Research on a Relationship between Patient Satisfaction and Medical Services in State Health Organizations  [PDF]

Abstract: This research has been applied to the patients who were getting treatment in a state hospital and the perception of patients about hospital services and satisfaction has been examined. The 150 applied surveys were created using the SERFPERF scales and interviewed and implemented by the patients. As a result of the analysis, it was found that there is a positive relationship between medical service and patient satisfaction: Pre-service and physical services and examination services have a meaningful impact on patient satisfaction.

Abstract: In this study, antioxidant, cytotoxic, larvicidal, antimicrobial and anthelmintic effects and phenolic contents of ethanol, methanol and acetone extracts of leaf and tuber parts of Cyclamen alpinum were investigated. DPPH, ABTS, β-carotene assays were carried out in antioxidant activity and total phenolic and flavonoid contents were tested in determination assay. 9 phenolic contents were determined by HPLC. Artemia salina was used in the cytotoxic effect. Larvicidal effect was investigated against Culex pipiens. Disc diffusion method was used in antimicrobial effect. The tuber part was found to be more toxic than the leaf part in the anthelmintic activity assay. The highest value obtained from the antioxidant activity experiment was observed with value of 86.73 ± 0.16 (%) in DPPH assay. The lowest LC50 value in larvicidal effect was determined 0.151 mg/mL after 72 hours. Consequently, there is need for further studies on the Cyclamen alpinum, which has the ability to fight against diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, etc.

The Gifted Education in Azerbaijan

Abstract: This study explores the Azerbaijan education system, particularly gifted education, its strengths and weaknesses during the Soviet regime and after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Further, the study discusses the nature and intent of current legislations, programs and practices regarding the education of gifted children in Azerbaijan. The study addresses the technique of textual analysis that was applied in analyzing and synthesizing the data that was collected from documents, official reports, books, peer-reviewed articles, ERIC tools, newspapers and journals. Findings indicate that there are serious problems with the Azerbaijan education system including the organization of schooling of gifted students. There is a lack of systematic effort for differentiated education catering to the needs of this population. Moreover, the lack of standards and measurements for the identification of gifted children is another essential issue which needs urgent solution.

Abstract: Individual movements of a rod-like self-propelled particle on a flat substrate are quantified. Biological systems that fit into this description may be the Gram-negative delta-proteobacterium Myxococcus xanthus, Gram-negative bacterium Escherichia coli, and Mitochondria. There are also non-living analogues such as vibrated polar granulates and self-driven anisotropic colloidal particles. For that we study the Brownian motion of an asymmetric rod-like rigid particle self-propelled at a fixed speed along its long axis in two dimensions. The motion of such a particle in a uniform external potential field is also considered. The theoretical model presented here is anticipated to better describe individual cell motion as well as intracellular transport in 2D than previous models.
A New Full-NT-Step Infeasible Interior-Point Algorithm for SDP Based on a Specific Kernel Function  [PDF]

Abstract: In this paper, we propose a new infeasible interior-point algorithm with full NesterovTodd (NT) steps for semidefinite programming (SDP). The main iteration consists of a feasibility step and several centrality steps. We used a specific kernel function to induce the feasibility step. The analysis is more simplified. The iteration bound coincides with the currently best known bound for infeasible interior-point methods.
Legal Aspects of the Nagorno-Garabagh Conflict

Abstract: The Nagorno-Garabagh conflict has been going on since 1988. The conflict between Armenia (although it denies its involvement in the conflict claiming that it is just “an interested party”) and Azerbaijan is considered to be the most important conflict in the South Caucasus. Though the object of this conflict is Nagorno-Garabagh Autonomous Region (the region was called so as an administrative-territorial area during the Soviet time), seven other districts of Azerbaijan which have nothing common with this autonomous region are also occupied by the Armed Forces of Armenia. So, as a result of the conflict approximately 20% of the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan is still under occupation and more than one million Azerbaijanis have become refugees and internally displaced persons. In May 1994 the parties concluded cease-fire agreement which is still in force today. The Republic of Azerbaijan states that Armenia should be recognized as an aggressor according to the Charter of the UN, but it is not the case yet. The Republic of Armenia claims that the Armenians of Nagorno-Garabagh are entitled to secede from Azerbaijan and build their own state on the base of the self-determination principle of international law. Now the Minsk Group of the OSCE is exercizing a mediation function between the parties to the conflict. No political agreement on the settlement of the conflict has been achieved yet.

Abstract: Bilayer graphene is a highly promising material for electronic and optoelectronic applications since it is supporting massive Dirac fermions with a tuneable band gap. However, no consistent picture of the gap's effect on the optical and transport behavior has emerged so far, and it has been proposed that the insulating nature of the gap could be compromised by unavoidable structural defects, by topological in-gap states, or that the electronic structure could be altogether changed by many-body effects. Here we directly follow the excited carriers in bilayer graphene on a femtosecond time scale, using ultrafast time- and angle-resolved photoemission. We find a behavior consistent with a single-particle band gap. Compared to monolayer graphene, the existence of this band gap leads to an increased carrier lifetime in the minimum of the lowest conduction band. This is in sharp contrast to the second sub-state of the conduction band, in which the excited electrons decay through fast, phonon-assisted inter-band transitions.

Abstract: As a result of analysis of the existent methods and tools of computer aided design of the technical systems of many industrial areas, the primary purpose of the article that consists in the decision of different project problems within the framework of one programmatic system with the use of comfortable programmatic interface is certain. Architecture of the program interface for computer designing and option of technical systems of different industrial areas on the basis of stage-by-stage automated designing principles with using programmatic and informative supports is worked out. In the article, the problem of computer designing, searching and option of elements of manipulator for flexible manufacture module is considered. As a method of logical simulation of the problem, production model of designing procedures of the program interface and intelligence option of a manipulator, its technical parameters are developed. On the basis of algorithmic scheme of searching, the option of a manipulator from data base is worked out.
Predicting and controlling the dynamics of infectious diseases

Abstract: This paper introduces a new optimal control model to describe and control the dynamics of infectious diseases. In the present model, the average time of isolation (i.e. hospitalization) of infectious population is the main time-dependent parameter that defines the spread of infection. All the preventive measures aim to decrease the average time of isolation under given constraints.
