Research in the Method of Population Estimation in Urban District Based on EO data

Abstract: In this paper,a method to estimate the population in urban districts by using EO (Earth Observation) data has been studied and discussed.Firstly,in this investigation residential districts have been classified into three kinds,which are high-dense,middle-dense and low-dense,and the area of each kind has been calculated by interpreting IKONOS.Then,the correlation between the population and the residential area has been studied by using the linear analysis,and an equation showing the correlation between the population and the residential area has been determined.Finally,the equation between the population and the residential area has been tested.Results show that it is a reasonable and adoptable way to estimate the population by using EO data in some urgent situations in urban districts.

The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 2.81 (9)°. There is an intramolecular O—H...N hydrogen bond and intermolecular C—H...O and C—H...N hydrogen bonds.
利用基于表温因子的栖息地模型预测西北太平洋柔鱼(Ommastrephes bartramii)渔场

Abstract: 根据1999—2004年8—10月主渔汛期间我国鱿钓船在150—165°E海域的鱿钓生产数据,结合其表温及表温梯度,分别将作业次数百分比和单位渔船日产量作为适应性指数,利用算术平均法(AM)和联乘法(GM)分别建立基于表温因子(表温和表温水平梯度)的综合栖息地指数模型。结果表明,AM栖息地指数模型和GM栖息地指数模型均拟合较好,在HSI大于0.6的海域,1999—2004年间其作业次数平均比重分别在70%以上,平均日产量均在2t/d以上。但AM模型稍优于GM模型。利用2005年8—10月生产数据及表温资料对AM模型进行验证,分析认为作业渔场主要分布在HSI大于0.6海域,其作业次数比重达到80%以上,各月平均CPUE均在3.0t/d以上。研究表明,基于表温和表温水平梯度的AM栖息地模型能获得较好预测西北太平洋柔鱼中心渔场。
Reliable Maintanace of Wireless Sensor Networks for Event-detection Applications

Abstract: The reliability maintannace of the wireless sensor network is a key point to keep the alarm messages delivered reliably to the monitor center on time in a event detection application. Based on the unreliable links in the wireless sensor network and the network charateristics of an event detection application, MPRRM, a multiple path redundant reliability maintanace algoritm was proposed in this paper. Both analytical and simulation results show that the MPRRM algorithm is superior to the previous published solutions in the metrics of reliability, false positive rate, latency and message overhead.

Abstract: Through the medium of expound surface subsidence mechanism,analyses underground rock mass states of in-plane stress and underground opening spatial establishment.Introducing mathematical integration model to build up ground settlement theoretical model,emphases look into cell subsidence basin and characteristic point subsidence,deduce the prediction formulae of ground settlement.And utilize rational integral formula solution to solve the predicting value of ground settlements.Practice has proved that the calculation of this method is precise highly and widely used,and effectively set know clearly routine solution workload large,figure low shortcoming up at rest.So,it is a kind of effective,practical and numerical method,and can be used to calculate the predicting value of surface subsidence.

Abstract: Wenchuan Earthquake,8.0RichterMagnitude, is themostdestructive,mostwidely-spread and the one entails themostdifficulties in disaster-relief since the founding ofPeople sRepublic ofChina.Alongwith the earthquake,many secondary disasters, such asmountain collapses, landslides and debris flows and dammed lakes occurred and enlarged the disaster.After the earthquake,NationalDisasterReduction Committee(NDRC)andMinistry ofCivilAffairs(MCA) trig- gered the domestic and international satellite remote sensing data achievingmechanism mi mediately, including the Interna- tionalCHARTER Space andMajorDisasters.The achieved datawere used for the continuous disastermonitoring and ur- gentdisaster assessment, and provided effective information in disaster relie.f This paper establishes an urgentassessmentmethod for catastrophe, which is based on the interpretatingwith remote sensing data and the deducting by spatial analysis. Taking the urgent assessment using remote sensing data during the Wenchuan Earthquake as an example, this paper apply themethod into the assessment for the 152 counties ofSichuan, Shanxi andGansu provinces. The results show thatbuildings are destroyed seriously, and the affected population distribute in a verywide area. In genera,l the disaster loss isdistributed corresponding to the faultzone. The disaster loss inmoun- tain area is larger than that in plain area, and the damage in village area ismore serious than that in urban area. Wen- chuan, Beichuan, Qingchuan, andMianzhu and other 8 counties in Sichuan province are the most seriously damaged counties. Wen County in Gansu province andMian county in Shan xi province are serious damaged. By validation with field investigation, the efficiency of the assessmentwas approved. The paperdevelopes a step-by-step collectionmethod of assessment, which takes the advantage of the remote sensing data andmeets the efficiency need ofurgentdisaster assess- ment. Themethod is also useful for the coordinative operation and comprehensive assessment. Themethod is scientific, applicable, and feasible in disaster assessmentwith remote sensing data during catastrophe.
A Review of Models in Experimental Studies of Implicit Language Learning  [PDF]

The present review analyzes experimental research on implicit learning using linguistic stimuli, and proposes five key procedures of a framework for empirical studies of implicit learning. Our review begins with a brief overview of the current state of research on implicit learning, and then presents the procedures in detail: 1) choosing theoretical assumptions from psychology; 2) designing stimuli; 3) exposing subjects to information; 4) testing implicit learning; and 5) measuring subjects’ state of awareness. This framework is intended to assist researchers in designing experiments on implicit learning both more comprehensively and with fewer flaws.

Propagation of travelling waves in sub-excitable systems driven by noise and periodic forcing

Abstract: It has been reported that traveling waves propagate periodically and stably in sub-excitable systems driven by noise [Phys. Rev. Lett. \textbf{88}, 138301 (2002)]. As a further investigation, here we observe different types of traveling waves under different noises and periodic forces, using a simplified Oregonator model. Depending on different noises and periodic forces, we have observed different types of wave propagation (or their disappearance). Moreover, the reversal phenomena are observed in this system based on the numerical experiments in the one-dimensional space. As an explanation, we regard it as the effect of periodic forces. Thus, we give qualitative explanations to how reversal phenomena stably appear, which seem to arise from the mixing function of the periodic force and the noise. And the output period and three velocities (the normal, the positive and the negative) of the travelling waves are defined and their relationship with the periodic forces, along with the types of waves, are also studied in sub-excitable system under a fixed noise intensity.
