The use of Jclic as complement for the teaching/learning of the Phisical Education

Abstract: In this article we seek to show the importance of the program Jclic in the design of applications didactic multimedia and interactive that procedural aspects of diverse areas of the curriculum work that embrace from the infantile education until the secondary education. In particular, we will center ourselves in the design of activities for the introduction from the Physical Education to different levels.
SCALE DEVELOPMENT FOR MEASURING AND PREDICTING ADOLESCENTS' LEISURE TIME PHYSICAL ACTIVITY BEHAVIOR

Abstract: The aim of this study was to develop a scale for assessing and predicting adolescents' physical activity behavior in Spain and Luxembourg using the Theory of Planned Behavior as a framework. The sample was comprised of 613 Spanish (boys = 309, girls = 304; M age =15.28, SD =1.127) and 752 Luxembourgish adolescents (boys = 343, girls = 409; M age = 14.92, SD = 1.198), selected from students of two secondary schools in both countries, with a similar socio-economic status. The initial 43-items were all scored on a 4-point response format using the structured alternative format and translated into Spanish, French and German. In order to ensure the accuracy of the translation, standardized parallel back-translation techniques were employed. Following two pilot tests and subsequent revisions, a second order exploratory factor analysis with oblimin direct rotation was used for factor extraction. Internal consistency and test-retest reliabilities were also tested. The 4-week test-retest correlations confirmed the items' time stability. The same five factors were obtained, explaining 63.76% and 63.64% of the total variance in both samples. Internal consistency for the five factors ranged from α = 0.759 to α = 0. 949 in the Spanish sample and from α = 0.735 to α = 0.952 in the Luxembourgish sample. For both samples, inter-factor correlations were all reported significant and positive, except for Factor 5 where they were significant but negative. The high internal consistency of the subscales, the reported item test-retest reliabilities and the identical factor structure confirm the adequacy of the elaborated questionnaire for assessing the TPB-based constructs when used with a population of adolescents in Spain and Luxembourg. The results give some indication that they may have value in measuring the hypothesized TPB constructs for PA behavior in a cross-cultural context
The labour situation of the graduates in Teaching in Physical Education: guarantee of quality

Abstract: The introduction of the European Higher Education Area in a new culture of quality in Higher Education, makes us ask about the aspects that give quality to it. Among the quality factors in Higher Education we can find: University guidance and analysis of the graduate′s incorporation into the labour world. In this article we present the research we did in conducted at the six classes of graduates of Teaching in Physical Education from the University of Seville (N = 292). From the data we obteined, we can observe that 95% of the surveyed population does not ask for work or professional guidance during their degree and 63% of the surveyed population find their first job connected with the world of sport and physical activity, while 37% of this population has a work connected with other topics. Thus, we can conclude that most graduates of Teaching in Physical Education do not receive guidance for their incorporation into the labour world. This is why no everygraduate can get a job connected with the world of sport and physical activity.

Abstract: This article comes from the interest in learning about the behaviour of parents in the sport of her child in the Municipal Sports Academies in Sevilla. The aim of the study is to know how much parents are able to get involved in sport practiced by their children, which behaviours they adopt and which points of view have sport technicians and children themselves of that involvement, analyzing whether all this is done as educational or not. The study consists of a sample of parents, children and technicians from different Municipal Sports Academies in Sevilla, to which were passed out a questionnaire related to the behaviour and attitudes of parents in their children’s sports, both at the level of training and level of competitions in which their children are involved. The results show that participation is largely dependent on the practiced sport and on the districts where the children involved. There are differences regarding the behaviour of both parents in training, competition, involvement ... according to where they belong.

Abstract: The aim of this research is to know about students′ physical activity from Faculty of Education of University of Seville, and its characteristics. The sample (N=409) is constituted for students from the different degrees of this Faculty (±4.8%; 95%CI). A specific questionnaire, built to that effect, was used to obtain dates. This instrument was validated by different experts on this area of studies, and statistic tests was done to check its reliability (Alpha Cronbach: .78) using SPSS V.15. The main results showed that 62.19% of students do physical activity regularly. Students prefer recreational activities or exercise aimed at being fit or watching health instead competitive games. Activities done by students inside University are very similar to activities done out of this. They also do exercise during all academic year, preferably along the all week or from Monday to Friday, and especially in the afternoon. This group usually practice with friends, classmates or workmates, but lonely too, and they prefer public areas and public or private sport facilities for their sport practice. Con esta investigación se pretende conocer la práctica de actividad físico-deportiva de los estudiantes de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación de la Universidad de Sevilla, así como las principales características de la misma. La muestra (N=409) está compuesta por estudiantes de grado, primer y segundo ciclo de esta Facultad (±4.8%; 95%CI). Para la obtención de datos se aplicó un cuestionario estructurado en 5 bloques, del cual se han seleccionado algunos ítems para esta investigación. Dicho instrumento fue validado por varios expertos en la materia y se han realizado diversas pruebas estadísticas con el paquete SPSS V.15, calculándose la fiabilidad del instrumento a través del coeficiente Alfa de Cronbach (.78). Los datos obtenidos revelan una tasa de práctica del 62,19%. El alumnado prefiere actividades deportivas de carácter recreativo y orientadas al mantenimiento de la forma física y la mejora de la salud. Existe bastante similitud entre las actividades que el alumnado realiza a través de la Universidad y fuera de la misma. Además, suelen realizar AFD todo el a o, durante toda la semana o de lunes a viernes, especialmente en horario de tarde. Combinan la práctica en solitario con la compa ía de amigos y compa eros y se decantan por la práctica en espacios públicos y por las instalaciones públicas y privadas. WHOLE BODY VIBRATION: ACUTE AND RESIDUAL EFFECT ON THE EXPLOSIVE STRENGTH

