ONTACT – THE CLIENT - ORGANIZATION SYNAPSIS
Adriana MANOLIC?,Teodora Cristina ROMAN,Ioana GRASU
Scientific Annals of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi : Economic Sciences Series , 2011,
Abstract: In a more and more diverse service related economical environment the client is ambushed by lots of information regarding that particular area. The customer’s attitude towards either a certain type of service or the other comes mainly from inexact sources of information detained before having had a direct contact with the company at hand. Most of the time this information is absorbed via friends, commercials and it is subjective. Nevertheless, this initial type of information is not static at all. It has the tendency of working its way up towards modifying the company’s attitude towards customers. A great role in this molding process has the assistance personnel. Those people are the lesion between the company and the client, transforming the customer’s needs into potential services. In certain cases these service people can help bend certain company’s offers around certain customers. This article aims at underlying the role of these particular service people, as an interface between the client and the company. The main objective of these paper is finding the appropriate staff contact characteristics for different types of services. Their existence determines the relationship between client and organization, transforming the customer desires into services that can be offered and simultaneously modeling (where applicable) the company's offer according to the client.
La logistique dans la grande distribution
TEODORA ROMAN
Scientific Annals of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi : Economic Sciences Series , 2006,
Investigations on the function of primary roots in the mineral uptake
A. ROMAN,Teodora MARCU
Notulae Botanicae Horti Agrobotanici Cluj-Napoca , 1967,
Abstract: The experiments have been carried out in the plant pots, nutrient solution, and field conditions P32. The Spring Marquis wheat and Proctor spring barley have been used as biological materials. The results obtained in all the experiments proved that both primary rootsand adventitious roots have the capacity of uptake and persisting until the maturity of strawed cereals. Thus it is possible to supply the plants with nutrient elements from superficial layers of the soil by means of the adventitious roots that are shorter, and form lower soil layers as well by means of the primary roots that are longer. The semional roots can nourish the plants with nutrient elements until the maturity even in the absence of adventitious roots a fact invalidated by a great number of research workers. The uptake capacity of the adventitious roots is smaller than that of the primary roots.
GLOBALISATION – ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE MANUFACTURER
Adriana Manolic?,Teodora Roman
CES Working Papers , 2012,
Abstract: Years ago, at the beginning of the nuclear age, Einstein asserted that the atomic bomb would completely change the world. Currently, the same can be said about globalization. Globalization, thephenomenon which especially affects economy and life, is now one of the most debated topics in history: lectures, articles, books. Worldwide specialists in economics, politics, and sociology have analyzed in thousands of pages the phenomenon of globalization, its forms, evolution, impact and trends, but the views are so diverse and contradictory that it still is not reached even a universally accepted definition. Perhaps it is the so controversial topic that makes him so attractive. If some persons believe that the phenomenon of globalization ends before reaching its peak, others consider that the current situation is just the beginning of an era in which there are no boundaries.

Central Banks’ Response to the Current Financial Crisis – Between Costs and Benefits
Teodora Cristina Barbu,Iustina Boitan
International Journal of Economics and Financial Issues , 2012,
Abstract: Our study is inserted in the thematic area dedicated, during recent years, to the research on central banks’ response to financial crisis. The global financial crisis has outlined a series of weaknesses located at regulatory and supervisory activities’ level, causing major central banks to face a new operating environment, in which traditional monetary policy tools are ineffective (key interest rate close to zero) in restoring the financial markets’ proper functioning. The unconventional monetary policy measures, the dramatic fall of the key interest rate, the balance sheet structure modification and extension of collateral accepted by central banks are the main issues on which we focused our attention, to highlight the costs and benefits recorded by these institutions. All major central banks have implemented highly innovative, flexible facilities and the main beneficiaries have been the banking systems in their entirety.

Implications of the single supervisory mechanism on ECB's functions and on credit institutions' activity
Teodora Cristina BARBU,Iustina Alina BOITAN
Theoretical and Applied Economics , 2013,
Abstract: The European Commission's proposal launched on September 12, 2012 for conferring the European Central Bank extended powers in the field of Euro zone banking supervision has become a hotly debated topic across EU member states. Until now, there is still strong resilience of the EU countries outside the single currency area. The prospects for its practical implementation raised, however, a series of questions related to its technical feasibility. Our paper intends to shed light on some issues concerning the implications of the single monitoring mechanism on the traditional functions of the ECB, on the coexistence between supranational supervision and the national one, and on various facets of the impact that the new architecture of European banking supervision will have on the business of credit institutions, in terms of performance indicators, efficiency, risk and competition.

LIMITS AND VULNERABILITIES OF BANKING PROFITABILITY INDICATORS DURING THE FINANCIAL CRISIS
TEODORA CRISTINA BARBU,IUSTINA ALINA BOITAN
Challenges of the Knowledge Society , 2012,
Abstract: Bank performance measurement, as an expression of banks’ ability to generate sustainable profits, is a topic of major interest, located in the core of all categories of participants involved in the banking business: banking supervisory authorities, rating agencies, shareholders, investors and analysts of banking activity. Recent developments in bank profitability during the global financial crisis have highlighted a number of limitations of traditional banking performance measurement indicators, in respect of their capacity to provide relevant, credible and genuine information related to credit institutions’ activity. In this article we intend to argue, by investigations at conceptual and quantitative level, the extent to which traditional indicators of bank profitability provide a comprehensive and real insight into the credit institutions’ financial performance. The empirical study applies the stress test methodology, through which is assessed the extent to which Romanian banking system‘s performance, represented by ROE, changes in the context of defining adverse, but plausible scenarios. Hence, it had been simulated ROE’s degree of response for three types of scenarios. We have applied both univariate stress tests (sensitivity analysis) in order to isolate the potential impact of each risk factor on bank profitability, and multivariate stress tests, which allow the simultaneous application of multiple shocks on risk factors. The results show the most important risk factors that adversely affect banking system’s profitability and the concrete value by which profitability is expected to decrease for each scenario analyzed.
