The application of hidden markov model in building genetic regulatory network  [PDF]

Abstract: The research hotspot in post-genomic era is from sequence to function. Building genetic regulatory network (GRN) can help to understand the regulatory mechanism between genes and the function of organisms. Probabilistic GRN has been paid more attention recently. This paper discusses the Hidden Markov Model (HMM) approach served as a tool to build GRN. Different genes with similar expression levels are considered as different states during training HMM. The probable regulatory genes of target genes can be found out through the resulting states transition matrix and the determinate regulatory functions can be predicted using nonlinear regression algorithm. The experiments on artificial and real-life datasets show the effectiveness of HMM in building GRN.

Abstract: This paper studied the interpretation method of realization of data mining for large-scale petrophysical data, which took distributed architecture, cloud computing technology and B/S mode referred to big data technology and data mining methods. Based on petrophysical data mining application of K-means clustering analysis, it elaborated the practical significance of application association with big data technology in well logging field, which also provided a scientific reference for logging interpretation work and data analysis and processing method to broaden the application.

Abstract: A modified function projective synchronization (MFPS) scheme for different dimension fractional-order chaotic systems is presented via fractional order derivative. The synchronization scheme, based on stability theory of nonlinear fractional-order systems, is theoretically rigorous. The numerical simulations demonstrate the validity and feasibility of the proposed method.

Abstract: An adaptive tracking control scheme is presented for fractional-order chaotic systems with uncertain parameter. It is theoretically proved that this approach can make the uncertain parameter fractional-order chaotic system track any given reference signal and the uncertain system parameter is estimated through the adaptive tracking control process. Furthermore, the reference signal may belong to other integer-orders chaotic system or belong to different fractional-order chaotic system with different fractional orders. Two examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. 1. Introduction In nonlinear science, chaos synchronization is a hot topic, which has attracted much attention from scientists and engineers. In the past decades [1–13], various methodologies in control of chaotic system have been proposed, such as variable structure control approach, adaptive control approach, and time-delay feedback control. Up to date, the interest of the scientific community and engineering technological applications in controlling chaotic dynamics has increased after the development of the approach of “tracking,” which can be used to follow an unstable fixed point or an unstable periodic orbit embedded or an arbitrary given reference signal in different dynamical regimes [3, 8–11]. In electronic and laser systems, the experiments on tracking the unstable periodic orbits and steady states were carried out [12, 13]. Some researchers design a controller based on the reference signal and make the output of the chaotic system follow the given reference signal successfully [10, 11]. However, many existed tracking control methods mainly focus on chaotic systems of integer orders [11, 14–17]. Up to now, there have been only a few papers on tracking control for fractional-order chaotic systems [18, 19]. In [18], tracking control of the fractional-order hyper-chaotic Lü system was reported, in which all the system parameters were exactly known. In [19], an adaptive tracking control of the fractional-order hyper-chaotic Lorenz system with unknown parameters was also reported. But, the tracking control methods in [18, 19] were unusual and only suited for specific fractional-order chaotic system, and the given reference signals do not belong to different fractional-order chaotic systems. Abstract: The unstable equilibrium points of the fractional-order Lorenz chaotic system can be controlled via fractional-order derivative, and chaos synchronization for the fractional-order Lorenz chaotic system can be achieved via fractional-order derivative. The control and synchronization technique, based on stability theory of fractional-order systems, is simple and theoretically rigorous. The numerical simulations demonstrate the validity and feasibility of the proposed method.

Abstract: A novel sewage-sludge derived composite material was developed for the adsorptive removal of organic pollutants from water. In this study a batch adsorption study was carried out to examine the kinetics of antibiotics adsorption by this composite material. A pseudo-second order kinetics model fits the data extremely well, suggesting that chemical adsorption, rather than physical adsorption, is likely the main mechanism of the separation process.
Embedded System Implementation of Airborne Communication Terminals  [PDF]

Airborne communication terminal is a key unit in Ad hoc network of aircrafts. This paper mainly focuses on its implementation by embedded system, which is based on Samsung S3C2410 chip. System architecture, Linux tailoring and touch-screen driver design are discussed in detail. Considering the requirements of stability and efficiency of the operating system, dynamic driver-loading method was employed firstly and only the necessary library files were transplanted to assist and test. The drivers finally were directly put into kernel configuration and then an integrated kernel was transplanted. Regarding to the problem of positioning issues on touch-screen, which is implemented in this system, an accurate positioning method is also presented.

With the continuous development of urban distribution network, most of the distribution network has formed a dual power supply mode. The traditional way of distribution network load operating mainly adopts the power method, while satisfied the requirements of the safety of power grid, but will cause external short time power outages, poor user experience, realizing the distribution network outage rearrangement of load is a necessary means to improve power supply reliability. This paper presents mathematical model of load transfer in distribution network. The differences of voltage of amplitude and phase angle on both sides are calculated by the power flow. According to the differential pressure to determine whether the loop can be closed at the loop operation, thereby improving the success rate of operation.
Least-Squares Parameter Estimation Algorithm for a Class of Input Nonlinear Systems

Abstract: This paper studies least-squares parameter estimation algorithms for input nonlinear systems, including the input nonlinear controlled autoregressive (IN-CAR) model and the input nonlinear controlled autoregressive autoregressive moving average (IN-CARARMA) model. The basic idea is to obtain linear-in-parameters models by overparameterizing such nonlinear systems and to use the least-squares algorithm to estimate the unknown parameter vectors. It is proved that the parameter estimates consistently converge to their true values under the persistent excitation condition. A simulation example is provided.
