Case Reports in Endocrinology , 2014, DOI: 10.1155/2014/206890
Abstract: Objective. Oncocytomas of the adrenal cortex are usually benign and nonfunctional. They are rarely seen as the cause of hirsutism. Therefore, we aimed to report a case of adrenocortical oncocytoma presenting with hirsutism. Methods. We report a testosterone- and cortisol-secreting adrenal oncocytoma in a 23-year-old female patient presenting with hirsutism. Results. The patient had the complaint of hirsutism for the last year. Laboratory tests revealed total testosterone level of 4.2?ng/mL, free testosterone of >100?pg/mL, and DHEAS level of 574?μg/dL. There was no suppression in cortisol levels with 2?mg dexamethasone suppression test (5.4?μg/dL). Adrenal MRI revealed a ?mm isointense solid mass lesion in the left adrenal gland and the patient underwent laparoscopic left adrenalectomy. Pathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of benign adrenocortical oncoyctoma. Conclusion. This well-characterized case describes a testosterone- and cortisol-secreting adrenocortical oncocytoma as a possible cause of hirsutism. To our knowledge, this is the second report in the literature. Adrenal oncocytomas should always be considered in the differential diagnosis of hirsutism. 1. Introduction Hirsutism, defined as excessive male-pattern hair growth, affects between 5 and 10% of women of reproductive age and most women with hirsutism have polycystic ovary syndrome [1, 2]. Androgen-secreting tumors are rarely seen as the cause of hirsutism. In an epidemiological study, the frequency of androgen-secreting tumors was 0.2% in 950 hirsute women [3]. Most testosterone-secreting tumors arise from the ovary and rarely origins from the adrenal gland. Oncocytic neoplasms or oncocytomas usually arise in the kidneys or thyroid, parathyroid, salivary, or pituitary glands [4]. Oncocytomas of the adrenal cortex are extremely rare and usually detected incidentally [5]. Adrenal oncocytomas are usually benign and nonfunctional in most of cases. Herein, we report a testosterone- and cortisol-secreting adrenal oncocytoma in a 23-year-old female patient presenting with hirsutism. 2. Case Report A 23-year-old female patient admitted to endocrinology outpatient clinic with the complaint of hirsutism for the last year. Excessive hair growth was identified to originate from facial and mandibular areas initially and then to spread to abdominal and thoracic regions. She had regular menstrual cycles since her first period by the age of 12. Medical background and family history were unremarkable. Physical examination revealed that body temperature was 37°C, pulse rate was 80 beats/min,
On Certain Properties of Trigonometrically ρ-Convex Functions  [PDF]
Mohamed Sabri Salem Ali
Advances in Pure Mathematics (APM) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/apm.2012.25047
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to prove that the average function of a trigonometrically ρ-convex function is trigonometrically ρ-convex. Furthermore, we show the existence of support curves implies the trigonometric ρ-convexity, and prove an extremum property of this function.
Fuel Saving and Control for Hybrid Electric Powertrains  [PDF]
Mohamed Zaher, Sabri Cetinkunt
Energy and Power Engineering (EPE) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/epe.2013.55035
Abstract:

This paper focuses on comparing the performance of the embedded control of a hybrid powertrain with the original and downsized engine. The main idea is to store the normally wasted mechanical regenerative energy in energy storage devices for later usage. The regenerative energy recovery opportunity exists in any condition where the speed of motion is in the opposite direction to the applied force or torque. A rule based optimal robust control algorithm is developed and is tuned for different work cycles. A comparison of the fuel savings using the hybrid system with the original and downsized engines is performed.

International Journal of Intelligence Science (IJIS) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/ijis.2013.33015
Abstract:

There are few changes that took place in Iraqin many fields during the past few years; the financial aspect is one of the fields that undergone this change. The change has positive impact because it increases the revenue inIraqfrom the oil exports. The National Insurance Company is one of many companies that belongs to the Ministry of Finance inIraqand has affected directly from this change in term of increasing the number of the insurers which we will discuss in this research. The aim of this research is to forecast the insurance premiums revenue of the National Insurance Company between the years 2012 to 2053 using Artificial Neural Network based on the actual annual data of the insurance premiums revenue between the years 1970 to 2011. The data analyses results of this research show that the growth indicator of the insurance premiums revenue for the next 41 years is approximately 120%, the Mean Squared Error is the average squared difference between outputs and targets. Lower values are better. Zero means no error and the regression values are very high. The estimations and forecasts of the insurance premiums revenue using Artificial Neural Network confirmed to be strong and useful to deploy it for forecasting the insurance premiums revenue.

