Preparation and Characterization of Apatite Coated Rutile TiO2 Composite Powders

Abstract: The composite of nanocrystalline apatite coated rutile TiO2 was prepared by soaking TiO2 nanosized powders into the simulated body fluid (SBF) at 37 or the different duration times. The as-prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), higha2resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscope, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometer (ICP-AES) and N2 adsorption measurements. XRD result shows that the content of the apatite coated on the rutile TiO2 increases with prolonging the soaking time in the SBF. It is demonstrated that composite powders have included some apatite through the absorption peaks of the O-H and PO43-of the apatite in the FTIR spectrum. ICP-AES result shows that Ca and P concentrations decrease with prolonging the soaking time in SBF. It is evident from the TEM and EDX that there is some apatite coated on the surfaces of the rutile TiO2. HRTEM result indicates that the interplanar spacing of (211) of the apatite is 0.27nm and the diameter of apatite nanoparticles is about 40nm.
Potential Productivity of Light and Heat Resources and Its Utilization in Winter Wheat Field

Abstract: The single structure of wheat colony in Huang-Huai Plain results in a low green coverage during the early and late growth period of wheat.Therefore,there exists a great amount of potential light and heat resources available to crops.It is estimated that the amount of this resources are 30.2-32.23Kcal.cm-2 for light and 819.6-1135.4 C.Day(>0C)for heat respectively with productivity of 950.7-1226.6kg/mu in winter wheat field in Henan Province.Then by changing the planting pattern of winter wheat through intercropped with suitable crops the utilization efficency of solar energy can be significantly increased.

Abstract: 将金红石型TiO2纳米粉体浸泡在模拟体液中, 于37℃经过不同时间, 制备出磷灰石包覆金红石型TiO2纳米粉体. 用XRD、SEM、TEM、EDX、FTIR、ICPAES和BET方法对复合粉体进行了表征, XRD结果表明,磷灰石的含量可随着金红石型TiO2在模拟体液中浸泡时间的延长而增加. FTIR结果中显示了磷灰石的O-H和PO43-吸收峰, 说明复合粉体中有磷灰石存在. ICP-AES结果表明溶液中Ca和P浓度随浸泡时间延长而下降, 表明时间延长后更多的Ca和P被消耗. TEM和EDX结果证明了金红石型TiO2表面有磷灰石存在, HRTEM结果显示磷灰石(211)面的晶格间距为0.27nm, 晶粒尺寸约为40nm.
Preparation of Pt―loaded TiO2 Nanotubes/Nanocrystals Composite Photocatalysts and Their Photocatalytic Properties

Abstract: The composite photocatalysts combining high adsorptive capacity with enhanced photocatalytic efficiency are expected to be more efficient catalysts for the pollutant removal in the wastewater. TiO2 nanotubes (TNTs) were synthesized via hydrothermal method using Degussa P25 titania as raw material. The Pt―loaded TiO2 nanotubes/nanocrystals composite photocatalysts (Pt/TNNs) were prepared via one―step synthesis method involved the vapor phase hydrolysis setup, where TNTs were added into the ethanol solution containing chloroplatinic acid and citric acid (as the reductant). During the water vapor treatment, some of the nanotubes were transformed into anatase TiO2 nanocrystals and a small amount of TNTs were kept as the tubular morphologies, thus the composite had a higher adsorptive capacity. The as―prepared samples were characterized by X―ray diffraction, transmission electron microscope and N2 isothermal adsorption―desorption. Results showed that the Pt nanoparticles with crystallite size of 4 nm were uniformly dispersed onto the surface of remaining TNTs and anatase TiO2 nanocrystals with crystallite size of 8 nm derived from the transformation of TNTs, and the composite photocatalysts kept a specific surface area of more than 216 m2/g. The photocatalytic activity of Pt/TNNs was evaluated by the degradation rate of acid red G (ARG) and methylene blue (MB) under UV irradiation. The results showed that the pristine TNTs had good adsorptive ability but very poor photocatalytic activity. After loading with Pt nanocrystals, Pt/TNNs obtained via water vapor treatment at 120 exhibited much higher photocatalytic efficiency compared with the pristine TNTs.
Chaotic behavior in the dynamical evolution of network traffic flow and its control

