De Cadernos de Educa o Especial a Revista Educa o Especial: uma análise dos últimos 5 anos (2002 - 2006)

Abstract: O presente artigo é o relato de uma pesquisa realizada em um periódico na área de Educa o Especial. O objetivo da pesquisa foi descrever o perfil geral de um periódico na área da Educa o Especial, o periódico escolhido foi: a "Revista Educa o Especial". Assim, para iniciarmos o trabalho realizamos um mapeamento do número de volumes, de artigos e de páginas dos últimos cinco anos (2002 - 2006), para dar seguimento da atividade realizamos a análise a partir de três variáveis: Palavras-chave, autores e tipos de artigos. No período analisado foram 10 volumes, 41 institui es, 108 artigos, 186 autores e 348 palavras-chaves. Alguns resultados: 1) As temáticas predominantes no período foram: Inclus o e Altas Habilidades/ Superdota o; 2) A maioria dos autores é do Rio Grande do Sul; 82 autores s o da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria; 3) 50 trabalhos foram publicados individualmente; 4) 60 dos 108 artigos s o relatos de pesquisa, e 40 artigos s o teóricos. Assim, conseguimos ter uma vis o geral da revista nos últimos 5 anos, destacando as tendências de pesquisa e publica o nesse periódico, destacando a relevancia desse periódico no atual cenário da Educa o Especial no país. Abstract: PLANT RESIDUES INCORPORATION EFFECTS ONPHYSICAL AND MECHANICAL CHARACTERISTICSOF SOIL-CEMENT MIXTURES FOR AGRICULTURALBUILDINGS PURPOSESThe aim of this research was to evaluate the effect of riceand Brachiaria brizantha husks on physical and mechanicalproperties of soil-cement mixtures and, consequently, to analysetheir technical feasibility to manufacture alternative buildingmaterials for agricultural purposes. Husks were ground, sieved,and treated in lime solution and soil submitted to characterisationtests according to Brazilian standards. The plant residues wereadded in substitution to the cement. The cement content andresidues ranged from 100% of cement and 0% of waste, to 60%of cement and 40% of waste. Following, cylindrical specimenswere molded and submitted to compression test at 7, 28, and 56days, and water absorption test seven days from molding. Theresults showed that the mixtures obtained from the partialsubstitution of cement by 10% waste are technically feasible asraw materials for constructive elements manufacturing withoutstructural function, such as bricks and blocks, for agriculturalbuildings.

Abstract: O presente trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o efeito da adi o da casca de arroz e da casca da semente do capim braquiária, sobre as propriedades físico-mecanicas de misturas de solo-cimento e conseqüente análise de sua viabilidade técnica com vistas à fabrica o de materiais de constru o alternativos para fins rurais. Para tal, os resíduos foram triturados, peneirados e tratados em solu o de cal e o solo submetido aos ensaios de caracteriza o segundo normas brasileiras. Os resíduos foram adicionados em substitui o ao cimento, variando os teores de cimento e de resíduo vegetal desde 100% de cimento e 0% de resíduo, até 60% de cimento e 40% de resíduo. Posteriormente foram moldados corpos-de-prova cilíndricos que foram submetidos aos ensaios de compress o simples, aos sete, 28 e 56 dias, e de capacidade de absor o de água, aos sete dias da moldagem. Após análise dos resultados, p de-se concluir que as misturas obtidas a partir da substitui o parcial do cimento por 10% de resíduos mostram-se viáveis como matéria-prima na fabrica o de elementos construtivos n o estruturais, tais como, blocos e tijolos prensados, destinados às constru es e instala es rurais. Doutor em Antropologia Social pela UFRJ (1984), fez pós-doutorado na Université de Paris X (1989). é professor de etnologia no Museu Nacional/UFRJ desde 1978 (Professor titular desde 2011) e membro da Equipe de Recherche en EthnologieAméricaniste do C.N.R.S. desde 2001. Foi Simón Bolívar Professor ofLatin American Studies na Universidade de Cambridge (1997-98); directeur de recherches no C.N.R.S. (1999-2001); professor-visitante nas Universidades de Chicago (1991, 2004), Manchester (1994), USP (2003), UFMG (2005-06). Abstract: The sesame crop is usually avoided in salt-affected areas because of the various effects of saline stress on plants. Besides varying between species, salinity effects are known to vary for genotypes of the same species as well as plant development stages. Thus, through the irrigation of plants with saline water, this study evaluates tolerance to saline stress of new sesame genotypes in different phenological stages. Three experiments were carried out under greenhouse conditions, using the sesame genotypes BRS Seda, LAG-927561 and LAG-26514. Water with different levels of electrical conductivity (ECw = 0.6, 1.6, 2.6, 3.6 and 4.6 dS m-1) was used to irrigate plants during germination and initial growth stages, as well as the entire crop cycle. Tolerance to saline stress (3.6 dS m-1) during growth and production stages was also studied. Salinity did not affect sesame germination, but seedling growth was hindered from the ECw of 1.6 dS m-1 onwards, and plant height was the most affected growth variable. Seed production is affected by salinity, regardless of the phenological stage in which plants are exposed to salinity. The strains LAG-927561 and LAG-26514 show promising signs in studies on adaptation to saline stress.

