Javier E. Ortiz Cárdenas,Rogelio Martínez Flores
Reencuentro , 2008,

Abstract: the present study obtained data on the frequency of posttraumatic stress disorder (ptsd) symptoms from a national sample of mexican journalists. the main objective of this exploratory and transversal study was to assess ptsd symptoms, and identify differences by gender (male/female), assignment (journalists who cover drug trafficking news/other journalists), and professional activity (reporter/ photographer). the ptsd checklist-civilian version (pcl-c), and a questionnaire on sociodemographic data were used. the instruments were applied in a national context of war on drugs, in which acts of extreme violence like mass murders, beheadings and skinning are present. results indicate that 35% of the journalists had ptsd symptoms. however, rates of ptsd symptoms in reporters who cover drug war news were significantly higher than in journalists who cover other assignments (p=.03).

Abstract: mexico is one of the main producers of pepper. near 140,000 ha are sown per year and the production rises to 1'180,000 t. in sinaloa near 17,180 ha/per year are sown, with a production of 488,153 t. this crop is a major source of jobs and economic income. with the results of this research, we identified leaf miner species and their population fluctuation in jalape?o pepper at three locations in the north of sinaloa. twenty-nine weekly samplings were done from october 2008 to april 2009. mines were counted leaflets. adult fluctuation was determined with yellow fluorescent impact-traps at the height of the crop and another trap was set at 1.70 m. liriomyza trifolli (burgues) was determined taxonomically by using specialized keys. even though the occurrence of the agromizid miner was observed in flowers and fruits stages of jalape?o pepper plants at the three locations, it was higher in guasave compared to ahome and el fuerte locations. more adult agromizids were observed on the variable high traps than on the 1.70 high ones.

Abstract: objective: to measure the incidence rate and trend of acute leukemia (al) in political districts of mexico city. material and methods: descriptive longitudinal study conducted at six hospitals that care for nearly 97.5% of all cancer cases among children in mexico city. study data were collected in 1995 and 1996, and were analyzed in 1999, at the national medical center "siglo xxi" children's hospital, of the mexican institute for social security. calculations of acute leukemia annual incidence rates, standardized rates, and standardized morbidity rates (smr) with 95% confidence intervals, were obtained for each district. morbidity trends were assessed through average change rates. results: in this study we observed an increasing trend of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (all) incidence in five districts: alvaro obregon, cuauhtemoc, gustavo a. madero, iztacalco, and venustiano carranza. acute myeloblastic leukemia (aml) showed no significantly statistic increase of incidence in any district. aml did show a significant smr in alvaro obregon district (smr= 2.91, 95% ci 1.63 - 4.80). higher smrs were found in the south and southwest areas of the city. conclusions: increasing incidence of all was observed in five districts of mexico city. aml incidence was the highest in alvaro obregon district.
NUEVO CRITERIO INTERPRETATIVO DE LOS DERECHOS FUNDAMENTALES CONFORME A LOS TRATADOS INTERNACIONALES DE DERECHOS HUMANOS EN LA CONSTITUCIóN ESPA OLA
Alejandra Flores Martínez
Cuadernos Electrónicos de Filosofía del Derecho , 2011,
Abstract: RESUMEN. The following lines pretend to argue in light of the Spanish law the existence of legal reasons (valid and sufficient) to classify the international human rights treaties as "interpretive criteria for Fundamental Rights", providing four types of arguments: The first is inferred from the legal nature of treaties as sources of international law and international obligations for the State. The second derives from the automatic incorporation of treaties into national law establishing itself as part of the law. The third is the interpretative guidance that counts with constitutional support in Article 10.2 of the Spanish Constitution. The fourth derives from the failure of the traditional criteria when interpreting the rules of Fundamental Rights.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to evaluate and compare the microleakage and marginal discrepancy of ceramic crown-copings fabricated by three different CAD/CAM systems. Material and methods: Thirty extracted premolars were prepared for complete all-ceramic crowns with: total convergence 10-degree, 2 mm occlusal reduction, 4.5 mm height, 1.3 mm circular reduction and chamfer marginal preparation. They were divided into three groups and each group (n = 10) received a ceramic crown-coping fabricated by one of three CAD/CAM systems: Procera, KaVo Everest and Cerec inLab. The copings were cemented with Panavia F 2.0. After thermal cycling, the teeth were immersed in 2% basic fuchsine dye for 24 hours. Microleakage was scored using a five-point scale and evaluated under a stereomicroscope at ×18. Marginal discrepancies were assessed with scanning electronic microscope at ×150, with measurements at 50 different points. Data were subjected to a chisquare test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and using Rho Spearman’s correlation test (P < 0.05). Results: Cerec inLab CAD/CAM crown-copings showed significant microleakage compared to Procera and KaVo Everest (P = 0.031). No significant differences were observed between Procera and the KaVo Everest system (P > 0.05). No significant differences were found in marginal discrepancies for the Procera (62.58 ± 8.98 μm) and KaVo Everest systems (65.54 ± 18.56 μm), (P = 0.941). Significant differences were found for Cerec inLab (132.18 ± 27.75 μm) compared with Procera and KaVo Everest (P = 0.0001). No correlation between the marginal discrepancies and microleakage for the three CAD/CAM crown-copings systems. Conclusions: Cerec inLab CAD/CAM crown-copings showed significantly higher values for microleakage and marginal discrepancy in comparison with Procera and KaVo Everest CAD/CAM crown-copings.
