Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the crystal structure of the title complex, [Ni(C18H12N2O3)(C5H5N)3]·3C5H5N, contains two independent NiII complex molecules and six uncoordinated pyridine molecules. Each NiII atom is coordinated by two O and four N atoms, from three pyridine and a chelating 3-hydroxy-N′-(2-oxidobenzylidene)-2-naphthohydrazide dianionic ligand, with a distorted octahedral geometry. Intramolecular O—H...N hydrogen bonding exists in both complex molecules but no intermolecular hydrogen bonding is observed in the crystal structure.

Abstract: The title compound, {[Cu2(C8H5Cl2O3)(C10H8N2)2]NO3}n was prepared by reacting copper(II) nitrate with 4,4′-bipyridine (4,4′-bipy) and (2,4-dichlorophenoxy)acetic acid under solvothermal conditions. Each of two copper(I) atoms in the asymmetric unit is three-coordinated by two N atoms from two 4,4′-bipy ligands and one O atom from the (2,4-dichlorophenoxy)acetate ligand. As both ligands act as bridging ligands, a double-stranded chain structure is observed.

Abstract: The title polymeric compound, [Zn(C8H5Cl2O3)2]n, was prepared by reaction of zinc(II) chloride with 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and sodium hydroxide under hydrothermal conditions. The ZnII atom is coordinated in a distorted tetrahedral environment by four O atoms from four 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate ligands. Each ligand bridges two ZnII atoms, forming a polymeric chain along the a axis. Adjacent chains are connected via C—H...Cl hydrogen bonds.

Abstract: In the title polymer, {[La2(C4H4O6)3(H2O)3] ·2H2O}n, two symmetry-independent LaIII ions are nine-coordinated and display a distorted monocapped square-antiprismatic geometry. One is coordinated by seven O atoms from four tartrate ligands and two water molecules, the other by eight O atoms from five tartrate ligands and one water molecule. The three tartrate ligands in the asymmetric unit act identically as 5-ligands, which link lanthanum centres to form a three-dimensional coordination framework. An extensive network of hydrogen bonds is observed in the crystal structure, involving two uncoordinated water molecules, one of which is disordered over two positions, with occupancies of 0.550 ¢ € …(13) and 0.450 ¢ € …(13).
Stromal cell derived factor-1 enhances bone marrow mononuclear cell migration in mice with acute liver failure

Abstract: AIM: To evaluate the number of bone marrow mononuclear cells (BMMC) that are migrated to the liver following transplantation of murine BMMC into mice with acute liver injury.METHODS: BMMC were isolated from the bone marrow of mice in a lymphocyte separation medium and then labeled with PKH26. The labeled cells were subsequently infused into the caudal veins of BALB/c mice with hepatic injury induced by carbon tetrachloride and 2-acetylaminofluorene. Mice in experimental group were treated with stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1) which was injected intraperitoneally after transplantation of BMMC. Mice in control group were injected intraperitoneally with 0.1 mL of saline (0.9% NaCl) after transplantation of BMMC. After 2 wk, migration of the cells in experimental group was studied by fluorescence microscopy. The expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen and albumin was quantified with manual methods in both groups. The serum transaminase levels at different time points were compared between the two groups.RESULTS: The labeled “cells” were found in the portal region and central veins of hepatic lobules. The PKH26-labeled cells appeared at an average frequency of 108 ± 8/high power field in the experiment group and 65 ± 8/high power field in the control group (P < 0.05). The total number of positive cells was 29 ± 7/high power field in the experimental group and 13 ± 2/high power field in the control group. The albumin expression level was also higher in the experimental group than in the control group (29 ± 7 vs 13 ± 2, P < 0.05). The total number of crossing points was 156 ± 5/high power field in the experimental group and 53 ± 5/high power field in the control group (P < 0.05). The serum alanine aminotransferase levels in experimental and control groups were measured at different time points (120 ± 40 vs 118.50 ± 1.75, P > 0.05; 80.60 ± 6.50 vs 101.08 ± 5.67, P < 0.05; 50.74 ± 5.38 vs 80.47 ± 4.62, P < 0.05; 30.54 ± 2.70 vs 60.72 ± 4.37, P < 0.05; 30.77 ± 5.36 vs 40.47 ± 6.50, P < 0.05). At the same time, the serum aspartate aminotransferase levels were measured in experimental and control groups at different time points (122.55 ± 1.46 vs 120.70 ± 4.22, P > 0.05; 54.26 ± 6.50 vs 98.70 ± 8.20, P < 0.05; 39.47 ± 5.39 vs 78.34 ± 4.50, P < 0.05; 28.94 ± 2.70 vs 56.44 ± 4.28, P < 0.05; 30.77 ± 5.45 vs 42.50 ± 6.28, P < 0.05).CONCLUSION: SDF-1 can promote the migration of BMMC to the liver of mice with acute liver failure.

