A Simple Monitoring Network System of Wireless Sensor Network

Abstract: A SSNS (simple sensor network sniffer) is used to analyze and evaluate the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) effectively. SSNS is designed to monitor IEEE 802.15.4 protocol frame, which based on the Ethernet. Unlike the existed monitoring system, our design is much simpler and needs less resource. It is analyzed in this paper that the monitor network framework, time synchronization, and analysis program design. The results show that SSNS works stably, and can real-time display the frame monitored and reflect the dynamic change of WSN.

Abstract:

In main foxtail millet growing regions of China, natural disasters happen frequently, causing losses in production and finance. Therefore, it is urgently needed to breed new superior quality foxtail millet varieties with stress resistance, stable and high production, and, so as to stabilize millet production and promote millet industry development. Jigu32, a new foxtail millet variety with stable, high-yield and superior qualities, was developed using Target Character Gene Bank breeding method, and its physiological mechanism was studied as well. Results showed that the prominent characteristics of Jigu32 were as follows: 1) strong stress resistance and stable yielding; 2) high yielding; 3) rich calcium content and superior qualities; 4) excellent comprehensive characteristics. In 2010 National Foxtail Millet Regional Trials, the weather was tough. Severe drought occurred in some experimental stations while in some others, continuous rain, low temperature and little sunlight appeared. However, with the outstanding stress resistance, Jigu32 achieved the highest yields, and the yields were very stable under different conditions. Per unit yield of Jigu32 reached to5133.3 kg/hm

Abstract:

In multi-infeed HVDC system, the interactions and influences between DC systems AC systems are complex as the electrical distances among DC converter stations which are relatively short. Multi-infeed interaction factor (MIIF) can effectively reflect the interaction among DC systems. The paper theoretically analyzes the impact factors of MIIF like the electrical distances between two DC converter stations and the equivalent impedance of the receiving end AC system. By applying the Kirchhoff’s current law on the inverter AC bus, the paper deduces the analytical expressions for MIIF. From the expression, it is clear how the equivalent impedance of AC system and coupling impedance can affect MIIF. PSCAD simulations validate the effectiveness and the correctness of the proposed expression and some useful conclusions are drawn.

Abstract:
The construction of service mode is the key to the formation and development of the logistics enterprises’ core competitiveness. Especially in the context of integrated supply chain, how to effectively build and promote the innovative service mode is the core issue of logistics enterprises’ survival. Therefore, recognizing the driving forces of logistics enterprises in service mode reform and establishing a proper organizational structure which promotes innovative elements are a constant that needs for further research. Based on the China domestic and international research on the related theories of supply chain integration, this paper puts forward the construction and elements of the supply chain integrated service mode and makes a single case study. The core content of this mode and its application in practice is the driving forces behind the integrated supply chain service mode and the relationship between service mode elements and its governance.
Efficacy of Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) versus Pneumatic Ureteroscopic Lithotripsy (URSL) for Lower Ureteral Stones Therapy in Asia: A Meta-Analysis  [PDF]

Abstract:

Objective: To assess the efficacy and safety of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy or pneumatic ureteroscopic lithotripsy for lower ureteral stones therapy, we sought to identify and summarize randomized controlled trials that were used to treat distal ureteral stone. Methods: Eligible studies were identified from electronic databases. Database search, quality assessment, and data extraction were performed by two reviewers independently. Our primary outcome was the stone-free rate. Secondary outcomes were the fragmentation rate, complications and the rate of re-treatment and secondary procedures. The results were assessed by Review Manager 5.0. Publication bias was evaluated by Stata 11.0. Results: 13 trials were included. Meta-analysis of pooled data showed that pneumatic ureteroscopic lithotripsy demonstrated a significant advantage over extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (OR = 0.14, 95% CI [0.09, 0.23], P < 0.00001) in the stone-free rate; the extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy had statistical disadvantages over pneumatic ureteroscopic lithotripsy in the fragmentation rate of ureteral stones (OR = 0.14, 95% CI [0.05, 0.39], P = 0.0002); and the rate of re-treatment and secondary procedure was lower in pneumatic ureteroscopic lithotripsy than in extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (OR = 5.37, 95% CI [2.61, 11.07], P < 0.00001). Our pooled results showed that there was no statistical difference between extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy and pneumatic ureteroscopic lithotripsy in hematuresis, ureteral stricture and urosepsis or fever. Finally extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy had a higher incidence of colic pain than pneumatic ureteroscopic lithotripsy. Conclusion: The present meta-analysis suggested that pneumatic ureteroscopic lithotripsy had large advantages over extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy in the treatment of lower ureteral stones.

