Acta Paulista de Enfermagem , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-21002006000200010
Abstract: objective: this study aimed to identify stress-producing factors of hospitalized patients hospitalized in a coronary care unit. methods: data were collected through face-to-face interviews with 43 patients. the stressors were assessed with a four-point likert scale, which evaluated stress intensity for 42 possible stressors, ranging from 1 (not stressful) to 4 (very stressful). results: in general, the average score for the items was 1.71, characterizing them between not stressful and little stressful according to the patients' perception. the most stressful factors were: feeling pain, not being able to sleep, missing one's husband/wife, seeing one's family just a few minutes and not being able to move one's arms. conclusion: these results can help in the planning of nursing care.

Torrati, Fernanda Gaspar;Dantas, Rosana Ap. Spadoti;
Acta Paulista de Enfermagem , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-21002012000300004
Abstract: objective: to compare the frequency of complications presented by patients during the immediate postoperative period (ipp) for cardiac surgery, based on the time of extracorporeal circulation (ecc). methods: a quantitative, descriptive and correlational study with 83 adult patients, divided into two groups according to the time of ecc. results: of the total patients, 44 (53%) had an ecc duration of up to 85 minutes, and 39 (47%) had a time of over 85 minutes. complications were common in both groups, with the most frequent being pain and oliguria. however, hemothorax, pneumothorax, and acute myocardial infarction occurred only in the group with the longer duration of ecc. conclusion: the majority of ipp complications presented in similar frequency for patients, independent of ecc time.

Abstract: nowadays the mozzarella cheese is the most produced in brazil. however, due to the problem of the seasonal production of milk, in a certain period of the year, there is a shortage of the milk offer and than the cheese price rises. for this reason, the usage of reconstituted dry milk blended with fresh milk could be an alternative for the stabilization of the offer of the product in the market. in this experiment, mozzarella cheeses were produced with fresh milk and with fresh milk added of 10% and 20% of reconstituted dry milk (obtained from medium-heat dry milk). the physico-chemical and slicing properties of the cheeses made with fresh milk and with fresh milk added of reconstituted milk (10% and 20%) were compared. the statistical analysis of data permited withdraw the following conclusions: the mozzarella cheese may be produced by adding 10% of reconstituted milk to the fresh milk without affecting its physico-chemical characteristics nor the property of slicing; on the other hand, that one produced by addition of 20% of reconstituted milk to the fresh milk showed a poor property of slicing.

Abstract: patients may present problems after coronary artery bypass surgery and nurses play an important role in the detection of such problems. with the purpose to determine the problems of 25 patients during the first month after hospital discharge, they were followed up via telephone as well as when they returned to hospital. content analyses of detailed nurses' recording revealed eight categories of problems. the most frequently related problems were related to the surgical incision site (76%), pharmacological therapy (28%), other pathologies (24%), mood alterations (20%) and sleep pattern disturbances (16%). the strategy chosen showed to be efficient to analyze the recovery of these patients during the first month after hospital discharge.

Marosti, Carina Aparecida;Dantas, Rosana Aparecida Spadoti;
Revista Latino-Americana de Enfermagem , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0104-11692006000500012
Abstract: this descriptive study aimed to correlate the stressors of patients hospitalized at a coronary care unit and their sociodemographic and clinical characteristics. we interviewed 43 patients who were hospitalized at a large hospital. the stressors were evaluated by means of a 4-point likert scale, which measured stress intensity for 42 possible stressors, ranging from 1 (not stressful) to 4 (very stressful). we collected data on sociodemographic and clinical characteristics and about the coronary unit. data were analyzed through non parametrical statistics, using mann-whitney, kruskal-wallis and spearman's correlation test. a 0.05 significance level was adopted. greater stress was found among younger female patients who did not receive psychotherapeutic medication, including the presence of more than two pieces of equipment and no earlier hospitalization at this kind of intensive therapy unit.

Abstract: Atualmente, o queijo Mussarela é o queijo de maior produ o nacional.

Abstract: the effects of five different processing methods for prato cheese were sensorially evaluated the following treatments (t) for cheese production were studied: t1 - (standard) without milk concentrated by ultrafiltration (lcuf); t2 - using lcuf without pre-fermentation; t3 - using lcuf and pre-fermentation of 10% of it; t4 - using lcuf and pre-fermentation of 20% of it and t5 - using lcuf, pre-fermentation of 20% of it plus indirect heating (the only one). according to the quantitative descriptive analysis test, the treatments presented significant differences among them with respect to appearance, flavor and texture. cheeses t3, t4 and t5 presented a strongly marked yellow color, larger appearance uniformity and were considered harder. the cheese t1 was considered the most acidic and salty. the cheeses t4 and t5 presented lower melting. the cheeses presented the following order on the acceptance test t3=t4=t5>t1>t2.

Abstract: the objective of this study was to characterize and compare patients regarding their report of experiencing chest pain, dyspnea and limitation of the daily life activities one week before their first hospitalization due to acute coronary syndrome, according to the clinical presentation form, and compare them. this is a cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational study. a clinical evaluation instrument was used to investigate the presence and severity of dyspnea, chest pain and physical restriction due to myocardial ischemia. regarding the limitation to carry out physical activities, patients diagnosed with unstable angina showed lower capacity the week before hospitalization, and reported experiencing dyspnea and chest pain more frequently than patients who had an infarction in situations ranging from making strong efforts, such as walking uphill or on a flat surface but very quickly, to resting and in situations of little effort.
