Abstract: After the discovery of V391 Peg b, the first planet detected around a post Red Giant phase star (Silvotti et al. 2007), the EXOTIME (EXOplanet search with the TIming MEthod) project is focused on the search for new planets with similar characteristics. The aim of the project is to organize a global observing network to collect as much data as possible for a sample of five subdwarf B (sdB) stars and share them in order to obtain a more precise analysis. These evolved pulsators may have extremely regular oscillation periods. This feature makes these stars suitable to search for planetary companions with the timing method as in the case of pulsars. In this contribution we present the project and some preliminary results for the star PG 1325+101 (QQ Vir) after the first two years of activity.
Quantum Dynamical Entropies and Gács Algorithmic Entropy
Fabio Benatti
Entropy , 2012, DOI: 10.3390/e14071259
Abstract: Several quantum dynamical entropies have been proposed that extend the classical Kolmogorov–Sinai (dynamical) entropy. The same scenario appears in relation to the extension of algorithmic complexity theory to the quantum realm. A theorem of Brudno establishes that the complexity per unit time step along typical trajectories of a classical ergodic system equals the KS-entropy. In the following, we establish a similar relation between the Connes–Narnhofer–Thirring quantum dynamical entropy for the shift on quantum spin chains and the Gács algorithmic entropy. We further provide, for the same system, a weaker linkage between the latter algorithmic complexity and a different quantum dynamical entropy proposed by Alicki and Fannes.
A review of the genus Bulbothrix Hale: the species with medullary salazinic acid lacking vegetative propagules
Michel Benatti
MycoKeys , 2012, DOI: 10.3897/mycokeys.5.3342
Abstract: Descriptions are presented for the seven known Bulbothrix (Parmeliaceae, Lichenized Fungi) species with salazinic acid in the medulla and without vegetative propagules. Bulbothrix continua, previously considered as a synonym of B. hypocraea, is recognized as independent species. The current delimitations are confirmed for B. enormis, B. hypocraea, B. meizospora, B. linteolocarpa, B. sensibilis, and B. setschwanensis. New characteriscs and range extensions are provided.
A review of the genus Bulbothrix Hale: the species with medullary norstictic or protocetraric acids
Michel Benatti
MycoKeys , 2012, DOI: 10.3897/mycokeys.2.2522
Abstract: This study presents data of eight Bulbothrix (Parmeliaceae, Lichenized Fungi) species containing norstictic or protocetraric acid in the medulla. The current species delimitations were confirmed. New synonyms are proposed, new characteriscts are detailed and range extensions are added.
Three resurrected species of the genus Bulbothrix Hale (Parmeliaceae, Lichenized Fungi)

Mycosphere , 2012,
Abstract: Bulbothrix laeviuscula, B. pseudocoronata and B. subscortea are proposed as new combinations in the Parmeliaceae based on type studies. Descriptions are presented and their characters discussed.
You Don’t Know Me But Can I Be Your Friend? Accepting Strangers as Friends in Facebook  [PDF]
Serena Leow, Zuoming Wang
Social Networking (SN) , 2019, DOI: 10.4236/sn.2019.81004
Abstract:
Users in social networking sites, such as Facebook, are increasingly receiving friend requests from strangers. This study examines the effects of the Big Five personality traits (Neurotics vs. Extroversion vs. Openness vs. Conscientiousness vs. Agreeableness) and strangers’ gender in affecting Facebook users’ decisions to accept (or ignore) the stranger’s friend request. Results showed that gender of the stranger and the personality match between participant and stranger jointly affect the decision to accept the stranger as friend on Facebook. Most of the participants accepted the stranger’s friend request based on textual cues that were displayed in the friend request message. This finding supported Social Information Processing theory, suggesting that impression formation of the stranger was not constrained to the lack of nonverbal cues online. Moreover, participants were more likely to accept the stranger’s friend request when the participant’s and stranger’s personalities matched. This effect was more pronounced when the stranger was a female. Participants accepted female stranger’s friend request due to the inflated perception of stereotypical female characteristics, which supports the Hyperpersonal Perspective.
Pequenas espécies de Parmeliaceae ciliadas no Parque Estadual da Cantareira, S?o Paulo, SP, Brasil: gêneros Bulbothrix, Parmelinella e Parmelinopsis (Parmeliaceae, Ascomycota)
Benatti, Michel Navarro;
Hoehnea , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S2236-89062012000200004
Abstract: the survey of species belonging to the genera of small ciliate parmeliae in parque estadual da cantareira and surrounding areas revealed the occurrence of two bulbothrix, one parmelinella, and four parmelinopsis species. the species are characterized by foliose thalli with lobes or laciniae, generally < 0.5 cm wide. bulbothrix has marginal bulbate cilia, parmelinella simple axillary cilia, and parmelinopsis simple conspicuous cilia. medulary chemical constituents are very diverse in bulbothrix and parmelinopsis, while salazinic acid predominates in parmelinella. an identification key, descriptions, comments, and illustrations are provided.
Acidentes do trabalho entre trabalhadores de enfermagem de um hospital universitário
Benatti, Maria Cecilia Cardoso;
Revista da Escola de Enfermagem da USP , 2001, DOI: 10.1590/S0080-62342001000200010
Abstract: a descriptive study was conducted to assess the epidemiological aspects of the work accidents that occur among nursing personnel. the study consisted of a population of 1, 218 workers and assessed 100 accidents, that corresponded to 8.2% of all accidents that took place during the period, january 1" 1995 to june 3th 1995. the summary of this study evaluates the work accidents that occur among these nursing personnel and the risk factors presented by the working conditions of a university hospital.