Abstract: This paper is devoted to solving a multidimensional backward stochastic differential equation with a general time interval, where the generator is uniformly continuous in $(y,z)$ non-uniformly with respect to $t$. By establishing some results on deterministic backward differential equations with general time intervals, and by virtue of Girsanov's theorem and convolution technique, we establish a new existence and uniqueness result for solutions of this kind of backward stochastic differential equations, which extends the results of Hamadene (2003) and Fan, Jiang, Tian (2011) to the general time interval case.
A Closed-Form Formulation of HRBF-Based Surface Reconstruction

Abstract: The Hermite radial basis functions (HRBFs) implicits have been used to reconstruct surfaces from scattered Hermite data points. In this work, we propose a closed-form formulation to construct HRBF-based implicits by a quasi-solution approximating the exact solution. A scheme is developed to automatically adjust the support sizes of basis functions to hold the error bound of a quasi-solution. Our method can generate an implicit function from positions and normals of scattered points without taking any global operation. Working together with an adaptive sampling algorithm, the HRBF-based implicits can also reconstruct surfaces from point clouds with non-uniformity and noises. Robust and efficient reconstruction has been observed in our experimental tests on real data captured from a variety of scenes.
Quantitative study of cytotoxic T-lymphocyte immunotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma

Abstract: The concentration of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) in the tumor cell cytomembranes increases after CTL is added. Concurrently, there is a marked downward trend of the phosphorylated transforming growth factor-α (TGFα)-EGFR complex in the tumor cell cytomembranes, which indicates restriction of tumor growth after CTL immunotherapy. The relationships among the time of addition of CTL, the amount of CTL added, different CTL specificities for LMP2 and the increment rate k of the total number of tumor cells were evaluated.The simulation results quantify the relationships among treatment time-points, amount of CTL added, and the corresponding therapeutic effect of immunotherapy for NPC.Epstein-Barr virus is present in virtually all poorly-differentiated and undifferentiated nasopharyngeal carcinomas (NPC) and the viral antigens expressed by the tumor provide potential targets for immunotherapy [1]. NPCs only express a restricted set of less immunogenic viral antigens (latency type II), namely EBNA-1, LMP-1 and LMP-2. The most likely target antigen for a CD8+ cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL)-based therapy is LMP-2.A pilot study using adoptive T cell therapy to treat NPC was reported in 2001 [2]. Autologous EBV-transformed B-lymphoblastoid cell line (LCL)-reactivated T cells were generated in vitro and used to treat four advanced cases of NPC. The use of autologous EBV-specific CTL for NPC has since been evaluated in two clinical trials [3,4]. Both studies demonstrated that autologous EBV-specific CTL is safe, induces LMP-2-specific immune responses, and is associated with an objective response and control of disease in advanced NPC. However, the EBV-specific CTL lines in these studies were generated by stimulation with EBV-LCL, which favored the outgrowth of CTL responses to the immunodominant EBNA-3 proteins rather than the subdominant EBV proteins LMP-1 and LMP-2 expressed in NPC. The complete nucleotide sequence and its organization of the genome of Barley yellow dwarf virus-GAV

Abstract: The complete nucleotide sequence of genomic RNA of BYDV-GAV was determined. It comprised 5685 nucleotides and contained six open reading frames and four un-translated regions. The size and organization of BYDV-GAV genome were similar to those of BYDV PAV-aus. The nucleotide and deduced amino acid sequences of the six ORFs were aligned and compared with those of other luteoviruses. The results showed that there was a high degree of identity between BYDV-GAV and MAV-PS1 in all ORFs except ORF5 and ORF6, which had only 87.4% and 70.2% identities respectively. The reported genomic nucleotide sequence of MAV was shorter than that of BYDV-GAV, but the comparison of the genomic nucleotide sequences for MAV-PS1 and GAV showed 90.4% sequence identity for the same region of the genome. According to the level of sequence similarities, BYDV-GAV should be closely related to BYDV-MAV.
A novel strategy for construction of immuno-PCR gene probe and its preliminary application in diagnosis

Abstract: An α-letoprotein (AFP) antibody gene proh was constructed using chlorophyll molecule as a coupler between protein and dsDNA. The preliminary study on the detection of AFP using this novel probe was performed by immuno-PCR. and the results indicated that the sensitivity of the gene probe by immuno-PCR is 104–105 times higher compared with ELI SA. The construction of immuno-PCR gene probe in this way not only completely prevents the protein from contacting with organic solvent and maintains the native conformation of the proteins, but also anchors protein to dsDNA in a fixed orientation and makes PCR amplification more efficient. The gene probe thus constructed is stable for at least 6 months at room temperature. This new approach is exquisite, simple, less expensive, and suitable to a variety of applications.
