Application of Grammatical Parsing Technique in Chinese Input

Abstract: In Peking University Computer Research Institute(PUCRI) a method of inputting Chinese sentences based on words has been developed.To reduce the troubles in choosing one word out of the others characterized by the same feature,grammatical parsing technique is applied to the method and good results have been achieved.This article describes the outline of the method.the principle of applying grammatical formulas and the branch-cutting algorithm used to speed up the grammatical parsing.

Abstract: We consider a family of one frequency discrete analytic quasi-periodic Schr\"odinger operators which appear in [Bjer]. We show that this family provides an example of coexistence of absolutely continuous and point spectrum for some parameters as well as coexistence of absolutely continuous and singular continuous spectrum for some other parameters.
Atom-Economic Reaction: Preparation and Mechanism of Nano-SrB2O4 by Solid-State Reaction  [PDF]

Abstract: Nano-SrB2O4 powder was prepared by solid-state reaction at room temperature followed by a subsequent calcination process. The highly productive method which can be operated easily confirms to the Green-chemistry principles. The XRD patters demonstrate that the component of the as-obtained sample is SrB2O4 after calcination at 600℃. Differential thermal analysis and thermogravimetriy (DTA/TG) curves suggest the process of dehydration and crystal transition from Sr[B(OH)4]2 to SrB2O4·2H2O. SEM image of SrB2O4 shows that the particles are uniform and spherical with average size of 80 nm in diameter. Furthermore, the mechanism of reaction was discussed. The chemical reaction of the process is assumed to be acid-base neutralization reaction. The water generated from the acid-base neutralization reaction and the release of crystal water from Sr(OH)2·8H2O plays an essential role in the reaction system.
Recycling of Cobalt by Liquid Leaching from Waste 18650-Type Lithium-Ion Batteries  [PDF]

Abstract: In this work, we recover cobalt from waste 18650-type lithiumion batteries by acid leaching. The cathode material is completely dissolved, after leaching waste batteries by using 10 mol/L industrial sulfuric acid at 70℃ for 1 h. The rate of cobalt leaching is nearly 100%. Removal of sodium carbonate, iron, aluminum and other impurities from the leaching solution was well performed by adjusting the pH to 2-3 with stirring vigorously. Finally, under the conditions of 55℃-60℃ of 240 A/m2 current density, electrodeposition current efficiency was 90.01%, the quality of the electrical output achieved cobalt 1A standard electrolytic cobalt, cobalt until greater than 90% yield. The process is easy and suitable for large-scale lithiumion batteries used in the recovery of valuable metals.

Abstract: The gene delivery system is one of the three components of a gene medicine, which is the bottle neck of current gene therapy. Nonviral vectors offer advantages over the viral system of safety, ease of manufacturing, etc. As important nonviral vectors, polymer gene delivery systems have gained increasing attention and have begun to show increasing promising. In this review, the fundamental and recent progress of polymer-based gene delivery vectors is reviewed.

Abstract: On behalf of all the editors and editorial board mem-bers, I would like to announce that the inaugural issue of the Journal of Geriatric Cardiology (JGC) was pub-lished after over two years of preparation, and the JGC will be continuously published. The JGC was born in accordance with the tough challenge of higher prevalence of cardiac diseases and/or complicated with other organ dis-eases in the elderly accompanied by the rapid growing number of the aged. Basing on the current conditions, we provide this forum for exchanging opinions in geriatric medicine worldwide, especially when China has a much higher status in the world and geriatric cardiology in Chi-na is progressing at a fast rate.
Multifactor heart failure in the elderly: a proposal for cooperative research

Abstract: Chronic heart failure (CHF) is a clinical syndrome as a common pathway at the end stage of cardiac diseases of different etiologies, and it is currently the only cardiovas-cular disease with an increasing prevalence in the devel-oped countries. In the United States, the prevalence of CHF at age 50 years is 1.0%, whereas it reaches 7.5% at age 80 years. In the United Kingdom, the prevalence of CHF is 5.0% at age 60-70 years, and 10-20% at age 80 years. The situation is similar in Italy and Portugal. Despite being a developing country in Asia, China has experienced rapid progress in acquiring medical knowledge and advancing techniques in recent years. Due to the markedly declined mortality of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) as well as the aging of Chinese population, about four million Chi-nese have CHF with a prevalence of 0.9%, most of whom are 60 years of age and older.
Introduction to a new clinical entity: the multiple organ dysfunction syndrome in the elderly

Abstract: Multiple organ dysfunction syndrome in the elderly (MODSE) is an important syndrome in the critical care of elderly patients. MODSE is defined as simultaneous or sequential dysfunction or failure of two or more organs on the top of advanced age and chronic multiple organ dysfunction. MODSE is triggered by precipitating factors such as infection (usually pulmonary infection) trauma, surgery, etc. It occurs in two phases. In the early phase, dysfunction of multiple organs ( MODE) occurs, and in the later or severe phase, multiple organ failure (MOFE) occurs. MODSE is the most common cause of mortality in the critically ill elderly patient. It is important to understand its clinical characteristics and elucidate its pathogenesis in order to reduce mortality and improve Quality of life for these patients.
