Storage and Retrieval of Medical Images using Cloud Computing

Abstract: Every year health care organizations craft petabytes of data in terms of patient records, medical images and lab results. The dispute for healthcare facilities is maintaining medical images for enduring access while shielding them in a way that meets Health Information portability and accountability ACT requirements for privacy and disaster recovery. This act needs providers to stock up the data for years and decades. The main focus of the health care organization is about the expenditure of an onsite medical image database. Scalability and safeguarding are the most important concern for the domestic network and health care providers while storing huge amount of medical images. Cloud computing is one of the most inspiring technologies because of its cost effectiveness, elasticity, accessibility and scalability which can be an expected way out for the troubles one faced for stock up the images. Microsoft Windows Azure is one of the platforms in cloud computing used to store flexible images. To hold the client queries, Azure includes a server called Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine Server Windows Azure will supply this sort of service oriented applications.
Cloud-computing Framework for Network Monitoring

Abstract: Cloud computing is the recent realm of today’s networking. In today’s world highly skilled network admin is essential to monitor the organizations network throughout the clock. The organization spread across geological areas lack in unified view of monitoring approach. The versatility of the network system, needs compulsory changes in network monitoring. The Cloud Computing Framework which solves the problems of combined view of Network Management Servers executes the task constantly and gives consistent summary of results. And also, it enables remote monitoring which need not want the network admin to be near the system always. The focus was to design a model framework of cloud computing and implement two of the cloud-ware. The ‘Cloud Cop’ cloud computing framework provides Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS). A desktop application to monitor the shared network in the back-end is developed. The User Interface is designed using Java Applet.
Antioxidant and Free Radical Scavenging Effect of Acanthus ilicifolius

Abstract: Acanthus ilicifolius is a mangrove plant and it used coastal village peoples for traditional folk medicine method for varies disease. In general salt tolerance plants have a more antioxidant constitute. In the present study researchers have examine different type of anti oxidant capacity like that total phenolic, DPPH radical, nitraxcite radical, hydroxyl radical and ABC radical in two solvent extract of ethanol and aqueous for different concentration like 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0. In the result showed that maximum in 2.0 mg mL-1 of leaves extract of ethanol and minimum in aqueous extract in 0.1 concentration for all antioxidant assay. In this result showed that highly effect in antioxidant levels in two solvent extract and varies concentration so there would be a good antioxidant property.

Abstract: For the first time a mathematical modelling of porous catalyst particles subject to both internal mass concentration gradients as well as temperature gradients, in endothermic or exothermic reactions has been reported. This model contains a non-linear mass balance equation which is related to rate expression. This paper presents an approximate analytical method (Modified Adomian decomposition method) to solve the non-linear differential equations for chemical kinetics with diffusion effects. A simple and closed form of expressions pertaining to substrate concentration and utilization factor is presented for all value of diffusion parameters. These analytical results are compared with numerical results and found to be in good agreement.
Investigation on Growth, Structural, Spectral, Optical, and Mechanical Properties of an Organic Nonlinear Optical Material: Morpholinium Hydrogen Tartrate

