Isotretinoin was tested for treatment of acne from 1982 and nowadays is used for treatment of a wide number of skin alterations. Among the recommendations of the American Academy of Dermatology Consensus Conference is included the non-use of this treatment in pregnant women, however, it is not mentioned the potential risks in sexual and reproductive men health, group in which is commonly used for treatment of acne.

Abstract: the objective of this study was to compare the presence of anti-β2 glycoprotein (anti-β2gpi) antibodies with the conventional laboratory tests of anticardiolipin antibodies (acl) and lupus anticoagulant and with the clinical manifestations of the antiphospholipid syndrome (aps). in this study 80 women with aps (35 from the rheumatology service and 45 with a history of recurrent spontaneous abortion, rsa) were included, as well as 5 women with rheumatic diseases but no aps, 27 rsa-women without aps and 20 healthy women in their reproductive age. the presence of igg and igm anticardiolipin antibodies (acl), anti-β2gpi antibodies by elisa method and lupus anticoagulant by the test of activated partial thromboplastin time was investigated. additionally the clinical manifestations associated to aps were registered. in the group of women with aps, 25.7% (9/35) of those with rheumatic diseases and 4.4% /2/45) of the ones with rsa were positive for anti-β2gpi while none of the women without aps or the controls had such positive reaction. there was a significant association at titers of 3+ (highly positive) between the presence of anti-β2gpi antibodies and igg and igm acl in contrast to anti-β2gpi-negative individuals. the positivity of lupus anticoagulant also correlated with the presence of anti-β2gpi antibodies. there was no significant correlation between any specific clinical manifestation and the presence of anti-β2gpi antibodies. in conclusion, the determination of anti-β2gpi antibodies was highly specific in patients with aps but did not associate with any clinical manifestation of the syndrome.
Del dicho al hecho: transformaciones sociales y urbanas en Bogotá (1988-2008)
Pea Frade Ruth Nayibe

Abstract: This text is a reflection of the realization of the dreams of thosemore than eight million Americans of Hispanic origin, which include all the legal Mexican immigrant population, and displayed less real situation of many men and women of Hispanic origin in illegal or integration process in the U.S. Thus, we will focus on Chicano cinema, social cinema and Hollywood cinema, and finally deal with the presence of Hispanic culture in some mythical movies in cinema history. We study how specific social and cultural problems posed by Mexican immigration in the United States is addressed in the film written, directed and produced by Hispanics and other filmmakers of the Hollywood industry. Moreover we revise how Hispanics get involved in the industry: especially to three groups: first, theactors because they often play the role of Hispanic, or to see what role is given both social and starring (if it is considered a hero or a villain, and see what social level holds), second, the directors and third, the producers.

PEA,TELMO E.; ROBAYO,BEATRIZ H;
Revista Latinoamericana de Psicología , 2007,
Abstract: on the 50th anniversary of the publication of skinner′s verbal behavior, we analyse the main contents of this book in which language phenomena are presented from an operant conditioning viewpoint. some of the reasons why the skinnerian analysis of language has been neglected among behavior analysts and other scholars of linguistic phenomena are discussed. they include chomsky′s criticism of verbal behavior, difficulties to develop an empirical research program based on skinnerian categories of verbal behavior, and conceptual difficulties implied in the interpretation of verbal behavior as a special class of operant behavior. the skinnerian analysis of verbal behaviour is a fundamental background to analyse linguistic phenomena from a non mentalistic and functional perspective. recent behavior analysis proposals such as relational frames theory (hayes y cols, 2001), or the analysis of language from a interbehavioral framework (ribes, 1990, 1999) use skinner?s proposal as the reference point.

Food and Nutrition Sciences (FNS) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/fns.2017.89062
Abstract: In Mexico maize (Zea mays L.) is an important cereal due to excellent taste and nutritional value. Nutritional content and fatty acid profile has been reported in white maize, however, there are several genotypes natives (red, yellow, black, blue, pinto), and many improved hybrids maize of which little is known. Fumonisins and aflatoxins are mycotoxins present in 25% of the world’s cereals, mainly in tropical and subtropical regions around the world. This study presents the analysis of proximate composition (ash, protein, lipids), as well as mycotoxins (fumonisins and aflatoxins) and five different fatty acids, two of saturated fatty acids (palmitic and stearic) and three of polyunsaturated fatty acids (oleic, linoleic and linolenic), evaluated by Gas Chromatography and Flame Detector (GC-DF). Thirty varieties of maize (native and hybrid maize) were collected in states of central region. The total fumonisins were determined using the QuickTox TM extraction and quantificated by QuickScan fumonisins; the aflatoxins were analyzed by commercial ELISA kit. The highest protein level was 10.43 g/100g, 5.63 g/100g for fat, 1.62 g/100g for ash in hybrid maize. In native maize, the highest levels of protein and ash were 10.94 g/100g and 1.45 g/100g for pinto maize. The higher value for fat was 5.45 g/100g in yellow maize. The palmitic and stearic acids, in native maize were higher that hybrid maize, for linoleic acid and linoleinic fatty with a significant difference between native corn. Fumonisins and aflatoxins were contaminated in all genotypes of maize, in allow levels. This information obtained may be considered in maize breeding programs, industrialization processes and healthy diets.
