Experimental Study & Heat Transfer Analysis on Copper Spiral Heat Exchanger Using Water Based SiO2 Nanofluid as Coolant  [PDF]

Abstract: Heat exchangers have its major application in automobile, air condition, refrigerator, power plants, and many others. Heat transfer characteristics and performance of Copper spiral heat exchanger are investigated and compared with pure water. Nanofluid can enhance thermos-physical properties. Experiment is carried out for water based SiO2 Nanofluid with 15 nm average sized nanoparticle at varying air velocity and mass flow rate of fluid to investigate its effect on heat transfer coefficient. From the experimental data, a closed form solution for Nusselt number has been calculated using -NTU method. A new correlation has been proposed as a function of Reynolds number and Prandtl number. The heat transfer rate, effectiveness, has been significantly higher compared to pure water and with increasing volume fraction of nanoparticles.

Abstract: A new animal model system was developed using dog′s muzzle to demonstrate genetic transmission of depigmentation. Dog′s muzzle is ′black in colour and heavily pigmented with pigement melanin. This study provides cluse to the genetic transmission of depigmentation. The genetic transmission of depigmentation of dog′s muzzle was autosomal dominant.

Abstract: A new animal model is developed using dog′s muzzle to demonstrate progressive depigmen-tation after birth. Dog′s muzzle is heavily pigmented with pigment melanin and looks black in colour. Progressive depigmentation was observed two months after birth in a pup born with a depigmented mucous membrane of the mouth and lips. This resembles the vitiligo of humans.

Abstract: In this paper we prove that the split graphs of K1,n and Bn,n are prime cordial graphs. We also show that the square graph of Bn,n is a prime cordial graph while middle graph of Pn is a prime cordial graph for n≥4 . Further we prove that the wheel graph Wn admits prime cordial labeling for n≥8.

Abstract: In a control study of 75 male patients of coudyloma acuminata Dinitrochlorobenzene. (DNCB) was used as immuno therapeutic agent. The DNCB was not found to be superior in curing the warts when compared with control groups. No serious side effects and toxic were observed with DNCB.

Abstract: Two simple efficient and reproducible difference spectroscopic and reverse phase high performance liquid chromatographic methods have been developed for the estimation of cefdinir in pharmaceutical dosage forms. Difference spectroscopic method is based on the measurement of absorbance of cefdinir at maxima 265 nm and minima 230 nm. The measured value is the amplitude of maxima and minima between two eqimolar solutions of the analyte in different chemical forms, which exhibit different spectral characteristics. Beer′s law was obeyed in the concentration range of 10 to 35 mg/ml. The second method, a High Performance Liquid Chromatography, was developed for the estimation of cefdinir, using 50 mM ammonium acetate (pH 3.0±0.1 adjusted with 10% phosphoric acid) and methanol (80:20% v/v) as the mobile phase with flow rate of 1 ml/min, and measuring the response at 285 nm. An external standard calibration method was employed for quantitation. Beer′s law was obeyed in the concentration range of 15 to 125 mg/ml. The results obtained in the analysis of dosage forms agree well with the labelled contents.
