Abstract: the paper-press functions as a machine that furiously emits signs, that imposes seeing and talking within a dominant syntax, forcing one to think of the game of representations and to rediscover what was always already there. it violently expose a time of death marked by the centrality of the subject in thought. in this article i propose to explore the concepts of sign, event and fabulation by gilles deleuze to seek the shifts in the thinking of the paper-press. when unfolding such signs - speed, present time, objectivity and truthfulness - a distinct violence emerges through the event's surfaces, affirmative, an emptying out of the already given significations of these signs that allows for an anything-becoming of the paper; possibilities that the paper-research can find life forces by means of fabulation.

Evolution in Multi-Species High Forest Stands in Serra da Lous?: Diversity Analysis
Gon?alves,Ana Cristina; Oliveira,?ngelo Carvalho; Dias,Susana Saraiva;
Silva Lusitana , 2010,
Abstract: diversity analysis has an increasing importance in the analysis of forest stands, especially in multi-species ones, as a tool to evaluate stand structure and bring to light the differences in stand development through species interactions. the diversity analysis provides more detail to the traditional stand structure descriptions and enables the approach to stand management more consistent not only with the timber production, but also with other productions and values of the multi-benefit forest stands, and/or transformation processes. in literature many diversity measures can be found. the most commonly used are the diversity indices as they allow the quantification of the diversity features. in this study eight diversity indices were used to characterize the horizontal, vertical and spatial distribution of the individuals in multi-species stands, using a series of permanent plots, located in serra da lous?, central portugal. diversity dynamics were evaluated with two successive measurements, in 2001 and 2009. the results revealed a tendency towards more diversity with the reduction of the number of maritime pine individuals and the development of other species, mainly sweet chestnut and english oak.

Revista Direito GV , 2012,
The aim of this article is to do a comparative analysis relative to the investigation of biological paternity of children born out of wedlock in Brazil and european countries, based on the research of legislative documents through the internet and the consultation of legal bibliography in the area of family law. The legislative typology was made - absolute biological truth and relative biological truth according to the following variables: forms of paternal attribution (voluntary/court ordered), type of demanded consent for the performance of the genetic test (voluntary/forced), author of the investigation (state/other) and the time limit of the investigation (existence of process deadlines/no process deadlines). The absolute biological truth occurs when the investigation of paternity is compulsory and the court might order and force the submission to a genetic test. The dominating trend is relative biological truth. In all analysed countries it has been verified that the resource to genetic testing is preponderant when establishing affiliation relations. Even in countries where it's not possible to force an individual to the submission of a genetic exam, there are more subtle ways of submission, that include the application of fines o
Streptococcus agalactiae em gestantes: prevalência de coloniza??o e avalia??o da suscetibilidade aos antimicrobianos
Borger, Irina Lermontov;d'Oliveira, Rachel Elise Cerqueira;Castro, Angela Christina Dias de;Mondino, Silvia Susana Bona de;
Revista Brasileira de Ginecologia e Obstetrícia , 2005, DOI: 10.1590/S0100-72032005001000002
Abstract: purpose: to verify the occurrence of colonization by streptococcus agalactiae in pregnant women attended at the prenatal outpatient clinic of the teaching maternity hospital of rio de janeiro university (ufrj) and to evaluate the susceptibility of the isolates to antimicrobial agents. methods: a total of 167 pregnant women between the 32nd and 41st week of gestation, regardless of risk factors, attended at the antenatal clinic between february 2003 and february 2004, were evaluated. the vaginal/anal material, collected by the same swab, was inoculated in todd-hewitt broth to which nalidixic acid (15 μg/ml) and gentamicin (8 μg/ml) were added, with following subcultures onto sheep blood-agar. identification was carried out observing colony morphology and beta-hemolysis type on blood-agar, catalase, camp, and serological tests. the antimicrobial susceptibility testing used agar diffusion and agar dilution methods. statistical analysis was performed by the c2 test with the level of significance set at p<0,05. results: the frequency of colonization was 19.2%, with no significant differences when age, number of gestations, number of abortions and the presence or absence of diabetes mellitus were compared (p>0.05). all 32 isolated strains were susceptible to penicillin, cefotaxime, ofloxacin, chloramphenicol, vancomycin and meropenem. resistance to erythromycin and clindamycin was detected in 9.4 and 6.2% of the isolates, respectively. conclusions: the relatively high incidence (19.2%) of colonization by s. agalactiae among the evaluated pregnant women and the recovery of antimicrobial resistant strains, especially those recommended in cases of penicillin allergy, emphasize the importance, for a correct prevention of neonatal infections, of detecting colonization at the end of pregnancy and evaluating antimicrobial susceptibility.
