information extraction. This research provides scientific basis to get and monitoring soil salinity of the Yellow River Delta region quickly and accurately.
Rapid screening of Salmonella enterica serovars Enteritidis, Hadar, Heidelberg and Typhimurium using a serologically-correlative allelotyping PCR targeting the O and H antigen alleles
Yang Hong, Tongrui Liu, Margie D Lee, Charles L Hofacre, Marie Maier, David G White, Sherry Ayers, Lihua Wang, Roy Berghaus, John J Maurer
BMC Microbiology , 2008, DOI: 10.1186/1471-2180-8-178
Abstract: By analyzing the nucleotide sequences of the genes for O-antigen biosynthesis including wba operon and the central variable regions of the H1 and H2 flagellin genes in Salmonella, designated PCR primers for four multiplex PCR reactions were used to detect and differentiate Salmonella serogroups A/D1, B, C1, C2, or E1; H1 antigen types i, g, m, r or z10; and H2 antigen complexes, I: 1,2; 1,5; 1,6; 1,7 or II: e,n,x; e,n,z15. Through the detection of these antigen gene allele combinations, we were able to distinguish among S. enterica serovars Enteritidis, Hadar, Heidelberg, and Typhimurium. The assays were useful in identifying Salmonella with O and H antigen gene alleles representing 43 distinct serovars. While the H2 multiplex could discriminate between unrelated H2 antigens, the PCR could not discern differences within the antigen complexes, 1,2; 1,5; 1,6; 1,7 or e,n,x; e,n,z15, requiring a final confirmatory PCR test in the final serovar reporting of S. enterica.Multiplex PCR assays for detecting specific O and H antigen gene alleles can be a rapid and cost-effective alternative approach to classical serotyping for presumptive identification of S. enterica serovars Enteritidis, Hadar, Heidelberg, and Typhimurium. There are approximately 15 cases of salmonellosis per 100,000 persons annually in the United States, more than double the 2010 Healthy People goal of 6.8 cases/100,000 individuals per year [1]. In order to reduce human illnesses, epidemiological measures have been implemented to reduce the source(s) of infection. Because food animals and poultry are recognized as important reservoirs of Salmonella [2,3], the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) implemented an "in plant" Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) program to reduce the prevalence of foodborne pathogen contamination in meats, eggs, and milk. Although in-plant HACCP programs have been successful, further reductions in Salmonella contamina

Chaos Control in a Discrete Ecological System  [PDF]
Limin Zhang, Chaofeng Zhang
International Journal of Modern Nonlinear Theory and Application (IJMNTA) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/ijmnta.2012.13011
Abstract: In research [1], the authors investigate the dynamic behaviors of a discrete ecological system. The period-double bifurcations and chaos are found in the system. But no strategy is proposed to control the chaos. It is well known that chaos control is the first step of utilizing chaos. In this paper, a controller is designed to stabilize the chaotic orbits and enable them to be an ideal target one. After that, numerical simulations are presented to show the correctness of theoretical analysis.

Dehua Zhang, Xiaoyan Zhang
Journal of Crystallization Process and Technology (JCPT) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/jcpt.2013.31004
Abstract:

In this analysis, the single crystal of schiff base has been synthesized and the purity of material has been increased by repeated recrystallization process. Single crystal was grown by adopting the method growing in a slow evaporation solution using ethanol as solvent at room temperature. A new fluorescent molecule based on Schiff base has been synthesised and its binding properties investigated by fluorescence spectroscopy to show that it can selectively bind Cu2+ with fluorescence quenching.

Mathematical Reasoning of Economic Intervening Principle Based on “Yin Yang Wu Xing” Theory in Traditional Chinese Economics (I)  [PDF]
Ziqing Zhang, Yingshan Zhang
Modern Economy (ME) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/me.2013.42016
Abstract:

By using mathematical reasoning, this paper demonstrates the economic intervening principle: “Virtual disease is to fill his mother but real disease is to rush down his son” and “ Strong inhibition of the same time, support the weak” based on “Yin Yang Wu Xing” Theory in Traditional Chinese Economics (TCE). We defined generalized relations and generalized reasoning, introduced the concept of steady multilateral systems with two non-compatibility relations, and discussed its energy properties. Later based on the intervening principle of TCE and treated the economic society as a steady multilateral system, it has been proved that the intervening principle above is true. The kernel of this paper is the existence and reasoning of the non-compatibility relations in steady multilateral systems, and it accords with the oriental thinking model.

Influence Factor Analysis on Strength of Lime-Fly Ash Loess  [PDF]
Yufen Zhang, Zhiquan Zhang
Engineering (ENG) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/eng.2013.56068
Abstract: Lime-fly ash loess is composed of fly ash, lime and loess. It is a new material in subgrade backfill. Main factors to influence the strength of lime-fly ash loess are age, amount of fly ash and lime, ratio of fly ash to lime (1:K), and moisture content. In order to observe the effect of each factor influencing the strength of lime-fly ash loess and find out the relationship between each other, this paper adopted orthogonal test design to conduct unconfined compression tests. The result shows that 90d strength can be considered to calculate the strength of lime-fly ash loess in practice. And the most important factor to influence the 90d strength of lime-fly ash loess is the amount of fly ash and lime, the second is moisture content, and then is the ratio of fly ash to lime (1:K). These achievements are significant to the design and application of lime-fly ash loess in subgrade construction of loess areas.
Psychological Characteristics of Entrepreneurship of College Students in China  [PDF]
Hua Zhang, Ying Zhang
Psychology (PSYCH) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/psych.2013.43023
Abstract:

The study investigated the psychological characteristics of entrepreneurship of 829 college students in Chinaby questionnaire. The psychological characteristics include five aspects: entrepreneurial capacity, entrepreneurial belief, entrepreneurial consciousness, entrepreneurial motivation, and entrepreneurial determination. In the five factors, the entrepreneurial consciousness of college students is the highest, and the other four are almost at the same level. There is significant difference on entrepreneurial belief, consciousness, and motivation in different gender of students. Also there is significant difference on entrepreneurial consciousness in different major students and on entrepreneurial motivation in different degree students. However, the college students only with high entrepreneurial consciousness are not enough to succeed in business. The other four psychological characteristics are not only essential to entrepreneurship, but also necessary to their future professional development. College students should have a lot of preparation and accumulation on the other four psychological characteristics of entrepreneurship, and give much more effort to improve them.
