Milestones for Computing Future  [PDF]
Teodor Rus
Journal of Software Engineering and Applications (JSEA) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/jsea.2016.92003
Abstract: Computer applications expand continuously as problem solvers in all areas of human life. Yet, computer scientists have difficulties in calling computer science the “science of computer based problem solving methodology”. This is probably caused by the development of software technology as a collection of tools dedicated to computer experts. The paper proposes a new methodology for computer based problem solving based on problem domain dedicated software tools. This prevents the exponential growth of software tool complexity and does not require computer user to be a computer expert.
Aspects of Costs Calculation in a Vegetable Production Farm
Teodor HADA
Risk in Contemporary Economy , 2012,
Abstract: This paper deals with the aspects of the issue of costs calculation for a vegetable production farm in terms of theory and practice. Aspects of the active accounting regulations, applicable to vegetable production farms, are presented in the content. Features of the vegetable production are detailed, and the applicability of costs calculation methods is shown by the example of the “to order” method. In terms of accounting, there are presented the records made in the management accounting, in the financial accounting and also the conclusions to be drawn in terms of management accounting utility in financial decision making.
THE CONCEPT OF "SMART DEFENSE" IN THE CONTEXT OF AN EFFICIENT DEFENSE PLANNING
Teodor FRUNZETI
Journal of Defense Resources Management , 2012,
Abstract: The international security environment is currently undergoing a series of fundamental changes becoming increasingly complex. Consequently, international actors need to find innovative ways to manage security and defense. The global financial and economic crisis has had a strong impact on military budgets, making it necessary for states and regional and international organizations concerned with such issues to streamline their defense planning and the more so because, in addition to the already consecrated risks and security threats, there are also new challenges. The concepts of “pooling and sharing” and “smart defense” have become, in this context, increasingly popular generating new initiatives in defense planning. However, despite some successes in this regard and their presentation as ideal solutions for managing defense in the current context, these concepts involve a number of difficulties to overcome that sometimes may translate into strategic political military and even economic disadvantages.
HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT EDUCATION - FROM OPERATIONAL CONCEPTUALIZATION TO THE MILITARY SYSTEM’S TRANSFORMATION
Teodor FRUNZETI
Journal of Defense Resources Management , 2010,
Abstract: The strategic environment underwent significant alterations having to do with the nature and typology of risks, both globally and regionally. Therefore, military policies and strategies have altered significantly, that is, passing from risk-based defense planning to capability-based defense planning. This calls for the development of a robust modeling and simulation architecture of the military systems for educational and training purposes in order to achieve short-, medium-, and long-term capabilities. The accomplishment of an education and training architecture at a joint and inter-agency level permits the analysis and confirmation of solutions for functional fields.
Heidegger and Blumenberg on modernity Heidegger e Blumenberg sobre a modernidade
Teodor Negru
Trans/Form/A??o , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/s0101-31732012000200006
Abstract: The debate surrounding the way in which Heidegger and Blumenberg understand the modern age is an opportunity to discuss two different approaches to history. On one hand, from Heidegger's perspective, history should be understood as starting from how Western thought related to Being, which, in metaphysical thinking, took the form of the forgetfulness of Being. Thus, the modern age represents the last stage in the process of forgetfulness of Being, which announces the moment of the rethinking of the relationship with Being by appealing to the authentic disclosure of Being. On the other hand, Blumenberg understands history as the result of the reoccupation process, which means replacing old theories with other new ones. Thus, to the historical approach it is not important to identify epochs as periods of time between two events, but to think about the discontinuities occurring throughout history. Starting from here, the modern age will be thought of not as an expression of the radicalization of the forgetfulness of Being, but as a response to the crises of medieval conceptions. For the same reason, the interpretation of history as a history of the forgetfulness of Being is considered by Blumenberg to subordinate history to an absolute principle, without taking into account its protagonists' needs and necessities.

ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENTS A SOURCE FOR THE FINANCIAL DSECISIONS OF INSOLVENT COMPANIES
Hada Teodor
Annals of the University of Oradea : Economic Science , 2010,
Abstract: The paper presents the importance of financial statements in determining the insolvency of a company. The first part of the article presents a case study and the main signals of bankruptcy: negative working capital, negative equity capitals, losses, etc. In the end of the paper we detail issues that are not observable and that are related to the actual management of the company.
Operating Cash Surplus Determinations
Teodor HADA
Annals of Dun?rea de Jos University. Fascicle I : Economics and Applied Informatics , 2009,
Abstract: The paper defines the concept of operating surplus. Then, it is compared to thegross operating surplus and the differences are identified. The two calculationmethods are presented next: (1) operating revenue less operating charges and(2) the gross operating surplus less ΔWCN (Working capital needs) lessimmobilised production less stored production less other operating revenues). Then, a three year study is presented (2005-2007) and the results areinterpreted. Then, there is a correlation between the operating cash flow surplusand the operating cash flows.
Aspects Regarding the Leasing Cost
Teodor HADA
Annals of Dun?rea de Jos University. Fascicle I : Economics and Applied Informatics , 2011,
Abstract: The paper aims to present legal aspects regarding leasing in Romania, and to take a look at the characteristics of the operational and financial leasing. The costs of the financial and operational leasing are also analyzed, as is the case study that approaches the cost of a bank loan. By using three examples of a real company, we wish to identify the components for each type of leasing and for the bank loan. The actuarial cost of leasing is determined with the help of an Excel method, which was adapted for this type of equation. By the end af the article, we wish to prove that leasing is beneficial for economic agents.
Development of a Simulink toolbox for friction control design and compensation
Teodor DUMITRIU
Annals of Dunarea de Jos , 2005,
Abstract: This paper focuses on the development of a MATLAB/Simulink library for servo-systems with friction as a part of a new simulation platform dedicated to model, analysis and control design of friction. It is well known that friction is a very important process for the control engineering both for high-precision servo – mechanisms and simple pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Highly nonlinear process, friction may result in steady state errors, limit cycles and poor performance. It is therefore important for control engineering to understand friction phenomena and to know how to deal with them. Moreover, a reliable library of friction models that captures the friction behavior provides an important tool in order to investigate by analysis and simulation the properties of friction that are relevant to control design.
