Welfare Schemes In Ongc With Special Emphasis On The Medical Facilities
Smita Bahuguna
Golden Research Thoughts , 2012, DOI: 10.9780/22315063
Abstract: Welfare helps in keeping the morale and motivation of the employees high so as to retain the employees for longer duration. The welfare measures need not be in monetary terms only but in any kind/forms. Employee welfare includes monitoring of working conditions, creation of industrial harmony through infrastructure for health, industrial relations and insurance against disease, accident and unemployment for the workers and their families. ONGC has been providing various facilities alongwith the best rated medical facilities to its employees:
Indian Streams Research Journal , 2012,
Abstract: The present paper has tried to present the major issues & Strategic role of HR in M&A. An attempt is also made to draw a few suggestions to overcome the same. It has further examined the assessment of employees' sentiments towards the merger or acquisition is central to tailoring communications and change-management initiatives to foster unity, teamwork and collegiality. Lapses in productivity are common in this early stage of integration. In a 2,000-employee organization, where one half of the workforce is spending an hour each day discussing the uncertainties of the merger, a newly merged company can lose 1,000 hours per day in productivity. Assuming an average wage of $50 per hour, this wasted time can deliver a weekly loss to the bottom line of $250,000 per week! HR's efforts can make a critical cost-saving contribution. Few studies have been revealing that the overall M&A with Asian participation have greatly gained in significance over the past couple of years. During 1995 - 2008 in total 100,000 deals, almost the value of 3,941 billion USD has been announced. In 2008, 11,518 Asian transactions were announced. This is a slight decrease of 1.5% compared to 2007, but still another year of high activity in terms of numbers. This rather small decrease is even more astonishing given that worldwide the number of deals decreased much more, by 10%. The total value of Asian deals in 2008 declined 37% to 519 billion USD. The number and value of cross-border M&A transactions have increased to levels never seen before. While in 1995 there were about 1,300 cross border deals announced, in 2008 it was 3,600 (an increase of 280%). Over the same time period, the value of such deals has disproportionately increased from 46 to 238 billion USD (+517%)
Integrodifferential equations with analytic semigroups
D. Bahuguna
International Journal of Stochastic Analysis , 2003, DOI: 10.1155/s1048953303000133
Abstract: In this paper we study a class of integrodifferential equations considered in an arbitrary Banach space. Using the theory of analytic semigroups we establish the existence, uniqueness, regularity and continuation of solutions to these integrodifferential equations.
Existence, uniqueness, and regularity of solutions to semilinear retarded differential equations
D. Bahuguna
International Journal of Stochastic Analysis , 2004, DOI: 10.1155/s1048953304310026
Abstract: In the present work, we consider a semilinear retarded differential equation in a Banach space. We first establish the existence and uniqueness of a mild solution and then prove its regularity under different additional conditions. Finally, we consider some applications of the abstract results.
Female bonding in Shashi Deshpande's novel “The Binding Vine”
Divyarajan Bahuguna
Review of Research , 2012,
Abstract: Binding Vine is a special novel for it presents primarily the women's world. The men come into picture only when they try to make women realised that they (men) are superior. Women are fighting against injustices, inflicted upon them by domineering patriarchal system. They are aware of their limitations, and do have some misunderstanding about other women, especially the mothers about their daughters. The title is significant because mother and child are bound by 'The Binding Vine' of love, for it grows in all directions and has intricate network. In this novel, the stories of Mira, Akka, Vanna, Inni, Shakutai, Sulumavashi and Kalpana touch Urmi deeply and disturb her mindset by which she becomes able to analyse life around and it helps her to overcome her own sense of loss and despair. It helps her to come out of all shades of misunderstandings.
Strongly damped semilinear equations
D. Bahuguna
International Journal of Stochastic Analysis , 1995, DOI: 10.1155/s1048953395000360
Abstract: A class of strongly damped semilinear equations is studied by using the theory of analytic semigroups. Conditions (on the nonlinear forcing term) are given under which the existence and uniqueness of local and global classical solutions are ensured.
Micro needling - Facts and Fictions
Amit Bahuguna
Asian Journal of Medical Sciences , 2013, DOI: 10.3126/ajms.v4i3.5392
Abstract: On 24th June 2013, the author's name was changed from Bahuga to Bahuguna. Two sentences were added to the section 'Tall Claims' on p.3. The corrected PDF is available by clicking on the link below. Micro needling or what is more commonly known as the derma-rolling is a new minimally-invasive avatar of an age old procedure. Micro needling has recently attained popularity as it is cheap, effective and can be used safely with minimal training. The basic principle is to create a controlled injury, thereby inducing the body to respond by producing more collagen in the treated area. Microneedling can be combined with other acne scar treatments for better results. Although it may not do justice to all the indications claimed by a plethora of manufacturers, if used judiciously it can prove to be a wonderful addition to the armamentarium of a dermatologist. Solid state fermentation of pomegranate seed for lovastatin production: a bioprocessing approach  [PDF]
Azza Naik, Smita Lele
Advances in Bioscience and Biotechnology (ABB) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/abb.2012.35083
Abstract: This study reports lovastatin production by solid state fermentation using pomegranate seeds as a substrate. Six different fungal strains and several agro-industrial wastes were selected and screened. Various physico-chemical parameters were optimized to improve lovastatin. Moreover, chemical mutation was systematically employed to enhance lovastatin yield on selected strains. Productivity of 3 ± 0.06 mg lovastatin/gm dfm was obtained prior to optimization. One factor a time followed by Response Surface Methodology (RSM) gave 4.2 ± 0.10 mg lovastatin/gm dfm yield in an optimized setup with pomegranate seed powder (5 gms), KH2PO4 (0.1% w/v), glucose (5% w/v), moisture (60% w/w), pH 5 in a 15 days fermentation cycle. The production was further increased to 6.5 ± 0.08 mg lovastatin/gm dfm through chemical mutation of the strain. This process is simple and reproducible for the production of lovastatin using pomegranate seed as an agro-industrial waste.
Ab-Initio Structural Study of SrMoO3 Perovskite  [PDF]
Avinash Daga, Smita Sharma
Journal of Modern Physics (JMP) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/jmp.2012.312238
Abstract: The equilibrium crystal structure parameter and bulk modulus of the SrMoO3 perovskite has been calculated with ab-initio method based on density functional theory (DFT) using both local density approximation (LDA) and generalized gradient approximation (GGA). The corresponding total free energy along with its various components for SrMoO3 was obtained. The lattice parameter and bulk modulus calculated for SrMoO3 within LDA are 3.99 A and 143.025 GPa respectively whereas within GGA are 4.04 A and 146.14 GPa respectively, both agree well with the available experimental data. The total energy calculated within LDA and GGA is almost the same however lower results are obtained for GGA. All calculations have been carried out using ABINIT computer code.
Posterior Polar Cataract and Its Management  [PDF]
Smita Anand, Nimmi Rani
Surgical Science (SS) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/ss.2015.67046
Abstract: Although cataract surgery in posterior polar cataract is associated with posterior capsular rent and nucleus drop, by taking precautions the rate of complication can be decreased. The aim of this article is to review the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical features, and management of posterior polar cataract.