Abstract: Text classification techniques mostly rely on single term analysis of the document data set, while more concepts, especially the specific ones, are usually conveyed by set of terms. To achieve more accurate text classifier, more informative feature including frequent co-occurring words in the same sentence and their weights are particularly important in such scenarios. In this paper, we propose a novel approach using sentential frequent itemset, a concept comes from association rule mining, for text classification, which views a sentence rather than a document as a transaction, and uses a variable precision rough set based method to evaluate each sentential frequent itemset's contribution to the classification. Experiments over the Reuters and newsgroup corpus are carried out, which validate the practicability of the proposed system.
Effect of Volume Fraction on Electrorheological Effect of Suspension Based on Zeolite and Silicone Oil

Abstract: The shear stress of suspensions based on zeolite and silicone oil under different dc elelctric field and different particle volume fractions was investigated. Results showed that the suspensions behaved as Newtonian fluid in the absence of electric field and as Bingham fluid in the presence of an electric field. The shear yield stress of the suspensions increased with the increase of the applied field strength. It increased greatly with the increase of particle volume fraction as well. The relationship between the volume faction and the shear yield stress is even higher than that predicted by the inverse ratio between the particle interaction force and the square of gap between he particles. This was attributed to the distortion of the adsorbed additives that might decrease the real distance between the particles and the multi-body effect of ER fluids under high volume fractions that significantly increased the shear yield stress.
Relationship between oxygen delivery and its compensatory factors and acute mountain sickness

Abstract: Objective  To investigate the changes in oxygen delivery (DO2) to the body and brain and its compensatory factors to acute hypoxia and their relation to acute mountain sickness (AMS). Methods  One hundred and forty-seven participants were recruited from Chinese young men who had lived in plain all along arrived in Tibet by flight. All of them were asked to complete an AMS questionnaire within 48h after arrival. The resting heart rate (HR), blood pressure (BP), cardiac output (CO), oxygen saturation (SaO2), stroke volume (SV) and blood flow velocity in the middle cerebral artery (MCAv) were measured one week before departure from the plain and within 48h after arrival in Tibet. AMS was diagnosed according to Louis Lake Score System (LLS), and the results were then statistically analyzed. Results  AMS was diagnosed in eighty-six subjects (58.5%). After exposure to hypoxia, SaO2 was decreased by 10% and was negatively correlated with AMS score. Systemic DO2, CO and HR were increased by 19%, 32.5% and 31.7%, respectively, and were positively correlated with AMS, while the SV remained unchanged. MCAv accelerated by 10%, and that of AMS subjects was higher than of non-AMS ones. The cerebral DO2 (DO2C) was maintained because the MCAv matched with SaO2 changes. The middle cerebral artery resistance units (RMCA) decreased obviously with an increase in MBP, and RMCA in AMS subjects was lower than that in non-AMS ones. HR and MCAv, the key compensation factors of DO2, were used as the objective evaluation indices, in collaboration of HR≥85 beat/min and MCAv≥66cm/s, could be a better means to evaluate AMS, with a positive predictive value of 82.4% and specificity of 90.2%. Conclusions  DO2 and its compensatory factors may play a key role in the regulation response to acclimatize to acute hypoxia. Among them, HR and MCAv may relate to the mechanism of AMS development, and indirectly reflect the compensation level to oxygen debt, implying that HR and MCAv are helpful in the assessment of AMS.
