Ang Dalumat ng Panahon at Espasyo sa Mga Traki ng Dulangan Manobo

Abstract: This paper introduces the duyuy nga traki “narrative chants” of the Dulangan Manobo, one of the least-documented subtribes of the large Manobo tribe inhabiting most of Mindanao. It attempts an interpretation of their concept of time and space as expressed, implicitly or explicitly, in these traki. The empirical bases for these interpretations are cultural, political and historical data, which are woven into theanalyses. Contemporary data include the tribe’s attempts to assert their Ancestral Domain Claims. Their creation myth, trickster tale, origin stories, etiological legends about natural formations, etc. are interpreted in the light of their economic system and the shifts from one occupational practice to another; historical experiences, such as the coming of outsiders, viz., the Muslims, Americans and homesteaders; and the politics of their location.The narrative chants were recorded in the original Manobo while an interpreter translated these line-by-line into Hiligaynon, which I then translated in Filipino. The narrative chants presented in this paper are the translations into Filipino. This research was conducted in the municipality of Kulaman and the village of Todog, both in the province of Sultan Kudarat. Two weeklong visits were made by this writer to these areas in October 2002 and May 2003, primarily to record the duyuy nga traki performed by Baha Lambay Beliyan, and to interact informally with the Dulangans.
Meta-análisis sobre la implantacion de sistemas de planificación de recursos empresariales (ERP)

Abstract: the study presents a systematic literature review on the implementation of erp systems. the analyses are based on 168 articles published in isi journals. firstly, the course of investigation on the phenomenon is investigated. then, methodologies under use are specified in the analysis: field work - statistical technique and variables; case studies - the type of design and study problem; conceptual works - their impact on literature. additionally, critical success factors proposed for the implementation of erp systems are summarized. lastly, with the purpose of supporting the development of future assumptions, some conclusions are provided on the scientific background for the study. a general analysis concludes that publications on erp system implementation show a clear expansion trend, and are concentrated in information system journals. empirical studies are privileged, with case studies used more frequently. organizations under study are usually multinationals in the industrial sector. based on that review, one concludes that: 1- organization size plays a key role in erp systems implementation; 2- the factors that affect late erp adoption differ from those that affect early implementation; 3- cultural collision can be felt at erp implementation; 4- diligent studies on success factors in erp implementation are few in number; 5- there is not one single dimension to measure erp system success.

Abstract: The strategic alliances are a phenomenon that has experienced a great increase in the last years. The reasons are the changes that the international environment is producing. That is to say, the globalization process determines the creation of alliances, becoming an essential element to create and to maintain advantages competitive. The international context is where the culture plays an important role as inside of the relations that are established in the international strategic alliances. The main goal of our paper is to identify groups of alliances according to the relational elements that characterize them. We have left from the model proposed by Hunt and other (2002), on which we have created a set of hypothesis. They have been sustained in the relational variables and that have been tested in a sample of Spanish companies that develop international strategic alliances. We have created three groups depending on the origin of the partner: among Spanish companies to go out to the foreign markets, Spanish companies with European partner and Spanish companies with partner from outside EU. The ANOVA is the statistical tool that allows us to identify significant differences between the groups.
Meta-analysis on the implementation of ERP systems

Abstract: This paper reports a systematic revision of scientific literature about ERP systems implementation. Based in 168 articles published in ISI journals the study makes an analysis set. First, we studied the evolution of the research on the phenomenon. Next, we distinguished according to the used research methodologies, this analysis included: in the field studies, the statistical techniques used and the studied variables; in the case studies, the design type and the study problem; and in the conceptual works its impact in literature. Additionally, we synthesized the critical success factors proposed in ERP systems implementation. Last, and with the intention of giving support to the development of future hypotheses, we given some conclusions on the scientific antecedents found in the study.In a general analysis, we concluded that the publications about ERP systems implementation present a clear tendency of growth and those are concentrated in information systems journals. The empirical studies are preferred, the case study is used most frequently, and normally the studied organizations are great multinationals of the industrial sector. On the other hand, from the revision of the articles, we concluded that, first; the size of the organization has an important role in the ERP systems implementation. Second, the factors that affect the late adoption of an ERP differ from which affects its early adoption. Third, in the implementation of the ERP there is a cultural collision. Fourth, there are few rigorous scientific studies on ERP implementation success factors. Fifth, there is not a single dimension for the ERP system success measurement

Abstract: El trabajo se ocupa de las concepciones de ense anza de profesores universitarios, que se infieren del análisis de sus discursos en clase. Con este propósito se identifican los actos de habla y el tipo de conocimiento implicado en cada uno de ellos. El análisis se lleva a cabo sobre 12 clases desgrabadas de distintos profesorados: matemática, biología y educación física y del área pedagógica. Los resultados muestran diferencias en los actos de habla que se corresponden con las diferencias en las concepciones de ense anza. La ense anza orientada hacia la actividad del docente y la transmisión de conocimientos se llevan a cabo en la clase a través del predominio de actos de habla como expone, indaga, usa recursos didácticos y corrige; en cambio, la ense anza centrada en la actividad del alumno y la facilitación del acceso al conocimiento es la que utiliza entre los actos de habla: indaga, aclara, argumenta. This is a study of the discourse university professors use in their classes. The corpus consists of twelve recorded classes by professors of Math, Biology, Physical Education and the Pedagogical Area. We analyse the speech acts taking place and the kinds of knowledge implied in each of them. Results show differences in the speech acts coinciding with differences in the professors' teaching conceptions as revealed by their answers to a written interview. Professors sustaining conceptions of teaching focussed on teachers' activity and transmission of knowledge use speech acts as expose, inquire, use of didactical resources and correct. In contrast, professors sustaining teaching conceptions focusses in the pupils' activity and facilitation of knowledge use speech acts as inquire, clarify and argue.
Nivel cognoscitivo sobre higiene bucal y gingivitis crónica en adolescentes: Colegio “Presidente Kennedy”. Venezuela. 2006

