Quality Analysis on the Engineering Master of Biotechnology Specialty from Enterprise  [PDF]

Abstract: In order to express the engineering master’s culture status of biotechnology from some enterprises, by questionnaire, 27 engineering masters from some enterprises and 22 academic masters from two universities, were investigated on the graduate students’ origin, their tutors’ title, the enterprise size and classify, their dissertation theme emphasis and classify, and the experiment condition for their dissertations. The results indicated that, the engineering masters were better than the academic masters on the practice condition and the practice chances, whereas, the academic masters markedly excelled the engineering masters on the tutors’ level, the test condition, and the innovation environment of science and technology.
Efficient Scheme for Implementing Large Size Signed Multipliers Using Multigranular Embedded DSP Blocks in FPGAs

Abstract: Modern FPGAs contain embedded DSP blocks, which can be configured as multipliers with more than one possible size. FPGA-based designs using these multigranular embedded blocks become more challenging when high speed and reduced area utilization are required. This paper proposes an efficient design methodology for implementing large size signed multipliers using multigranular small embedded blocks. The proposed approach has been implemented and tested targeting Altera's Stratix II FPGAs with the aid of the Quartus II software tool. The implementations of the multipliers have been carried out for operands with sizes ranging from 40 to 256 bits. Experimental results demonstrated that our design approach has outperformed the standard scheme used by Quartus II tool in terms of speed and area. On average, the delay reduction is about 20.7% and the area saving, in terms of ALUTs, is about 67.6%.
Earnings management and the quality of the financial reporting

Abstract: During the last time in the development of the financial reporting and frauds there have emerged several problems related to the quality of several indicators on the financial statements and especially the quality of the earnings indicator. According to the literature on the financial reporting it results that companies have the possibility to smooth earnings or manage earnings as a tool to avoid reporting a loss. While the economic entities are using the national and international accounting standards, the working practice of accountants/auditors shows episodes of the management of the earnings. One of the conclusions of this paper is that there is not enough information among accounting professionals regarding the practices of the earnings management. One of the recommendations is to include issues of fair and ethical reporting in the modules of the faculty of economics especially on the master level.Based on the many studies of this issue in other countries, this paper will show if this phenomenon is known in Albania and furthermore how important it is for the quality of the financial reporting in Albania. In order to achieve this objective it has been done a review of related studies. Because of the new legislation on the financial reporting being implemented in our country the recommendations of this paper may be valuable to the enforcement of the accounting standards mechanisms.
2+2 Program for Teachers’ Performance Appraisal in China

Abstract: This study examined the impact of the 2+2 Alternative Teacher Performance Appraisal System that has been implemented in Shanxi province in China. A mixed research design was used to evaluate the program. Six high schools and a total of 78 teachers (13 teachers in each school) in Shanxi province were selected. Three of the schools participated in the 2+2 program while another three served as the comparison. The results showed that 2+2 program significantly improved teachers’ professional performance, enhanced teachers’ collaboration, and increased the feedback between the peers.
A Highly Sensitive and Selective Competition Assay for the Detection of Cysteine Using Mercury-Specific DNA, Hg2+ and Sybr Green I

Abstract: We here report a rapid, sensitive, selective and label-free fluorescence detection method for cysteine (Cys). The conformation of mercury-specific DNA (MSD) changes from a random coil form to a hairpin structure in the presence of Hg2+ due to the formation of a thymine-Hg2+-thymine (T-Hg2+-T) complex. Cys can selectively coordinate with Hg2+ and extract it from the thymine-Hg2+-thymine complex. The hairpin structure dehybridizes and the fluorescence intensity of Sybr Green I (SG) decreases upon addition of Cys because SG efficiently discriminates mercury-specific DNA and mercury-specific DNA/Hg2+ complex. The detection can be finished within 5 min with high sensitivity and selectivity. In addition, we can obtain variable dynamic ranges for Cys by changing the concentration of MSD/Hg2+.
Beam optimization of RFQ and SFRFQ combined accelerator at Peking University

Abstract: The Peking University Integral Split Ring Radio Frequency Quadrupole(ISR RFQ) accelerator was constructed in 1999 with a high duty factor 16.7% and repetition frequency 166Hz, and it was able to accelerate N+, O+,O-, C+ and He+ from 1.6kev/u to 65keV/u. It was later upgraded as an injector of the Separated Function RFQ (SFRFQ). The experiments indicated that the maximum accelerated O+ beam current could exceed 3.2mA with energy 1.03MeV and an energy spread (FWHM) 3.1%. Then the beam transports through a 1m-long magnetic triplet to the entrance of SFRFQ and is finally accelerated to 1.64MeV. The beam conditioning of RFQ were carefully optimized to satisfy the requirements of the SFRFQ. The combined accelerator eventually can deliver 0.53mA O+ beam with energy 1.65MeV, which has sufficiently demonstrated the feasibility of the SFRFQ structure.

Abstract: Based on the multi-sensor optimal information fusion criterion weighted by matrice s in the linear minimum variance sense,using whi te noise estimators,an optimal fusion distributed Ka lman smoother is given for discrete multi-channel AR MA (autoregressive moving average) signals.The smoothing error cross-covariance matrices between any two sen sors are given for measurement noises.Furthermore,th e fusion smoother gives higher precision than any local smoother does.

Abstract: We live in a world, which is becoming a Global Village in which information and communication attract people’s attention more than ever before. Our desire to communicate with strangers and our relationships with them depend on the degree to which we are effective in communicating with them. There are so many factors restricting or improving people’s communication. This essay gives an analysis based on one factor called stereotypes. In intercultural research, the influence of stereotypes on people’s behaviors in communication is a very important issue to take into account. This paper aims to illustrate stereotypes from the aspects of their social and psychological perspectives, great influence on people’s communication, the problems they may cause, and some solutions.
Three-way group decision making with linguistic evaluations

Abstract: Based on linguistic evaluations, a linguistic three-way decision method is proposed. First, the alternatives are rated in linguistic forms and divided into acceptance, rejection and uncertainty regions. Secondly, the linguistic three-way group decision steps are provided. Specifically, the experts determine the lower bound and upper bound of the uncertainty region, respectively. When the evaluation is superior to the upper bound, the corresponding alternative is put into the acceptance region directly. Similarly, when the evaluation is inferior to the lower bound, the corresponding alternative is put into the rejection region directly, and the remaining alternatives are put into the uncertain region. Moreover, the objects in the uncertainty region are especially discussed. The linguistic terms are transformed into fuzzy numbers and then aggregated. Finally, a recommendation example is provided to illustrate the practicality and validity of the proposed method.