A Data Mining Model by Using ANN for Predicting Real Estate Market: Comparative Study  [PDF]
Itedal Sabri Hashim Bahia
International Journal of Intelligence Science (IJIS) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/ijis.2013.34017
Abstract:

This paper aims to demonstrate the importance and possible value of housing predictive power which provides independent real estate market forecasts on home prices by using data mining tasks. A (FFBP) network model and (CFBP) network model are one of these tasks used in this research to compare results of them. We estimate the median value of owner occupied homes in Boston suburbs given 13 neighborhood attributes. An estimator can be found by fitting the inputs and targets. This data set has 506 samples. ousing inputs” is a 13 × 506 matrix. Thehousing targets is a 1 × 506 matrix of median values of owner-occupied homes in $1000’s. The result in this paper concludes that which one of the two networks appears to be a better indicator of the output data to target data network structure than maximizing predict. The CFBP network which is the best result from the Output_network for all samples are found from the equation output = 0.95 * Target + 1.2. The regression

Consumer’s Purchase Intention towards Luxury Retailer’s Social Media Advertisements —A Case Study of a Shoe Retail—UAE-Dubai Mall  [PDF]
Eman Reda Sabri
Social Networking (SN) , 2019, DOI: 10.4236/sn.2019.81003
Abstract:
Digital marketing is considered the preferred method comparing to traditional marketing nowadays [1], but is it true for luxury and expensive products? Since the perception prevails that the concepts “luxury” and “digital” are quite incompatible [2], this paper aims to explore the effectiveness of digital marketing advertisements of luxury retailers, while also exploring consumer’s purchasing intent based on the viewing of such promotions. The overall goal is to provide a model of luxury purchase behaviour through harnessing social media. As a constructionist ontology-based researcher, I believe in multiple versions of reality which can evolve based on my target consumer experiences [3]. My epistemological stance is interpretivism with a subjective approach, inductively interacting with consumers to better understand what this “truth” means to them, incorporating textual material to support the analytical interpretations [4]. It is hoped this paper will inform fashion brands marketers about social media practice to achieve creation of purchase intention and ultimately achieve target sales. The paper is useful to both practitioners and academics in the fields of social media marketing and purchase intention. The research provides some initial insights into consumer perspectives of social media ads and online purchase behaviour.
A Cultural E-Government Readiness Model  [PDF]
Alia Sabri, Omar Sabri, Bassam Al-Shargabi
Intelligent Information Management (IIM) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/iim.2012.45031
Abstract: E-Government is defined as a system utilizing the Internet and the world-wide-web for delivering government informa-tion and services to citizens. This system reduces the processing costs, improves service delivery, and increases trans-parency and communication between a government and its citizens. The aim of this paper is to propose a new model to measure the readiness of e-Government according to cultural factors. By assessing to which degree these cultural factors are present/absent in a country and which of them have a significant impact on government readiness, the government will be able to identify their weakness and strength points, then build a preparing plan that can help them to achieve the readiness required toward a successful implementation of the e-Government systems.

Necessary and Sufficient Conditions Where One Γ-Semigroup is a Γ-Group
Sabri Sadiku
Journal of Modern Mathematics and Statistics , 2012, DOI: 10.3923/jmmstat.2010.44.49
Abstract: In this study, researchers have studied the Γ-algebraic structures and some characteristics of them. According to Sen and Saha, we defined algebraic structures: Γ-semigroup, Γ-regular semigroup, Γ-idempotent semigroup, Γ-invers semigroup and Γ-group. Theorem 2, 3 and 4 proves the existence of Γ-group and gives necessary and sufficient conditions where one Γ-semigroup is a Γ-group. Finally, theorem 5 shows necessary and sufficient conditions where one Γ-regular semigroup is a Γ-group. In addition, for every Γ- algebraic structure that we mentioned before we give an original example.
In the center of the Sino-Indian economical and strategical interests, western sanctions against the Burmese military junta appear ineffective. While the ONU makeefforts to establish a dialogue, the dictatorship seems to reinforce itself. Partly because of the divisions in the international scene, the road to democratization remains far away for the Burmesemilitary society.