Abstract: we carried out an observational, descriptive, transversal study with 68 teenagers of the president kennedy college, president kennedy college, community julian blanco, north petare parrish, municipality of sucre, caracas metropolitan district state, in the bolivarian republic of venezuela, during the period from september to december 2006 with the objective of evaluating the cognitive level on oral hygiene and chronic gingivitis in 14-years-old students. a closed questions survey was applied to each of the students. the results of this study showed that 95.6 % of the students questioned about oral hygiene answered incorrectly the question related with the structures included in brushing, and 72.1 % of them answered incorrectly the question related with brushing and the manifestation of gingivitis. 86.6 % of the female teenagers and 50.0 % of the male ones had a medium cognitive level on oral hygiene. the male teenagers had a 52.6 % of inadequate knowledge on chronic gingivitis. it was concluded that there was a medium cognitive level on oral hygiene and an inadequate one among the teenagers (184)

Abstract: an observational, descriptive, transversal study was carried out with 75 9-years-old children studying at president kennedy college, community julian blanco, north petare parrish, municipality of sucre, caracas metropolitan district state, in the bolivarian republic of venezuela, during the period from september to december 2006. the objective of our investigation was determining the cognitive level on oral hygiene and chronic gingivitis these children had. a closed six questions survey was applied to each of the students. the results of the study revealed that 69.3 % of the children asked about oral hygiene answered incorrectly the question about the frequency of brushing, 72 % answered incorrectly the question about the relation of brushing with the manifestation of chronic gingivitis; the male children had scarce knowledge on oral hygiene and gingivitis with 58.9 % and 61.5 % respectively in comparison with female, so we concluded that there was a predominance of an inadequate cognitive level on oral hygiene and chronic gingivitis in the questioned students. Abstract: Se realizó un estudio observacional de tipo descriptivo y corte transversal en 68 adolescentes del Colegio “Presidente Kennedy”, perteneciente a la comunidad Julián Blanco, parroquia Petare Norte, municipio Sucre, estado Distrito Metropolitano de Caracas en la República Bolivariana de Venezuela; en el período comprendido de septiembre a diciembre del 2006 con el objetivo de evaluar el nivel cognoscitivo sobre la higiene bucal y gingivitis crónica en estudiantes de 14 a os de edad. Se aplicó una encuesta con preguntas cerradas de forma individual. Los resultados de este estudio revelaron que el 95.6% de los adolescentes encuestados sobre higiene bucal respondieron de forma incorrecta la pregunta relacionada con estructuras incluidas en el cepillado y el 72.1% de ellos respondieron incorrectamente la pregunta de relación del cepillado con la aparición de la gingivitis. El 86.6 % del sexo femenino y el 50,0% del sexo masculino presentaron un nivel cognoscitivo medio sobre higiene bucal. El sexo masculino presentó un 52.6% de conocimientos inadecuados sobre gingivitis crónica. Se concluyó que hubo un predominio del nivel cognoscitivo medio sobre higiene bucal e inadecuado sobre gingivitis crónica en los adolescentes. Abstract: Se realizó un estudio observacional de tipo descriptivo y de corte transversal en 75 ni os de 9 a os de edad pertenecientes al Colegio “Presidente Kennedy” de la Comunidad Julián Blanco, Parroquia Petare Norte, municipio Sucre, Estado Distrito Metropolitano de Caracas en la República Bolivariana de Venezuela, en el período comprendido de septiembre a diciembre del 2006. El objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar el nivel cognoscitivo sobre higiene bucal y gingivitis crónica que poseían los ni os. Se aplicó una encuesta con seis preguntas cerradas a cada uno de los estudiantes. Los resultados del estudio revelaron que el 69.3 % de los ni os encuestados sobre higiene bucal respondieron de forma incorrecta la pregunta relacionada con frecuencia del cepillado, el 72 % respondió incorrectamente la pregunta de relación del cepillado con la aparición de gingivitis crónica, el sexo masculino presentaba escasos conocimientos respecto a higiene bucal y gingivitis crónica con el 58.9 % y 61.5 % respectivamente en comparación con las féminas, por lo que se concluyó que predominó el nivel cognoscitivo inadecuado sobre higiene bucal y gingivitis crónica en los estudiantes encuestados. Abstract: the objective of this essay is to reflect on picasso's las meninas según velázquez, painted in 1957. we have chosen three moments to develop our thesis: in the first place, we will develop a critical revisión of the classical lectures on las meninas since foucault published his essay in les mots et les choses (1966); secondly, and taking as a starting point rosalind krauss' essay on picasso, the picasso papers, we will read the series as a dialectic of fake and falsification, and finally we will analyze the relationship between form and content through the problem-posing of musical variation. we would like to point out that what is revolutionary in picasso's series is indeed their fake power.