Abstract: Organic nonlinear optical crystal morpholinium hydrogen tartrate (MHT), with molecular formula [C8H15NO7], has been grown by slow evaporation solution technique. Single crystal X-ray diffraction study confirms that MHT crystallizes in orthorhombic system with noncentrosymmetric space group P212121. FTIR spectrum was recorded to identify the various functional groups of MHT. The various kinds of protons and carbons of MHT have been identified using 1H and 13C NMR spectral analyses. The range of optical absorption was ascertained by recording UV-Vis-NIR spectral studies. The TG/DTA studies revealed that the grown crystal is thermally stable up to 159.26°C. The mechanical property of the grown crystal was studied using Vickers microhardness studies. The relative second harmonic generation efficiency of MHT was determined using Kurtz and Perry powder technique; it was observed to be greater than that of KDP crystal. 1. Introduction In recent years, organic nonlinear optical crystals have been greatly investigated due to their high nonlinearities and rapid response in electrooptic effect compared to inorganic materials. The organic nonlinear optical crystals provide the key functions of frequency conversion, optical switching, telecommunication, colour display, and second harmonic generation. Within the last few years, much progress has been made in the development of nonlinear optical organic materials for second harmonic generation. However, most of the organic NLO crystals are constituted by weak van der Waals and hydrogen bonds with conjugated π electrons [1]. Morpholine is a strong alkali, which can be considered as a kind of secondary aliphatic amine. However, the incorporation of nitrogen into the six-member ring exposes the lone electron pair on nitrogen and makes the molecule as a good nucleophile. Morpholine and its derivatives are known to form a series of molecular complexes such as morpholine [2], hydrohalides [3], phenols [4], and phosphoric acid [5]. Recently, the structure and various characterizations of nonlinear optical crystal of morpholinium 4-aminobenzoate have been reported [6]. The crystal structure of morpholinium hydrogen tartrate was reported by Liu [7], but there are no reports available on the growth and other characterizations of morpholinium hydrogen tartrate. The crystal complex was formed by the transformation of one proton of the L-tartaric acid to the nitrogen atom of morpholine. Evaluation of Level Set Segmentation for Medical Images with Intensity Inhomogeinity

Abstract: Image segmentation is an important area in the medical image guide surgery. Major advances in the field of medical imaging provide richer information in clinical applications and support the advancement in the biomedical knowledge. With the growing research on image segmentation, it has become crucial challenge for the images with inhomogeneity in intensity. Level set is the most powerful and broadly used segmentation technique in the medical image processing. This study aims at making a review on the current level set methods such as Region Scalable Fitting (RSF), Statistical and Variational Multiphase Level Set (SVMLS) and Local Clustering based Variational Level Set (LCVLS) developed for intensity inhomogeneous medical image segmentation. Experiments that apply these algorithms to segment the medical images are presented to highlight the distinct characteristics of each method. Results prove that the LCVLS method is most suitable and accurate for intensity inhomogeneous medical image segmentation.
Variational Level Set Segmentation and Bias Correction of Fused Medical Images

Abstract: Medical image fusion and segmentation has high impact on the digital image processing due to its spatial resolution enhancement and image sharpening. It has been used to derive useful information from the medical image data that provides the most accurate and robust method for diagnosis. This process is a compelling challenge due to the presence of inhomogeneities in the intensity of images. For addressing this challenge, the region based level set method is used for segmenting the fused medical images with intensity inhomogeneity. First, the IHS-PCA based fusion method is employed to fuse the images with intensity inhomogeneity which is then filtered using the homomorphic filter. Then based on the model of the fused image and the derived local intensity clustering property, the level set energy function is defined. This function is minimized to simultaneously partition the image domain and to estimate the bias field for the intensity inhomogeneity correction. The outstanding performance of this approach is illustrated using images of various modalities. Experimental results highlight the effectiveness and advantage of this approach with the help of various metrics and the results are found to be good and accurate.
TMV ( Sv) 7 – A high yielding cosmopolitan sesame variety

Abstract: The sesame culture TVS 0039 is a hybrid derivative of Si 250 x ES 22. It is an high yielding sesame variety with brown colour seed. It matures in85- 90 days. TVS 0039 has recorded a mean yield of 737 kg/ha which is 12.8, 26.9 and 14.0 % superior to TMV 3, VRI (Sv) 1 and VRI(Sv 2),respectively under rainfed condition. During summer season, the culture registered an average yield of 781 kg/ha which is 25.6, 20.5, 34.3 and27.8 % increase over VRI (Sv) 1, VRI (Sv 2), TMV 4 and TMV 6 respectively. The seeds are brown coloured with an oil content of 51.0 percent. The culture is also tolerant to root rot disease.
