Abstract: fluvial systems of central chile show seasonal variations in: caudal, temperature and conductivity. this has influenced the ichthic native fauna, which has been characterized as primitive, with a low number of genera and species. the coexistence on native and exotic fishes in the maule river, chile (35°43°s;71°05°w), is registered since the beginning of the xx century; system in which the ecological interactions between these species have not been adequately evaluated. for this, in between two different seasons of the year 1988, four different locations were selected in the andean zone of the maule river and its tributaries. the ichthic fauna was obtained using total census, with electrofishing equipment, stomach contents of 142 specimens of oncorhynchus mykiss, basilichthys australis and salmo trutta were analized. the principal diet of the fishes analysed was basically benthic organisms, where chironomidae, ephemoroptera and trichoptera were the predominant. horn°s index was used to compare trophic niche overlap among species, finding a high overlap index in all seasons and locations. niche overlap and benthic diversity showed a negative relationship, this may indicate changes in the intensity of ecological interactions caused by changes in the gradient of resources

The comparison of two Montpellier churches, Saint-Fran ois and Sainte-Thérèse, reveals something of the principles which have guided protection policies for contemporary architecture in the Languedoc region. Although these two churches were built by the same architect, they show a spirit and stylistic references which are very different. Designed in a new context for church building, that of the separation of church and state in early 20th-century France, these two private constructions are unlike earlier conventual or parish buildings, in terms of the personality of their commissioning clients, their architect and their new functions, as well as in the style of their construction.
Deformation of singularities and additive invariants
Georges Comte
Mathematics , 2013,
Abstract: In this survey on local additive invariants of real and complex definable singular germs we systematically present classical or more recent invariants of different nature as emerging from a tame degeneracy principle. For this goal, we associate to a given singular germ a specific deformation family whose geometry degenerates in such a way that it eventually gives rise to a list of invariants attached to this germ. Complex analytic invariants, real curvature invariants and motivic type invariants are encompassed under this point of view. We then explain how all these invariants are related to each other as well as we propose a general conjectural principle explaining why such invariants have to be related. This last principle may appear as the incarnation in definable geometry of deep finiteness results of convex geometry, according to which additive invariants in convex geometry are very few.
L’enceinte gallo-romaine d’Angers devenue cl ture canoniale : transformations, adaptations et déclassement d’une fortification (XIIIe-XVIe siècles)

In Situ : Revue de Patrimoines , 2011, DOI: 10.4000/insitu.169
At Angers, the fortified wall dating from classical times lost its military and defensive vocations when it was included in the city of Saint Louis. Nonetheless, the wall was maintained, restored and its gates guarded up to the end of the Hundred Years’ War. The canons of the cathedral, who made their claustrum of this the wall, lost their fight to keep it in its integrity. Finally, the wall came to be hidden by new buildings and partial destruction of the wall continued up to the beginning of the nineteenth century.

The Marseille Schmidt survey for active star-forming galaxies. I. Data on 92 emission line objects in two fields
C. Surace,G. Comte
Physics , 1998,
Abstract: We present data from a moderately deep spectroscopic Schmidt survey (Blim=17.5) of ``active galaxies'' selected by the presence of emission lines in their spectra and/or their UV excess. The redshift, magnitudes, color and diameter reduction methods have been discussed in a previous paper. Here we explain the emission line equivalent width determination method. 92 emission line objects have been found in two adjacent fields (approximately 50deg^2) in the direction of the south extension of the Virgo cluster. We give a catalog containing positions, photographic R and B magnitudes, U-R colors, effective diameters, redshifts, equivalent widths and intensity ratios of the [OIII]4959,5007, Hbeta and [OII] 3727 emission lines. On these fields, we evaluate the completeness limit of the survey at a pseudo B magnitude value of 15.7.
Rotation of Trajectories of Lipschitz Vector Fields
Georges Comte,Yosef Yomdin
Mathematics , 2006,
Abstract: We prove that in finite time a trajectory of a Lipschitz vector field in $\hbox{\bbbb R}^{\hbox{\tmm n}}$ can not have infinite rotation around a given point. This result extends to the mutual rotation of two trajectories of a field in $\hbox{\bbbb R}^{\hbox{\tmm 3}}$: this rotation is bounded from above on any finite time interval. The bounds we give are only in terms of the Lipschitz constant of the field and the length of the time interval.
Georges Comte,Michel Merle
Mathematics , 2007,
Abstract: For germs of subanalytic sets, we define two finite sequences of new numerical invariants. The first one is obtained by localizing the classical Lipschitz-Killing curvatures, the second one is the real analogue of the evanescent characteristics introduced by M. Kashiwara. We show that each invariant of one sequence is a linear combination of the invariants of the other sequence. We then connect our invariants to the geometry of the discriminants of all dimension. Finally we prove that these invariants are continuous along Verdier strata of a closed subanalytic set.
