Rossel C.,Katherine; Carre?o,Tamara; Maldonado,María Estela;
Revista chilena de pediatría , 2002, DOI: 10.4067/S0370-41062002000100004
Abstract: introduction: prematurity distorts the normal expectations of parents in relation to the birth of their child. objectives: to describe the emotions, feelings and knowledge of the parents towards their premature baby during their hospitalization. patients and methods: using an open, voluntary personalized and anonymous questionnaire the objectives were measured. results: between 1998 and 1999, 40 mothers were interviewed, 25% were primigravid and 60% under 30 years. average birth weight was 1068 + 353gm, with 29 + 0.8 weeks of gestation. memories of labour provoked anguish, anger and frustration in 77%, including longer than 4 weeks afterwards. hospitalization generated fear, especially in regards to death, but in time the mothers became optimistic and happy although with uncertainty about the future of their children (80%). the most rewarding experience was to be able to participate actively in the care of their children (79%). conclusions: knowing the emotional burden of these mothers imposes the task of designing and applying strategies of parental support, e.g. promote the participation of in the care of their baby in order to diminish feelings of guilt and pain, to improve self-esteem and to enjoy motherhood
Un mundo desconocido Affectivity in mothers of hospitalized premature babies: an unknown world

Electrical current distribution across a metal-insulator-metal structure during bistable switching
C. Rossel,G. I. Meijer,D. Bremaud,D. Widmer
Physics , 2001, DOI: 10.1063/1.1389522
Abstract: Combining scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electron-beam-induced current (EBIC) imaging with transport measurements, it is shown that the current flowing across a two-terminal oxide-based capacitor-like structure is preferentially confined in areas localized at defects. As the thin-film device switches between two different resistance states, the distribution and intensity of the current paths, appearing as bright spots, change. This implies that switching and memory effects are mainly determined by the conducting properties along such paths. A model based on the storage and release of charge carriers within the insulator seems adequate to explain the observed memory effect.
Aproximación al psicodiagnóstico de Rorschach infantil
Zoila Rossel

Comment on ``Evolution from BCS Superconductivity to Bose-Einstein Condensation: Role of the Parameter $k_{\rm F} ξ$ in Interpreting the Experimental Plot by Uemura et al.''}

Abstract: The problem of crossover from BCS to Bose-Einstein condensation has recently attracted considerable interest owing to the discovery of high-$T_{\rm c}$ cuprates. Their short coherence length, $\xi$, places these materials in the interesting region between BCS and Bose-Einstein condensation. In the paper of F. Pistolesi and G.C. Strinati (Phys. Rev. B {\bf 49}, 6356 (1994)), the Nozi\`eres and Schmitt-Rink approach (NSR) is taken, which is valid for the weak coupling regime. They derive a relation between $T_{\rm c}$ and $T_{\rm F}$, which they insist is valid for any coupling strength. We present arguments that their assumptions are incorrect by using our fully self-consistent T-matrix formalism in two dimensions, and show that the NSR approach produces unphysical results in this case.
Confluenze. Rivista di Studi Iberoamericani , 2011,
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to investigate the mechanisms of literary productization of territorial identity by allegorical means. This implicates a detailed analysis on the relationship between literature and market as well as the one between collective psychology and the ways it is exploited by perpetuating trauma with the final goal of generating a static product of an “other” identity by using an external canon as guidance. Keywords: Identity, territorial, productization, trauma, market.
