Abstract: River-mouth bar is a fundamental element to constitute a delta system, and its internal facies architectures are vital to reconstruct delta evolution history and study high-resolution sequence stratigraphy. Changxing Island is a representative mouth-bar complex in the modern Changjiang Delta. Its vertical stacked strata produced by delta progradation were first studied by detailed facies analysis of core CX03, and then a general facies architecture and evolution history of mouth-bar complexes in the modern Changjiang Delta were discussed through a comparative study of 5 different cores and historical charts. A progradational deltaic sequence has generally a similar internal facies architecture, composed of massive muddy deposits of prodelta and delta-front slope facies at the bottom, sand-dominated deposits of delta-front platform, inter-bar channel and mouth-bar facies at the middle, and heterolithic deposits of tidal flat and saltmarsh facies at the top. There is a significant time lag for the initial formation of channel-mouth bar systems between Chongming and Jiuduansha Islands. Compared with subtidal flats, sedimentation rates on intertidal flats were highly accelerated, potentially resulting from weakening wave and tidal strength over extensive intertidal flats and increasing human embankment activities in the last few centuries. Abstract:
In this paper, an approach is presented to calculate the reserve capacity of Pump- Hydro Combined Energy Storage (PHCES) integrated with wind generation. The proposed approach utilizes Monte Carlo methods to obtain all the reasonable capacity of PHCES based on the power system reliability requirement. The pumping and hydro period of PHCES will be taken into consideration to estimate the reliability of wind power generation with PHCES. Finally this approach is applied in a RBTS system to calculate the minimum capacity of PHCES.

Abstract: Using Embedded-atom-method (EAM) potential, we have performed in detail molecular dynamics studies on a Fe adatom adsorption and diffusion dynamics on three low miller index surfaces, Fe (110), Fe (001), and Fe (111). Our results present that adatom adsorption energies and diffusion barriers on these surfaces have similar monotonic trend: adsorption energies, Ea(110) < Ea(001) < Ea(111), diffusion barriers, Ed(110) <Ed(001) <Ed(111). On the Fe (110) surface, adatom simple jump is the main diffusion mechanism with relatively low energy barrier; nevertheless, adatoms exchange with surface atoms play a dominant role in surface diffusion on the Fe (001).

Abstract: In this paper, we derive a joint central limit theorem for random vector whose components are function of random sesquilinear forms. This result is a natural extension of the existing central limit theory on random quadratic forms. We also provide applications in random matrix theory related to large-dimensional spiked population models. For the first application, we find the joint distribution of grouped extreme sample eigenvalues correspond to the spikes. And for the second application, under the assumption that the population covariance matrix is diagonal with $k$ (fixed) simple spikes, we derive the asymptotic joint distribution of the extreme sample eigenvalue and its corresponding sample eigenvector projection.

Abstract: The neoclassical theory of investment has been developed to explain, in a perfect market, the investment decision of a company depends on the net present value of a project, and its expenditure is determined only by the set of investment opportunities, and independent of other factors. However, in reality, other factors influence investment mostly. For the full sample of China listed companies, capital allocation is consistent with operating performance. Controlling property rights of the enterprises, we show that various kinds of investments in state-owned listed companies are inconsistent with operating performance, but non-state-owned listed companies reflect effective investment. In the long run, deepening classified reform of state-owned enterprises is extremely demanded.

Abstract: We consider a ill-posed problem-fractional numerical differentiation with a new method. We propose Fourier truncation method to compute fractional numerical derivatives. A Holder-type stability estimate is obtained. A numerical implementation is described. Numerical examples show that the proposed method is effective and stable.

Abstract: This study aimed to explore work values in Mainland China. A total of 1,155 Chinese employees participated in this study by filling out questionnaires. Data was analysed using factor analysis, analysis of variance, and regression. Results showed that Chinese employee emphasized social harmony and self-realization the most, followed by prosperous development and material conditions. There were substantial relationships between work values and gender, age, hierarchical levels, and organizational performance. However, tenure and organizational size had no significant effect on work values.

Abstract: Non-standard backward heat conduction problem is ill-posed in the sense that the solution(if it exists) does not depend continuously on the data. In this paper, we propose a regularization strategy-quasi-reversibility method to analysis the stability of the problem. Meanwhile, we investigate the roles of regularization parameter in this method. Numerical result show that our algorithm is effective and stable.

Abstract: With the aid of a direct projective approach, a general transformation solution for the nonautonomous nonlinear Schr?dinger (NLS) system is derived. Based on certain known exact solutions of the projective equation, some periodic and localized excitations with novel properties are correspondingly revealed by entrancing appropriate system parameters. The integrable constraint conditions for the nonautonomous NLS system derived naturally here are consistent with the compatibility condition via the Painlevé analysis in other literature.