Abstract: The whole body vibrations (WBV) it is nowadays one of the most widely used methods for improving the explosive strength. This seems to produce similar effects than those found after applying a eccentric-concentric cycle. In this study, 12 subjects participating in recreational physical activity were allocated to 5 sets of 60 s of WBV exposure, using a frequency of 30 Hz, and 2.5 mm of amplitude, maintaining an static position (110 ° bending knees) on a vibratory platform (Galileo Fitness ; Novotech, Germany). The results showed an increase (not significant) in SJ (+1.76 ± 4.05 cm) and CMJ (+1.10 ± 3.20 cm) in the post-test conducted just after the vibration. The values of the post-test performed 30 min after SJ remained above the pre-test ones but just below the immediate post-test ones (+0.42 ± 4.43 cm). By contrast, the values in CMJ dropped below the pre-test ones (-0.12 ± 2.45 cm). Based on these data it seems that when the frequency is not high it is necessary to use greater amplitude in order to achieve the desired effects. The effect achieved after the vibration is transient, not remaining after 30 min.
Validation of a questionnaire for the analysis of the behavior and actions of parents in sports (ABAPD)

Abstract: Sport in schools is, often, a reflection of professional sport that currently takes place in our society, when it is assumed that most children choose sports as mostly or enjoy being with friends. Thus, we consider it important to know the opinion that parents have about sports in school age that their children practice. The objective of the present study was to design and validate a questionnaire for parents in order to know what their perceptions, behaviors and attitudes regarding the sport of their children, concretely in the Municipal Sports Academies in Sevilla. For this reason, this article shows the construction and validation of a questionnaire in different phases: the validation of the questionnaire through the experts, the draft of the definitive questionnaire and the pilot study and the record of the information for the process of reliability.
Valoración y autoconcepto del alumnado con sobrepeso. Influencia de la escuela, actitudes sedentarias y de actividad física. (Assessment of overweight students′ self-esteem. Influence of school, sedentary habits and physical activity.)

Abstract: Resumen El propósito de este estudio fue diferenciar los niveles de grasa corporal de estudiantes de entre 13 y 15 a os, para a partir de ahí conocer las opiniones y actitudes que pueden asociarse con variables como la autoestima, hábitos sedentarios, la frecuencia de actividad física y salud, así como su relación respecto a variables independientes como la edad, sexo y composición corporal. El estudio fue realizado sobre 145 estudiantes de educación secundaria, divididos en dos grupos diferentes según el peso: el normal y sobrepeso. Se obtuvieron medidas de índice de masa corporal y bioimpedancia eléctrica, así como información adicional mediante un doble cuestionario. La validez y fiabilidad se calculó realizando análisis de datos exploratorio con factorización realizada sobre la matriz de correlaciones policórica, y el coeficiente alfa de Cronbach respectivamente. Se hallaron 3 factores que explican el 44% de la varianza. El análisis de resultados mediante ANOVA, expresó diferencias significativas de opinión (p < 0.05) entre sujetos sobrepeso y normopeso. Los primeros expresaron puntuaciones más bajas respecto a las recomendaciones recibidas del profesorado para realizar actividad física extraescolar, y consideraron que el ejercicio físico propuesto desde el Centro Educativo no es el más adecuado para combatir su exceso de peso corporal. Se evidenció una elevada indiferencia de los padres a la hora de recomendar la práctica deportiva a sus hijos con problemas de sobrepeso. Abstract This paper is intended to ascertain the body fat percentage of students between 13 and 15 years of age. Based on the former, the study researches opinions and attitudes which may be associated with variables like self-esteem, sedentary habits, frequency of physical activity and health, as well as the correlation between their answers and factors like age, sex and body composition. The study is based on evidence of 145 high school students divided into two groups: normal and overweight. Measurements of body mass index and electrical bioimpedance as well as additional information from a double questionnaire were obtained. Test validity and reliability was achieved using exploratory analysis and applying factorization on the polychoric correlation matrix and Cronbach's alpha. Three factors were found to explain 44% of the variance. Analysis of variance revealed significant differences between the opinion of normal and of overweight students (p < 0.05). The former scored lower than the latter as regards their teachers' recommendations about extra-curricular physical activity,
Suicidio en pacientes psiquiátricos crónicos ingresados.

Abstract: Se realiza un estudio retrospectivo de los historiales clínicos de 21 enfermos psiquiátricos crónicos que consumaron el suicidio durante su permanencia en Salas de Larga Estancia entre los a os 1970 y 1990 resultando que sus tasas de Prevalencia e Incidencia son bajas y con tendencia claramente decreciente; que determinados hallazgos estarían indicando que el propio funcionamiento asistencial podría haber favorecido tales suicidios y se propone el análisis de la relación entre pacientes y cuidadores como medio de identificar a los futuros pacientes crónicos suicidas.

Abstract: Se delimita clínicamente una complicación poco frecuente que surge al inicio del tratamiento con neurolépticos de acción prolongada y que constituye una urgencia psiquiátrica por el elevado riesgo de suicidio que comporta. Dicha delimitación se basa en la revisión bibliográfica y en cuatro casos aportados por el autor comentándose el cuadro clínico, diagnóstico diferencial y su tratamiento.