Abstract: This paper presents the day-to-day dynamic evolution of network traffic flow in a simple two-route network. Firstly, a day-to-day dynamical assignment model is formulated, which can depict the evolution of network traffic flow. We have proved that the fixed point of the dynamical system, which is the stochastic user equilibrium solution, exists and is unique. Secondly, based on nonlinear dynamics theory, an equilibrium stability condition for the network is derived. Moreover, the evolution of network traffic flow is investigated through numerical experiments. Meanwhile, periodic and chaotic flows are discovered under certain conditions. Finally, a chaotic control method is derived considering OD demand as control variable.
ShRNA-Targeted COMMD7 Suppresses Hepatocellular Carcinoma Growth

Abstract: Background COMMD7 is a newly identified gene overexpressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and associated with tumor invasion and poor prognosis. We aim to examine the biological function of COMMD7 in HCC by shRNA silencing. Methods COMMD7 expressions were examined in human HCC cell lines HepG2, Huh7, Hep3B, HLE, HLF, SK-Hep-1 and PLC/PRF/5 cells. Recombinant pGenesil-COMMD7-shRNA was transfected into COMMD7-abundant HepG2 cells to silence COMMD7 expression. The effects of COMMD7 silencing on HepG2 cell proliferation in vitro and xenograft tumor growth in vivo were evaluated. Flow cytometry profiling was used to detect the presence of apoptosis in COMMD7-silenced HepG2 cells and to differentiate cell cycle distribution. Electrophoretic mobility shift assay and luciferase reporter assays to examine the activities of nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-κB) signaling pathways in response to tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α in COMMD7-silenced HepG2 cells. Results COMMD7 expression level was abundance in HepG2 and SK-Hep-1 cells. COMMD7 was aberrantly overexpressed in HepG2 cells, whilst pGenesil-COMMD7-shRNA exhibited a maximal inhibition rate of 75%. COMMD7 silencing significantly reduced HepG2 cell proliferation and colony formation. The knockdown of COMMD7 resulted in an increased apoptosis and cell cycle arrest at S-phase. COMMD7 knockdown also exhibited an antineoplastic effect in vivo, which manifested as tumor xenograft growth retardation. COMMD7 silencing also suppressed the responsiveness of NF-κB signaling pathway to the stimulation with TNF-α in vitro. Moreover, the similar suppressive effects of COMMD7 silence on SK-Hep-1 cells were also observed. Conclusions COMMD7 contributes to HCC progression by reducing cell apoptosis and overcoming cell cycle arrest. The proliferative and antiapoptotic effects of COMMD7 may be mediated by NF-κB signaling pathway.
First-Principles Calculations of Elastic and Thermal Properties of Molybdenum Disilicide

Abstract: The first-principles plane-wave pseudopotential method using the generalized gradient approximation within the framework of density functional theory is applied to anaylse the equilibrium lattice parameters, six independent elastic constants, bulk moduli, thermal expansions and heat capacities of MoSi2. The quasi-harmonic Debye model, using a set of total energy versus cell volume obtained with the plane-wave pseudopotential method, is applied to the study of the elastic properties, thermodynamic properties and vibrational effects. The calculated zero pressure elastic constants are in overall good agreement with the experimental data. The calculated heat capacities and the thermal expansions agree well with the observed values under ambient conditions and those calculated by others. The results show that the temperature has hardly any effect under high pressure.

Abstract: Accepting bursts with arrival is assumed as a matter of course in many traffic models. In fact, bursts are accepted at slotted time in most communication systems. To what extent the discrepancy makes effect on the model is often an unwitnessed problem by many research of traffic model, accordingly related papers are seldom found. This paper put forword this kind of error, studiedand uncovered it from mathematicview. Further more, based on interrupt Poisson procedure (IPP) model, deduced the dynamic mean traffic expression of slotted IPP and error approximation formulation of IPP. Simulation indicatesthat the theoretic conclusion has high accordance with simulation results and has higher precision than IPP.
