The Formula of Grangeat for Tensor Fields of Arbitrary Order in Dimensions
T. Schuster
International Journal of Biomedical Imaging , 2007, DOI: 10.1155/2007/12839
Abstract: The cone beam transform of a tensor field of order m in n≥2 dimensions is considered. We prove that the image of a tensor field under this transform is related to a derivative of the n-dimensional Radon transform applied to a projection of the tensor field. Actually the relation we show reduces for m=0 and n=3 to the well-known formula of Grangeat. In that sense, the paper contains a generalization of Grangeat's formula to arbitrary tensor fields in any dimension. We further briefly explain the importance of that formula for the problem of tensor field tomography. Unfortunately, for m>0, an inversion method cannot be derived immediately. Thus, we point out the possibility to calculate reconstruction kernels for the cone beam transform using Grangeat's formula.

Schuster,Hans;
Literatura y lingüística , 2004, DOI: 10.4067/S0716-58112004001500010
Abstract: the article talks about the form and social topics of the last poetic production of the poet llanos melusa, his contradictions and the resource of the contradiction. the analysis is centered in the text entitled miniantología, which registers the conflicts of a period in latin america with its beats of blood and felony (argentina, chile, paraguay, etc). the author criticizes the dictatorial corruption and the assassins that the state in impunity maintains enjoying their retirement
Marker-assisted selection for quantitative traits

Abstract: although thousands of scientific articles have been published on the subject of marker-assisted selection (mas) and quantitative trait loci (qtl), the application of mas for qtl in plant breeding has been restricted. among the main causes for this limited use are the low accuracy of qtl mapping and the high costs of genotyping thousands of plants with tens or hundreds of molecular markers in routine breeding programs. recently, new large-scale genotyping technologies have resulted in a cost reduction. nevertheless, the mas for qtl has so far been limited to selection programs using several generations per year, where phenotypic selection cannot be performed in all generations, mainly in recurrent selection programs. methods of mas for qtl in breeding programs using self-pollination have been developed.

Fixed-point-free embeddings of graphs in their complements
Seymour Schuster
International Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences , 1978, DOI: 10.1155/s0161171278000356
Abstract: The following is proved: If G is a labeled (p,p ¢ ’2) graph where p ¢ ‰ ¥2, then there exists an isomorphic embedding of G in its complement G ˉ such that has no fixed vertices. The extension to (p,p ¢ ’1) graphs is also considered.

This overview of the current research environment of gender related spatial research is characterized by a large variety of topics, perspectives, as well as theoretical and methodological approaches. The authors discuss the conceptualization of gender (which has been in a state of flux over time) while relating it to the respective geographical research area. Conceptual considerations about the definition of space can also be found in several articles. Most authors examine the co-construction of space and gender while either taking an intersectional perspective or advocating one for future research. This is justified by the suitability of the intersectional approach, which is said to be able to meet the complexities of social injustice while also being able to revaluate differing social positions in research practices as well as in societal life.

The collected volume offers an interdisciplinary overview of the topic of harassment in public spaces – not only sexual harassment but also racial, homophobic, and transphobic harassment. The overview also expands to include debates beyond German-language borders. The essays use various theoretical and practical perspectives to illuminate the manner in which power relations are reflected and reproduced in conceptions of public and private spaces. The volume shows in a convincing way that violence-driven multilayered processes perpetuate hierarchical, heteronormative, and racist social orders.
Was ist eigentlich ein queerer Raum? Ein Bildessay
Nina Schuster
querelles-net , 2009,
In the engagement with queer forms of living the question often arises as to how “queer” spaces can be described. The subsequent visual essay offers one possibility for examining queer spaces through image associations. The series of images reflect the difficulties in defining and identifying queer space. The suggested answers to the question are as different as the interpreters who formulate them and the political and theoretical positions from which they speak. I would like to highlight this essay for further reflection and discussion. It contains attempts at encircling queer spaces, reflections on initial results that I have in part already disregarded, and many open questions. Images provide the possibility to maintain a space for associations and new approaches. At the same time the essay’s selection of images is constricted (and subjective) and guides the gaze in a particular direction. Thus this is an artistic and personal but only marginally academic attempt to approach this topic.
