THE CITY IMAGE AND THE LOCAL PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION: A WORKING TOOL IN URBAN PLANNING
Marius Cristian NEACU
Transylvanian Review of Administrative Sciences , 2009,
Abstract: The goal of this study consist of identifying and testing in operational terms the concept of city image in the decision-making processes, both as far as the urban planning and the future policies of local and regional development are concerned or in the management of public spaces. It is well-known the fact that the simple series of statistical data and the models based upon them do not sketch out a complete image regarding the urban reality, the perception of habitants at a micro-scale level about habituation conditions, illustrated by the city image, presenting itself as a barometer of the dysfunctionalities encountered in the city. Thus, the practical implications of this concept based on a new vision in the philosophy of the management of urban spaces are likely to be interesting enough. Using this tool in the policies and in the activity of public administration, in urbanism etc., complementarily to statistical analyses, should accompany any type of local development policy in order to enhance life quality and to transmit a certain life style, well appreciated by the residents which should bestow the city distinctiveness and a particular status in the regional and national hierarchy. The conceptual scheme of this study is based on three elements: theory (what does the city image represent?), method (how could we map at a micro-scale level?), case study (which are the results and the tests of the applicability in the city of Ploie ti).
CALCULATION OF THE DOSE RATE IN AN EXTERNAL POINT OF A CYLINDRICAL GAMMA RADIOACTIVE SOURCE
M. Contineanu,?. Peri?anu,Ana Neacu
Analele Universitatii Bucuresti : Chimie , 2010,
Abstract: In this paper basic formulas are developed for the calculation of the absorbed dose rate outside of a gamma radiation source of an empty cylinder shape. The dose rate was calculated in an arbitrary point assuming a uniform distribution of the radionuclide inside the source and neglecting the attenuation build-up factor and self-absorption.
INTERNATIONAL NEGOCIATIONS AND TRADE POLICY.
Alina HAGIU,M?d?lina NEACU
Scientific Annals of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi : Economic Sciences Series , 2008,
Abstract: Globalization is a reality of the contemporary world. It has among others, an important economic dimension given by: the extension of the international economic trade and economic cooperation; the creation of some good and services global markets; the creation of some global power centers; the apparition and the development of some forms of economic integration. The globalization process which increased the counties dependence of the international trade is accelerated by the mutations which took place in the majority of countries. The communism collapse conduced to the gradual adopting of the policies orientated toward the market in the majority of countries in which the production and the exterior trade were controlled by the state. Those countries, which in the past were doing trade only with each other, today do more and more trade on a worldly base. For the regulation of the international trade and the development of a loyal competition were constituted international economic organizations. The results until now show that for some countries or economic entities, the globalization process was benefic and for others had negative consequences. For Romania this period of transition, the extension of international economic relationships is a major subject.
The advantages of global standardization
Madar, A.,Neacu, A. N.
Bulletin of the Transilvania University of Brasov. Series V : Economic Sciences , 2010,
Abstract: The standardization strategy implies the adoption of a unique market policy or the regional homogenization of the international products development programmes. On the international level, the literary sense of standardization of 100 % uniformity is used only in several exceptional situations, in all external market. Many companies gain a lot of benefits as a consequence of standardization their products components simultaneously with the same capacity to adapt the final product to each market consumer segment. Different companies have different levels of standardization, but in few cases it could be 100% standardized product.
The role of water in food products
Neacu, A. N.,Madar, A.
Bulletin of the Transilvania University of Brasov. Series V : Economic Sciences , 2011,
Abstract: Food is an indispensable factor for humans and animals, because it provides the energy and substances necessary for developing the metabolic processes, which generate the body’s growth. It is the source and regulator of exchange processes between the body and the environment. Since ancient times man has received the necessary nutrients from the environment but the operation and maintenance of the body physiology constantly needs energy. In this work we focus on the chemical composition of food, and more specifically, on the amount of water contained in food products (humidity), as a factor influencing the stability and quality of food products.
Consumer protection against aggressive selling
Neacu, A. N.,Madar, A.
Bulletin of the Transilvania University of Brasov. Series V : Economic Sciences , 2011,
Abstract: Aggressive selling is selling method which consists in using a series of aggressive techniques of negotiation – the proposal to by an unnecessary product, or “charging” the client with supplementary quantities of commodities, over his needs. In our days, the companies spend each year, a lot of money to initiate their sell agents in the selling art. Unfortunately, these manipulation techniques are not prohibited by law, so we have to keep our eyes wide open and try to keep our independent thinking.
