Abstract: Generally used remote decoding techniques are based solely on the concept of polling. Such methods waste a considerable amount of precious execution time in polling. Interrupt based systems can utilize this time for multitasking. This study has proposed a new technique based on interrupts and discussed its possible implementation.
The treatment of nystagmus by periodic light influence

Abstract: The data about results of treatment of nystagmus by periodic light influence are brought. 56 patients with various kinds of nystagmus received the treatment. After treatment the stable reduction of nystagmus' amplitude was observed in 85 % of cases. The efficiency of treatment raised at reduction of a time interval between repeated courses of treatment. It is marked, that at an arrangement of light sources along the horizontal axis parallel to an axis of eyes' arrangement, at vertical and rotator nystagmus light influence can suppress, for example, a horizontal component of nystagmus, poorly influencing on its vertical component. It is shown, that accommodation of light sources in these cases in a frontal plane with an opportunity of a choice of it's position can raise efficiency of treatment of vertical or rotator nystagmus

Abstract: this study was carried out in the 1987/88, 1988/89 and 1992/93 soybean growing seasons to evaluate the infestation levels and damage of sternechus subsignatus (boheman). experiments were set on soybean under no-tillage in cruz alta, rio grande do sul state. infestation of one adult/m of row and two adults/m of row at v2-v5 growing stages caused significant reductions on yield when compared to uninfested plants. increasing number of adults/m of row decreased plant population, plant height and first pod height (significant negative correlations) and increased the number of dead and damaged plants (significant positive correlations). significant negative correlations were observed between yield and number of dead and damaged plants, and significant positive correlations between yield and plant population, plant height and first pod height. infestation levels of 20% or more damaged plants caused significant differences on yield in relation to the check plots. taking into account the damage caused by the insect it is suggested the level of 0.4 adult/m of soybean row as an indicator to start application of foliar insecticides to protect the soybean plants.

Abstract: larvae of diloboderus abderus sturm (coleoptera: melolonthidae) is an important wheat (triticum aestivum l.) pest under no-tillage system in the southern region of brazil. this study aimed to evaluate doses of different insecticides applied as seed treatment. the effectiveness of the insecticides were assessed by determining the number of larvae in the soil at 30, 60 and 90 days after emergence, the plant biomass at 90 days after emergence, the number of ears at 120 days after emergence and the grain yield. significant negative correlations were obtained between doses of insecticides and number of larvae. significant positive correlations were observed between doses of insecticides and plant biomass and number of ears. larvae infestations in non-treated plots caused significant yield losses when compared to plots treated with insecticides. increasing doses of insecticides increased yield. although imidacloprid was not very effective in reducing larval population, doses above 350, 125, 320 and 42 g a.i. /100 kg of seeds of the insecticides thiodicarb, carbossulfan, furathiocarb and imidacloprid, respectively, were efficient in preventing reductions in grain yields on wheat, under inicial infestations between 18 and 26 larvae/m2.

Abstract: this work was carried out in the 1991, 1992 and 1994 growing seasons, in cruz alta, rio grande do sul state. the objective was to evaluate the infestation levels and damage of diloboderus abderus (sturm) in wheat under no-tillage. infestations above 5.0 larvae/m2 caused significant reductions on yield when compared to uninfested plants. increasing number of larvae/m2 increased damaged plants with decreased plant population, number of ears, plant biomass and yield. control levels were of 5.4 in 1991, 3.0 in 1992 and 6.1 larvae/m2 in 1994. significant negative correlations were observed between number of larvae and plant population, number of ears, plant biomass and yield. significant positive correlations were obtained between yield and plant population, number of ears and plant biomass. results of the insect damage suggested the control level of 5.0 larvae/m2 as indicator for wheat seed treatment with insecticides.

Abstract: Morphological and anatomical features of floating and submerged (linear and dissected) leaves have been analyzed for Trapa natans L. plants, which characterized by heterophylly. The presence of various types of leaf lamina structure in floating and submerged leaves was confirmed. The morphological and anatomical features of two types of submerged leaves are differed from the features of floating leaves in vegetative phase of growth by the next features: form of leaf lamina, type of mesophyll, cell’s size, number of cellular layers of photosynthesizing parenchyma, and an absence of stomata.

Abstract: Efektivitas Bacillus thuringiensis H-14 galur lokal formulasi bubuk telah dilakukan terhadap jentik Aedes aegypti pada berbagai tipe penampungan air (TPA), yaitu drum (metal), bak mandi, gentong (tempayan) dan TPA lain terbuat dari bahan plastik. Penelitian di Dusun Margosari Kelurahan Salatiga, Kecamatan Sidorejo sebagai daerah perlakuan dan Kelurahan Mangunsari sebagai daerah kontrol, masing-masing 40 rumah penduduk. Penebaran B. thuringiensis H-14 galur lokal formulasi bubuk 0, l mg untuk TPA dengan volume air 20 liter dilakukan tiga kali penebaran dengan interval waktu 2 minggu. Efektivitas B. thuringiensis H-14 galur lokal formulasi bubuk terhadap jentik Ae. aegypti pada berbagai TPA berlangsung 2 minggu. Penurunan jumlah TPA positif mengandung jentik Ae. aegypti sebesar 78,0 - 100% dan toksisitas residual B. thuringiensis H-14 galur lokal formulasi bubuk terhadap jentik B. thuringiensis H-14 galur lokal lebih besar 80% (87,40 - 100%) masing-masing setelah penebaran B. thuringiensis H-14 galur lokal I, II dan III pada evaluasi hari ke-14. Bacillus thuringiensis H-14 galur lokal formulasi bubuk dapat digunakan sebagai agen pengendali vektor. Kata kunci: B. thuringiensis H-14, galur lokal, Aedes aegypti, TPA