Abstract: teachers' psychological distress has been widely studied in the literature, concerning several factors. this paper investigates the impact of children′s aggression in classroom as a source of teachers' distress. twelve public school teachers from s?o paulo city were interviewed - 11 female and 1 male - distributed according to three different stages of the career: initial (1 to 6 years), intermediate (12 to 18 years) and final phase (last 5 years of the career). the interviews were recorded, transcribed and data were categorized considering the simple frequency of occurrence. data analysis revealed different perceptions of classroom aggression, feelings and management strategies, depending on the phase of the teaching career. from these findings, it was possible to reflect and to present some considerations for outlining preventive interventions.

Abstract: the participation of all people, parents, children and teachers, involved in children aggressiveness in the school environment is needed to study the phenomenon. this approach has been undertaken through a larger research, including current study, which focuses on the teacher's point of view. teachers' conceptions and attitudes about children aggressive expressions in school are investigated. a qualitative assessment was undertaken. it comprised individual semi-directed interviews with 15 teachers of a public school in a low-income population suburb in s?o paulo sp brazil. most cited aggressive attitudes include revolt and physical aggression among students. the latter complaint is the main reason that motivates teachers to send children to play-therapy. conflict administration strategies involve dialogue and comprehension. data suggest that concern by the teacher on children still exists in whom they hope to obtain attention and care.
Quantitative Evaluation of Inflammatory Response in Rats Submitted to the Abdominal Wall Surgery Using Peritoneum of Paca Preserved in 300% Supersaturated Solution of Sucrose or 98% Glycerin  [PDF]

Abstract: This study aimed to quantitative evaluate the implantation of paca’s peritoneum, a new biomaterial option, preserved in 300% supersaturated sugar solution or 98% glycerin on the abdominal wall of Wistar rats. 60 males, weighing between 150 and 200 g, are organized into the following experimental groups: control group (GI); group peritoneum preserved in 300% supersaturated sugar solution (GII); and group peritoneum preserved in 98% glycerin (GIII). Each group had 20 animals. Five rats from each group underwent euthanasia at four different moments: 7th, 15th, 30th, and 60th post-operatory day for histological and stereological evaluations of the graft/native tissue interface. On histological examination, one found out an extensive presence of inflammatory infiltrate at the early periods (7th and 15th day) and an extensive presence of connective tissue at the late moments (30th and 60th day). Through stereological analysis, one found out that the number of mononuclear cells decreased throughout the evaluation moments. One concluded that the paca’s peritoneum as a biological membrane preserved in 98% glycerin, when implanted on the abdominal wall of rats, microscopically allowed one to obtain, through stereological analyses, a lower inflammatory response than the paca’s peritoneum preserved in 300% supersaturated sugar solution.
