Preparation of Spherical UO2 Ceramic Particles by Sol-Gel Method

Abstract: The spherical UO2 ceramic particles were prepared by a sol-gel method with U3O8 powders as raw material, which combines advantages of external gelation and internal gelation methods. The process includes steps of sol preparation, gel particles forming, aging, ashing, drying, calcining, reducing, sintering, sieving and separating. The crystal form of the ceramic particle is face-centered cubic, and its density reaches 98.18% of the theoretical density value. All of the O/U ratio, diameter, sphericity and odd-shaped particles fraction can reach the design specification. Influences of many factors are also analyzed.

Abstract: An approach to design and implement the control function of LD (Ladder Diagram) in the hydropower simulation system based on all paths searching algorithm is proposed in this paper. LD is widely used as a programming language for PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), but it doesn’t be executed automatically in the hydropower simulation system which is a software system, and there is no compiler or interpretation for LD in it. The approach in this paper is not only to present a graphical interface to design LD, but also implement its control function through transforming it to a corresponding undigraph, in which, all paths be-tween two vertexes (live wire and null line) are searched by the proposed algorithm. An application example is presented to verify the validity of the algorithm and shows that the algorithm is correct and practicable. In addition, how to implement the control function based on object-oriented thought is introduced. The running time is shown at last, which proves that the system with the algorithm can meet the real-time request in the hydropower simulation system.

Abstract: 制备了MoO3-V2O5-P2O5-Fe2O3系磷酸盐玻璃,研究了玻璃形成能力、热膨胀系数和抗潮解等性能.结果表明,MoO3-V2O5-P2O5-Fe2O3系统具有较宽的玻璃形成区和较强的玻璃形成能力,当MoO3/V2O5≈1.5时,玻璃形成能力最强.MoO3-V2O5-P2O5-Fe2O3玻璃的热膨胀系数约为60~110×10-7/℃,并且随着Fe2O3含量的增加而逐渐增大.加入适量的Fe2O3能够显著改善MoO3-V2O5-P2O5玻璃的抗潮解性能,在90℃的去离子水中的溶解速率达到8.0×10-9g·cm-2·min-1.

Abstract: A technology to deposite cadmium sulfide nanoparticles on the surface of carbon nan-otubes was proposed, the processing parameters were discussed. Experiment results indicated that by chemical reaction of cadmium chloride and thioacetamide on acid oxidized carbon nanotubes solution, cadmium sulfide nanoparticles were densely deposited on carbon nanotubes with small sizes and uniform distribution.

Abstract: The mixed mode fractures in quasi-rock materials under compression-shear loading are usually simulated using Grifflth cracks with zero thickness. It leads to the result that the initiation angles of wing cracks are independent of the fracture orientation angles and the confining pressure. However, many previous experiments showed this conclusion was not valid necessarily. Therefore, a theoretical and also an experimental analyes are carried out to investigate the influence of geometric characteristic on the initiation angles of wing cracks, e.g. the thickness of pre-existing fractures and the radius of curvature near the fracture tip. The proposed method will provide a theoretical frame for the experimental analysis of mixed mode fractures of samples under compression-shear loading, and also for further stress analysis of the morphologically complex cracks.

Abstract: Based on the data from three seismic stations CHY, CHN2 and CHN8 of Taiwan Central Weather Bureau Seismic Network (CWBSN), the systematic analysis eth od (SAM) of shear-wave splitting has been used to do the near-source stress-f orecast research of temporal preseismic variations of polarization directions an d time delays in nearly 22 months before 1999 ML 6.4 and ML 6.0 earthquakes in the Chiayi area, the aftershock zone of MW7.6 Chichi, Taiwan earthquake of September 20, 1999.The result shows that the normal polarization directions of station CHY, CHN2 and CHN8 are approximately EW, in good agreement with the direction of maximum compressional stress, suggesting that the anisotropy in this area is controlled by local tectonic stress field. The results strongly indicate that in the stress critical stage, the polarization 90°-flips occurred frequently, and that there were abrupt decreases in time delays shortly before the Chichi mainshock and two Chiayi earthquakes. These can be considered as two precursors of stress-forecast. We think that the temporal variations of shear-wave splitting are of great importance, since they provide information about source stress processes and critical warning information before large earthquakes.

Abstract: When one side of cladding layer of a FBG was reduced to several micrometers by polishing,a FBG become a side polished FBG.Based on the polishing method with a motor-driven polishing wheel, it was studyed that response of Bragg wave-length of side-polished FBG to the refractive indexes of materials overlaid the polished area of a side polished FBG by both theoretical simulation and experiments.Both simulation and experiments showed that the Bragg wavelength of side polished FBG shifted to the longer wavelength direction as the refractive index of the overlaying material increased.The experimentd showed that the more closer to the core layer of fiber the polished surface was the more bigger the shift of the Bragg wavelength was.As the index of the overlaying material changed from 1.389 7 to 1.447 9,the shift of Bragg wavelength got to 1.402 nm.The side polished FBG with good sensitivity to outer overlaying material could be used for process of FBG wavelength tuning or as an refractive index sensors.

Abstract: 采用RAPD技术测定分析了河北省皱大球蚧和瘤坚大球蚧8个地理种群的遗传结构。结果表明:5种引物在8个种群中共产生了65条RAPD标记,各地理种群之间没有产生各自的特征标记;不同种群间的遗传相似程度与其地理间距呈反比;种群内的遗传相似程度比种间高。Shannon信息指数表明,皱大球蚧的平均遗传多样性高于瘤坚大球蚧,分别为0.3456和0.3225,说明物种不同,其变异程度也不同。

Abstract: Photodynamics of two kinds of peripheral antenna complexes light harvesting 2 (LH2) of Rb. Sphaeroides 601, namely the native LH2 and B800-released LH2, where B800-BChls were partially or completely removed with different pH treatments, were studied using femtosecond pump-probe technique at different laser wavelengths. The obtained results for these samples demonstrate that under the excitation around B800 absorption band, the photoabsorption and photobleaching dynamics are caused by the direct excitation of upper excitonic levels of B850 and excited state of B800 pigments, respectively.
