Abstract: The Julian and Tuvalian lithologic column in the Oslica area starts with dolomitic breccias with limonitic groundmass and with a bauxite giving evidence of areal expose on the boundary between Cordevolian and Julian. Afterwards, precepitation of carbonate rocks followed. In the lithological interval where the limestone breccias predominate, oncolitic horizons are most characteristic. The Carnian sedimentary succession in the Oslica is terminated by a dolomite with intercalations of marls, bedded micritic limestones and a darkgrey dolomite with a roundish disintegration. The lithological composition and sedimentological characteristics of the succession indicate an origin in the littoral environment.

Abstract: The article deals with the results of palynological and stratigraphical research of lacustrine, marsh and fluvial Quaternary deposits in the Ra ica dolina and Mi ja dolina, and on Radensko polje. Correlation with equivalent Quaternary deposits and their palynoflora from the Grosuplje polje area was also performed. In the study area, Mesozoic, predominantly carbonate rocks are transgressively covered by Quaternary deposits which are in general composed of five lithostratigraphic units (from bottom to top): 1. gravel, 2. grey lacustrine clay, 3. reddish brown loam, 4. light grey marly clay and 5. alluvial marsh deposits. On the basis of pollen analysis the Quaternary sediments of the study area are chronostratigraphically classified to the Late or Middle Pleistocene and Holocene.

Abstract: A lithostratigraphic subdivision of the Julian and Tuvalian beds in the To ko elo andVintarjevski potok area has been performed in this paper. The sedimentary sequence in the To ko elo area is subdivided into seven lithostratigraphic units, namely: bedded limestone, limestone and dolomite, oncolite, lower dolomite, platy limestone with chert,upper dolomite, and platy nodular limestone. Beds in the Vintarjevski potok area are subdivided into eight litostratigraphic units: basal breccia and conglomerate, lower limestone,lower dolomite, middle limestone, upper dolomite, upper limestone, red marl and topmost limestone.
Late Malm carbonate breccias at Korinj and their significance for eustacy and tectonics (Central Slovenia)

Abstract: On the Dinaric carbonate platform along the margin of the Upper Malmian shelf carbonate breccias were formed. The most typical, various and extended breccias outcrop at Korinj in the Suha Krajina area. The breccias are composed of various, more or less angular limestone and dolomite fragments, and of calcitic and dolomitic cement. The study shows that breccias from different stratigraphiclevels were formed in different ways and environments.Generally, the sedimentary succession consists of limestones, dolomites and carbonate breccias. The sedimentary structures of the succession indicate high energy shallow-water environment. Determined microfauna and flora of the successionprove the Upper Malmian age of the studied sediments.The shallow-water deposition, the breccias, and the subaerial exposures,evidenced by bauxite at some places in the Suha Krajina area, are considered to be connected with eustatic sea-level variations as well as synsedimentary fracturing and block-faulting.
