Analysis of Total Suspended Particulates Pollution Along Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway  [PDF]

Abstract: The paper takes the Shanghai-Nanjing expressway as the research subject and takes the samples of the Total Suspended Particulates (TSP) on both sides of the highway as samples to analyze the pollution and the pattern of pollution distribution. The study shows that the concentration of TSP is very high, even six times of the national limit value.
The Effects of Colostrum on Gastrointestinal Function and Related Diseases in Premature Infants: A Comprehensive Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials  [PDF]

Abstract: Aim: To systematically evaluate the effects of colostrum intervention on gas-trointestinal function and related diseases in premature infants. Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted in the Cochrane Library, PubMed, EBSCO, CINAHL, Embase, Medline, CBMDISC, CNKI, Wan Fang and VIP databases on the effects of colostrum and oral intervention on gastrointestinal function and related diseases in premature infants. Literature screening, quality evaluation and data extraction were conducted, and data analysis was conducted using Revman 5.3. Results: A total of 7 references were included, including 392 subjects. The combined results showed that: colostrum can effectively reduce the incidence of nosocomial infection [RR = 0.42, 95% CI (0.25, 0.73), P = 0.002]. Conclusion: Colostrums oral intervention can effectively reduce the incidence of nosocomial infection in premature infants. However, there was no advantage in feeding intolerance, necrotizing enters colitis and length of hospital stay.
University Soft Power: Meaning and Strategy of Construction from the Perspective of “Harmony” Culture

Abstract: University management contains the construction and promotion of soft power, which needs the support of excellent culture. The study of Chinese universities’ soft power should be placed under the vision of Chinese traditional culture. As the quintessence of Chinese traditional culture, the “harmony” culture- the ideological origin of the modern management, bears the characteristics of inclusiveness in spiritual realm, morality in judging the right and the wrong, development in value-orientation, and the balance in achieving methods, etc.. The construction of university soft power under the vision of “harmony” culture meets the demand to unify the overall characteristics of the Chinese traditional culture and the integrated layout of soft power construction, and also meets the requirement to fulfill the value of Chinese traditional culture with cultural consciousness, thus can realize the combination of cultural value of “harmony” with university value’s rebuilding, helps to exert university’s function. On the strategy of university soft power construction, it needs to answer the fundamental questions such as “meanings of university”, “functions of university”, “aims of university” by rebuilding university spirit, inheriting and guiding advanced culture, elaborating “tsuneyo and full utility” in present circumstances under the guidance of “harmony” culture. Abstract: We study an elliptic boundary-value problem with singular nonlinearity via the method of monotone iteration scheme: $$displaylines{ -Delta u(x)=f(x,u(x)),quad x in Omega,cr u(x)=phi(x),quad x in partial Omega , }$$ where $Delta$ is the Laplacian operator, $Omega$ is a bounded domain in $mathbb{R}^{N}$, $N geq 2$, $phi geq 0$ may take the value 0 on $partialOmega$, and $f(x,s)$ is possibly singular near $s=0$. We prove the existence and the uniqueness of positive solutions under a set of hypotheses that do not make neither monotonicity nor strict positivity assumption on $f(x,s)$ which improvements of some previous results.

Abstract: The impact of large-scale grid-connected wind farms of Doubly-fed Induction Generator (DFIG) type on power system transient stability is elaborately discussed in this paper. In accordance with an equivalent generator/converter model, the comprehensive numerical simulations with multiple wind farms of DFIG type involved are carried out to reveal the impact of wind farm on dynamic behavior of existing interconnected power system. Different load models involving nonlinear load model and induction motor model are considered during simulations. Finally, some preliminary conclusions are summarized and discussed.
Low Pressure Catalytic Combustion of Hydrogen on Palladium  [PDF]

Exhausts of airship fabric bag in the stratosphere such as hydrogen which can be used for fuels by using catalytic combustion method. This can save the extra fuels used in the power system. Pd/γ- Al2O3 catalyst was prepared in this work by impregnation method and the H2 catalytic combustion reaction kinetic was investigated between the pressure of 3.6 kPa and 101.3 kPa. The effects of temperature, pressure and gas composition ratio were studied in the paper. According to the experiment results, the increase of temperature increases the H2 conversion. The parameter pressure has a positive effect on H2 reaction kinetics and low concentration of H2 in mixtures shows better performance. The dependence of temperature on H2 reaction rate becomes more sensitive in high pressure.

Abstract: The Markov prediction model is the basis of Web prefetching and personalized recommendation. It can be used to extract connotative Web link hierarchy. The visualized site structure can not only help users understand the relationships between the pages they have visited, but also suggest where they can go next. But the existence of a large amount of Web objects results in data redundancy and model hugeness. Therefore, how to mine and improve the link structure of a website has become a chief problem and it has positive meanings for prefetching.
Characterizing PM2.5 Pollution of a Subtropical Metropolitan Area in China  [PDF]

The chemical and physical characteristics of PM2.5, especially their temporal and geographical variations, have been explored in metropolitan Hangzhou area (China) by a field campaign from September 2010 to July 2011. Annual average concentrations of PM2.5 and PM10 during non-raining days were 106 - 131 μg.m-3 and 127 - 158 μg.m-3, respectively, at three stations in urban breathing zones, while corresponding concentrations of PM2.5 and PM10 at an urban background station (16 mabove ground level in a park) were 78 and 104 μg.m-3, respectively. For comparison, the annual average PM10 concentration at a suburban station (5 mAGL) was 93 μg.m-3. Detailed chemical analyses were also conducted for all samples collected during the campaign. We found that toxic metals (Cd, As, Pb, Zn, Mo, Cu, Hg) were highly enriched in the breathing zones due to anthropogenic activities, while soluble ions (\"\", \"\",\"\" ) and total carbon accounted for majority of PM2.5 mass. Unlike most areas in China where sulfate was several times of nitrate in fine PM, nitrate was as important as sulfate and highly correlated with ammonium during the campaign. Thus, a historical shift from sulfate-dominant fine PM to nitrate-dominant fine PM was documented.

Abstract: A novel system was proposed for the capture and separation of CO 2 from flue gas. In this method, a resin was employed to regenerate the amine capturing CO 2 from flue gas at room temperature. The feasibility for the resin to regenerate amines such as MEA, MAE, TEA, and ammonia was demonstrated. It was also discovered that the resin could be regenerated by hot water.

Abstract: Markov预测模型是Web预取与个性化推荐技术的基础。大量Web对象的存在使得用户浏览转移状态激增,导致预测模型出现了巨大的空间复杂度问题。基于网站链接结构(WLS),针对Markov预测模型中的转移概率矩阵,提出一种基于行相似与列相似的相似度度量方法。首先计算出相似矩阵,然后利用行相似、列相似获得相似页面并压缩在一起,减小了Markov模型中的状态个数。实验表明,该模型具有较好的整体性能和压缩效果,在预取效率方面能够保持较高的预测准确率和查全率。
