CONSIDERATIONS ON REORGANIZATION. A COMPARISON OF REORGANIZATION RATES IN EASTERN EUROPE
Moldovan Rucsandra Livia,Achim Sorin Adrian
Annals of the University of Oradea : Economic Science , 2009,
Abstract: In our paper, we discuss reorganization from two points of view: its purpose and the choice between reorganization and liquidation, by reviewing the existing literature. After setting an appropriate theoretical base for interpretation, we focus on compari
FIGHTING THE ENEMY OF FAIR VIEW PRINCIPLE – GETTING TO KNOW CREATIVE ACCOUNTING
Rucsandra Livia MOLDOVAN,Sorin Adrian ACHIM,Cristina BOTA-AVRAM
Scientific Annals of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi : Economic Sciences Series , 2010,
Abstract: In this paper, we aim to discuss the role of creative accounting as a technique of accounts manipulation in contrast with the fundamental principle of accounting – fair view presentation, and the ethics of the accounting profession. In order to do so, we review the opinions of various authors on the subject while contrasting both fraud and professional ethics with creative accounting, and explaining the inverse causal relationship that arises between creative accounting and fair view principle. Further on, we determine what the role of auditors and corporate governance is in winning the fight over this kind of accounting practices. The study of previous literature is meant to be the basis for some possible comprehensive solutions we put forward that, from the point of view of accounts manipulation, would help achieve the transparency and trustworthiness that financial reporting deserves. When we propose these solutions, our main focus is on Romania. However, by extension, they could be applied anywhere else.
ALIGNING OBJECTIVES, TEACHING AND ASSESMENT – CREATING A COURSE DESIGN
MUTIU ALEXANDRA,Moldovan Rucsandra
Annals of the University of Oradea : Economic Science , 2010,
Abstract: In this research paper we described the existing relation between the controllable components of the current learning context (CLC) which leads us to Biggs’s aligned system of instruction. We tried to shape the CLC components in order to increase the CLC effectiveness. We succeed to do this through the curriculum we build, which was created based on Bloom’s taxonomy and critical thinking approach of teaching. The importance of the research consists in offering our perspective on the alignment process between objectives, teaching and assessment through the course design we created.
The epidermal study of sweet chestnut-tree Leaf (Castanea sativa Mill.)
I. MOLDOVAN,Aurelia MOLDOVAN
Notulae Botanicae Horti Agrobotanici Cluj-Napoca , 1992,
Abstract: This paper is part of a broader study on the ontogenetic evolution of C. sativa. On detached epidermis, obtained by different methods, the following structural aspects have been studied: the shape and size of the cells of each sample and their number on surface unity, the type of stomata, the size of stomata, the number of stomata on surface unity and the stomatic index. At the same time remarks have been made concerning the protecting and secretive hairs of each sample.
Spectrophotometric determination of nitrite by its catalytic effect on the oxidation of congo red with bromate
Zenovia Moldovan
Bulletin of the Chemical Society of Ethiopia , 2012,
Abstract: A novel simple, sensitive and rapid kinetic-spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace amounts of nitrite is proposed. The method is based on its catalytic effect on the oxidation of congo red (CR) by potassium bromate in acidic solution. The oxidation reaction is monitored spectrophotometrically by measuring the decrease in the absorbance of CR at a suitable λmax= 570 nm for the first 10–40 s from the start of the reaction. Under the optimum experimental conditions (sulfuric acid, 0.3 M; CR, 0.75x10-4 M; potassium bromate, 5x10-4 M and 25 oC), nitrite can be determined in the range of 0.015–0.75 μg mL 1 with the detection limit of 0.006 μg mL 1. The relative standard deviation of five replicate determination of 0.25 μg mL 1 nitrite was 2.5%. The proposed method was applied satisfactorily to the determination of nitrite in spiked drinking water samples. Electronic properties of (Zn,Co)O systems probed by scanning tunnelling spectroscopy
L. Moldovan
Journal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering , 2008,
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to gain insight into theelectronic properties of (Zn,Co)O system - a widebandgap Diluted Magnetic Semiconductors (DMS)showing room temperature (RT) ferromagnetism undern-type doping conditions. On the experimental side, ultrahigh-vacuum scanning tunnelling microscopy andspectroscopy (STM and STS) at variable temperature (T)are used to probe the local electronic structure of thesystem. It is presented the map of the local density ofstates (LDOS) of polar ZnO surfaces. Then, it is possibleto decorate (incorporate) Co atoms onto (into) thesemiconductor.
An elusive partnership. The Orthodox Church and the substance abuse health care system in Romania
Sebastian MOLDOVAN
Social Research Reports , 2013,
Abstract: This article is part of a research dedicated to the participation of religious communities in the advancement of the system of services provided for the persons suffering from substance use disorders in Romania. The first part presents an epidemiologic image of alcohol consumption and the amount of attention paid to it in the national anti-drug strategy. The second part summarizes the problematics of the contributions brought by faith-based organisations to public health, particularly in the field of substance use disorders and addictive behaviours, and describes some of the Romanian Orthodox Church sponsored initiatives in the domain. The promises and uncertainties of an inchoative partnership between the Church and the National Anti-drug Agency are scrutinized through documentary analysis in the final part.
2D Hole System Characterization by T/TF Dependence of Electrical Resistivity
L. Moldovan
Journal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering , 2009,
Abstract: The paper presents an experimental setup design for two-dimensional (2D) systems characterization at ultra low-temperature. The electrical resistivity can be measured for variable density of carriers. The resistivity measurements were done for different densities and shows the influence of finite-temperature over the behavior for an 2DHS confined in GaAs.
MUTTON MEAT MARKET IN ROMANIA – A POST-ACCESSION ANALYSIS
MINODORA MOLDOVAN
Lucr?ri ?tiin?ifice : Management Agricol , 2009,
Abstract: The paper investigates the changes that have been produced in the sheep and goat meat sector in the pre- and post-accession period, from farm to trade and final consumption. In the year 2007, there was an obvious increase in the number of slaughtered animals and of meat production. This positive trend was supported by the direct payments received for the sheep and goat farms, as well as by the subsidies provided for sheep breeding in the direction of increasing the meat production. In the year 2007 the exports of live young rams increased, mainly to EU countries.
Therapeutic Considerations and Recovery in Low Back Pain: Williams vs McKenzie
Mircea MOLDOVAN
Timisoara Physical Education and Rehabilitation Journal , 2012, DOI: 10.2478/v10325-012-0009-5
Abstract: Low back pain (LBP) is one of the most common muskuloscheletal disorders. It is associated with high costs in medical assistance and indirect losses through temporary work incapacity. Therefore, it represents a challenge for medical practice. There are many types of treatments and recommendations depending on doctors’ knowledge and opinions, but two protocols stand out due to their “popularity”: the Williams and McKenzie protocols. Given the duration of flares and relapses rate, it is important to apply an efficient and lasting treatment. This is why the aim of the present study is to compare these two protocols, McKenzie and Williams, in terms of principles and exercises, in order to reveal wich one is more suitable in LBP recovery. In the end, the McKenzie protocol proved to be superior to the Williams program in terms of pain relief, lumbar mobility and number of sessions needed to recover. Another finding was that the two programs are not totally contradictory, but they are just applied in different stages of the LBP syndrome, depending on several anatomical and pathological factors.
