Dragana M. KLJAJIKJ,Sanja M. TRGOVCHEVIKJ,Radmila M. NIKIKJ
Journal of Special Education and Rehabilitation , 2012,
Abstract: Interpersonal communication, psychosocial and mental development of personality and its all other functions take place through the motor control. The most common neurological syndrome is a type of peripheral paresis/paralysis of plexus bracialis, which in most cases occurs at birth and significantly compromises the growth and development of the upper extremities and affects the psychomotor performance. The aim of this study was to evaluate the level of visual perception in children with lesion of plexus brachialis and the effect of the somatopedic treatment over the level of increase of the visual perception. The study sample was consisted of 60 preschool children accommodated at the Rehabilitation Centre “Dr. Miroslav Zotovi ” in Belgrade (experimental group) and examiners that followed regular checkups and had discontinuity in their therapy (control group). For the research purposes, we used The Test for Visual Perception Assessment. By analyzing the results, we concluded that in both, in the first and the second measuring there was a statistically significant correlation between the experimental and the control groups (I measuring: p<0.001, r = 0.408; II measuring: p <0.001, r = 0.593).
Daily life in the enclave Vitina

Glasnik Etnografskog Instituta SANU , 2005, DOI: 10.2298/gei0553083z
Abstract: The paper is based on a fieldwork performed in 2003 in the enclave Vitina, Kosovo. The aim of the paper is to provide an ethnographic brief account of the post-war daily life in the researched area. Since 1999 and the establishment of the international protectorate over the area, the enclave’s daily life has changed profoundly. The people from Vitina are very much concerned about their daily troubles, especially the ones involving the relationship with the Albanian population. The daily life in Vitina is saturated with the war related traumas, existential insecurity and unpredictability, experiences of ghetto, paralyzed everyday life, and the time that appears to stand still. The Kosovo area is characterized by especially complex historical, political and cultural contexts. It is a borderline area, so identities seem to be undefined, varying, ambivalent and situational. In the last decades of the 20th century, the identities became homogenous, developing fixed boundaries. The ethnic identification thus becomes more relevant than any other membership or affiliation. A need to designate and preserve an ethnic identity in Kosovo has lead to a paroxysm. The dominant, Albanian population displays its ethnic symbols openly, while the Serbs demonstrate their symbols more alluringly but with the same amount of fervor. The ethnicity is being articulated in everyday life, in different answers to its requirements and challenges while a daily life is usually equalized with privacy and female sphere, therefore, the paper also discusses a relationship between the ethnic and gender identities.
Vasilica and self-determination of Roma

Glasnik Etnografskog Instituta SANU , 2004, DOI: 10.2298/gei0452155z
Abstract: Vasilica and ur evdan are the two most important holidays in the yearly cycle among the Roma of Vranje (Southern Serbia). While they connect the celebration of ur evdan (6th of May) mainly with the culture of the Serbian majority group (whose elements they assimilate, giving them a specific interpretation), Vasilica is considered to be a true Roma holiday. During the discussions, all the informants emphasized that Vasilica is the most important Roma holiday, more significant than ur evdan. Vasilica consists of two segments. The date of the first one, which can be called the preparation, greeting and celebration of Vasilica, is a fixed one (from 12th to 17th of January, 14th of January being the actual holiday), while the date of the second segment -farewell to the goose - is set individually by every household. This paper offers a thick description of both segments of Vasilica, depicting the way it has been celebrated between 2001 and 2004 in the settlements Gornja ar ija and Sarajina of Vranje. It also includes selected statements of the informants, as well as the text of the local TV broadcast dedicated to the celebration of Vasilica. The different explanations of the origin of this most important Roma holiday, in light of the current identity problems in Serbia - both of the majority and of the minority group - point to the complexity and polysemy of the answer to the question: Who am I? The aim of this paper is to offer an empirical insight into the situation.

Crime victims in the criminal justice system
?opi? Sanja M.
Temida , 2003, DOI: 10.2298/tem0301019c
Abstract: Negative social reaction and inadequate reaction of the agencies of the formal control on the primary victimization is leading to the so called secondary victimization that can be a source of trauma and frustration as much as the primary victimization. Due to that, relation of the police and the judiciary towards the crime victims is of a great importance regarding victims’ willingness to report the victimization, their confidence in these agencies, and cooperation during clearing up the crime. In order to realize the victim’s position in the criminal justice system, this paper contains an overview of how the police, prosecutor’s office and courts are functioning. The paper is based on the interviews made with the representatives of these state agencies, as well as on the previous knowledge and realized surveys concerning this topic. The aim of the paper is to emphasize the position and the role of the victim support service in the system of the state intervention, based upon the obtained data, as well as to give some basic information on how victims could report the crime, what are their rights and duties, what can they expect from the competent agencies.
Domestic violence in countries of the former Yugoslavia: Review of the most important results of the surveys
?opi? Sanja M.
Temida , 2003, DOI: 10.2298/tem0302017c
Abstract: This paper contains some of the most important results of the survey on domestic violence in Serbia and Macedonia, as well as of the survey on violence against women that was conducted in BH Federation that also contains data about partner violence against women. These surveys have confirmed results of some other researches that domestic violence is one of the most serious but at the same time most hidden forms of victimisation. It represents the manifestation of power and control over the victim, leading to a loss of trust and threatening the safety domain. Women and children are the most affected by this form of victimization, while in most of the cases men are perpetrators. Bearing that in mind, the aim of the paper is to, on the basis of the analysis of survey results, point out the prevalence structure and some characteristics of domestic violence in the pos-war societies of the former Yugoslavia, with a particular emphasis of the impact of economy crisis and war on this issue.

Balcanica , 2002, DOI: 10.2298/balc0233061p
Abstract: The theme of rape in the decorative program of the stela of M. Valerius Speratus from Viminacium and his wife Lucia Aphrodisia is expressed in the composition of the Rape of Kore and the Rape of Europa. This paper attempts to understand the said myths and their pictorial representations as funeral symbols of the after-death journey of the soul. Possible geopolitical meaning of the myth of the Rape of Europa has also been taken into consideration. The stela from Viminacium have also been viewed in relation to the monuments with the similar representations in the neighboring Danubian provinces.
