A Research on Service Recognition  [PDF]
Shuliang Wang, Jingru Tian, Shanshan Zou
iBusiness (IB) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/ib.2011.31010
Abstract: Service exists in the service provider and the service receiver. They can produce the contractual relationship which is value and trust mutually. People can obtain the different intension of service with different knowledge background and technique. In this paper, service is recognized in the views of 12 levels. Through the description and analysis of these 12 levels, the method for existing services is summarized. Thereby the important impact on service science is elaborated in the modern economy.
Las lógicas del no-reconocimiento y la lucha cotidiana de las migrantes zapotecas en Estados Unidos: Breve etnografía del servicio doméstico
Aquino Moreschi, Alejandra;
Cuicuilco , 2010,
Abstract: in northern countries, domestic service is reserved almost exclusively to migrant women from countries of the south. in recent decades, thousands of oaxacan women have migrated to the us and mostly have been inserted in this occupational niche. based on ethnographic research in the city of los angeles with zapotec migrants from the sierra norte of oaxaca and the connection of this empirical material with some thoughts by axel honneth, i intend to report the experience of these women as domestic workers and the type of work and personal relationships that are established. the analytical unit experience will allow me to capture the subjectivities of these women, thereby restoring their roles as social actors.

Realization of Personalized Services for Intelligent Residential Space based on User Identification Method using Sequential Walking Footprints

Journal of Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics , 2005,
Abstract: A new human-friendly assistive home environment, Intelligent Sweet Home (ISH), developed at KAIST, Korea for testing advanced concepts for independent living of the elderly/the physically handicapped. The concept of ISH is to consider the home itself as an intelligent robot. ISH always checks the intention or health status of the resident. Therefore, ISH can do actively the most proper services considering the resident's life-style by the detected intention or emergency information. But, when there are more than two residents, ISH cannot consider the residents' characteristics or tastes if ISH cannot identify who he/she is before. To realize a personalized service system in the intelligent residential space like ISH, we deal with a human-friendly user identification method for ubiquitous computing environment, specially focused on dynamic human footprint recognition. And then, we address some case studies of personalized services that have been experienced by Human-friendly Welfare Robot System research center, KAIST.
An Ubiquitous Service Mobility Mechanism in the Cross Domain Service Framework  [PDF]
Jung-Sik Sung, Jongmoo Sohn, Yoon-Sik Yoo, Jaedoo Huh
Journal of Software Engineering and Applications (JSEA) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/jsea.2012.531103
Abstract: Service mobility has become a new issue in the area of service convergence with the advent of versatile mobile devices. Hence, we propose an open service framework with support for service mobility that executes contents and applications in a dynamic environment. For the framework, the concept and role of a device and its application for a service are redefined into the new concepts of device, execution engine, and service. Mechanisms for device profiling, user preference learning, and profile-based service recommendation are designed to enable device-capability-aware service recommendation functionality. Furthermore, a seamless service syndication mechanism is added for continuity and synchronization of service upon change of terminal, network status, or personal preference. A prototype system integrates functionalities with proprietary protocol and a content transcoder to support multiple device platforms. The prototype shows the capability of the framework in service mobility support and its advancement into an open international application platform.

Journal of Service Science and Management (JSSM) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/jssm.2013.61002

A new mediator model for Information service firms (ISFs) is proposed based on Service dominant logic. In this model, mediators create a shared contextual place and it plays an important role in connecting and managing supply and demand to provide superior services. The mechanism of value co-creation based on service dominant logic in business activities through a suitable service field organized by mediator firms for interactions by all participants. This mechanism is demonstrated through case studies of the framework of Hitachi TWX-21 and Cookpad Inc., which are Japanese information service businesses. We found that a good service field was effective in helping all business’s parties receive better value and gain satisfaction.

Quality Assessment in the Service Area of Expertise in an Institution of Public Health Sector  [PDF]
Jose Antonio Hernández Contreras, María Dolores Esquivel Hernández, Ana María González Ponce
Open Journal of Social Sciences (JSS) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/jss.2015.31007
Abstract: In Mexico over time, economic crisis has worsened the health sector, where those most affected are the lower class, so that people with disease do not have access to private health services, given the high cost that this represents, just as people who are not beneficiaries of the Mexican Institute of Social Security by its Spanish initials IMSS, Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers by its Spanish initials ISSSTE and other insured agencies providing public health services have no options to solve their health problems.
Research on Value Creation Mechanism of Manufacturing Enterprises Service Derivative

A New Method for Chinese Character Strokes Recognition  [PDF]
Yan Xu, Xiangnian Huang, Huan Chen, Huizhu Jiang
Open Journal of Applied Sciences (OJAppS) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/ojapps.2012.23027
Abstract: In this paper, the problem of stroke recognition has been studied, and the strategies and the algorithms related to the problem are proposed or developed. Based on studying some current methods for Chinese characters strokes recognition, a new method called combining trial is presented. The analysis and results of experiments showed that the method has the advantage of high degree of steadiness.
Are the Typologies Determined by the Post-Critical Belief Scale Predicted Well by the Religious Attitudes and Behaviour of Maltese Undergraduate Students?  [PDF]

Psychology (PSYCH) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/psych.2011.25063
Abstract: Religious beliefs play an important role in the study of religious practices and behaviour. Wulff (1997) suggested that there are four basic attitudes towards religion: Literal Affirmation, Literal Disaffirmation, Reductive Interpretation and Restorative Interpretation. Building on this work, Duriez, Soenans and Hutsebaut (2005) constructed the Post-Critical Belief Scale (PCBS). In their work, Duriez at al. conducted a Principal Component Analysis of the responses to this questionnaire. It yielded two factors which partitioned 2-dimensional space into four quadrants corresponding to the four types of beliefs postulated by Wulff (1997). The research question which is addressed in this paper is whether there is an association between scores on the PCBS and religious practices and behaviour in a staunchly Catholic country like Malta where over 98% are baptized in the Roman Catholic Church. This question was addressed by administering a questionnaire to a random sample of 650 students at the University of Malta, of which 421 completed the questionnaire. Of those who answered the questionnaire, 349 were undergraduates. The questionnaire consisted of a number of questions about religious attitudes and behaviour, and also included the PCBS. The analysis of the association between membership of one of the four belief typologies and the participants’ responses to other questions related to religious beliefs, religious practice and sexual norms was carried out using Discriminant Analysis. The results indicate that, at least in this sample of Maltese university students, these three measures do a reasonably good job in identifying membership in three of Wulff’s four belief typologies.
