THE INSTITUTION OF BANAT IN THE BANAT OF LUGOJ AND CARANSEBES IN THE XVIth-XVIIth CENTURIES
Sorin BULBOAC
Societate ?i Politic? , 2011,
Abstract: In this article, we try to investigate and explain theconnection between the Banat og Lugoj-Caransebes and the central institutionin Transylvania, during the XVIth and XVIIth centuries. In the Principality ofTransylvania, the banat of Lugoj and Caransebes was a member of the councilof the prince, as second to the grand captain of Oradea. The most importantprerogatives of the bans of Lugoj and Cransebes are the military ones, as theyalso had other important military posistions in the Principality. They haddiplomatic atributions as messengers and negotiators in the relations with theOttoman Empire or in the relations with Walachia and Moldavia. They were thepresidents of the nobility’s assenblies from the Banat of Lugoj and Cransebes orof two districts. The documents mention the chair of judgement” of the ban, which had competency regarding property, succession, confiscation or distraintof estates for political reasons, in case of betrayal. They have also participatedto the religious affairs, encouraging Calvinsm and the translation of somereligious books into Romanian.

Mathematics , 2013,
Abstract: In the present paper we introduce and studied two subclasses of multivalent functions denoted by $\mathcal{M}^{\lambda}_{p,n}(\gamma;\beta)$ and $\mathcal{N}^{\lambda}_{p,n}(\mu,\eta;\delta)$. Further, by giving specific values of the parameters of our main results, we will find some connection between these two classes, and moreover, several consequences of main results are also discussed.
Consentimento informado e competência em pediatria: opini?es de uma amostra de médicos romenos em treinamento
Hostiuc, Sorin;
Jornal de Pediatria , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S0021-75572012000600012
Abstract: objectives: to assess the views of physicians in training regarding the informed consent as autonomous authorization in pediatrics and to discuss the limiting effects of the competence norm in this field. methods: we conducted a multi-institutional survey with 158 medical residents in order to assess the views of physicians in training regarding the informed consent as autonomous authorization in pediatrics. the study was conducted with volunteer participants, from a limited geographical area (bucharest and surrounding areas). results: most respondents strongly agreed that a patient aged 16-18 years should make informed medical decisions regarding any type of procedures (including reproductive choices), whilst those aged 14-16 should be allowed to take informed medical decisions regarding minor procedures only. most participants agreed that transplant procedures involving bone marrow should be allowed between siblings if they approve, whilst most disagreed allowing solid organ transplantation. the involvement of children in clinical studies should only be allowed if the children agree. conclusions: the responses obtained in our study regarding the informed consent put it closer to the autonomic authorization sense than the effective authorization sense. therefore, respondents' moral intuition is more bioethical and less legal, which, even if maximizing the patient's benefit, is associated with an increased liability risk. however, since the newer generations become more and more precocious, a reanalysis of the classical competence dogmas should be conducted.
THE MORPHO-STRUCTURE OF ARAD CITY AND CURRENT PROBLEMS OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT
SORIN PAVEL
LOGISTIC SUPPORT PLANNING GUIDANCE FOR THE NATIONAL MILITARY CONTINGENTS PARTICIPATING IN MULTINATIONAL PEACE SUPPORT OPERATIONS
Sorin PINZARIU
Journal of Defense Resources Management , 2012,
Abstract: A judicious planning of the logistic support provided for the national military contingents earmarked to participate in multinational peace support operations must take into consideration the number of contingents to be deployed, their area of responsibility, their mission length, the facilities provided in the theater of operation and their providers. Moreover, such planning involves a thorough knowledge and application of STANAGs. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to focus on some of the fundamental aspects included in the logistic support planning guidance for the national military contingents participating in multinational peace support operations.
Investigation of chaotic behavior in Euro-Leu exchange rate
Sorin Vlad
Journal of Applied Computer Science & Mathematics , 2010,
Abstract: Nonlinear time series analysis developed a set of testaiming to discover a possible occurrence of chaos in time seriesunder study. The main benefit of detecting chaos is that the timeseries is short term predictable. The prediction accuracydecreases in time. A strong evidence of chaotic dynamics is theexistence of a positive Lyapunov exponent (i.e. sensitivity toinitial conditions). Usually this is not the ultimate test that has tobe performed in order to decide that the evolution in time of thetime series is chaotic. Chaotic dynamics is associated with achaotic attractor. In order to reveal the structure of theattractor, the Takens reconstruction theorem has to be applied. The paper aims at presenting a methodology to be followed todetect (or not) chaos presence in the Euro-Leu exchange ratetime series.
Predicting Chaos
Sorin VLAD
Journal of Applied Computer Science & Mathematics , 2012,
Abstract: The main advantage of detecting chaos is that the time series is short term predictable. The prediction accuracy decreases in time. A strong evidence of chaotic dynamics is the existence of a positive Lyapunov exponent (i.e. sensitivity to initial conditions). In chaotic time series prediction theory the methods used can be placed in two classes: global and local methods. Neural networks are global methods of prediction. The paper tries to find a relation between the two parameters used in reconstruction of the state space (embedding dimension m and delay time τ) and the number of input neurons of a multilayer perceptron (MLP). For two of three time series studied, the minimum absolute error value is minimum for a MLP with the number of inputs equal to m*τ.
THE WOLF POPULATIONS (CANIS LUPUS L., MAMMALIA, CARNIVORA) IN ROMANIA AND THE HUMAN IMPACT OVER THE LAST TWO CENTURIES
SORIN GEACU
THE OBLIGATIONS OF COMMERCIAL PROFESSIONALS
Sorin Fildan
Studia Universitatis Vasile Goldis Arad, Seria Stiinte Economice , 2012,
Abstract: Commercial professionals have some obligations under the law, aimed both at defending public interests and the interests of third parties who enter into contracts with traders and commercial credit, and at defending the interests of professionals themselves, by creating an appropriate legal framework for the activities they perform. The main obligations of traders are the following: fulfilling Trade Register advertising formalities; exercising trade within the limits of legitimate competition; and the organization and bookkeeping of commercial companies. This paper aims at elaborating on the three listed obligations, mainly referring to commercial professionals, as they carry out professional activities that are centered on obtaining profit.
