Abstract: In this paper, we analyse the concept of functional bidialectalism, pointed as a possible solution for problems related to Portuguese teaching as maternal language in brazilian schools. After that, based on elements from theoretical linguistics and on socio-historical data, we present the differentiation made between pattern norm and standard norm, emphasizing that this fact generates, as a consequence of its ascertainment, the necessity of modifying the concept of functional bidialectalism, for the fact it does not still include this differentiation. Hence, we propose the concept of functional bidialectalism with adjustment – in which the differentiation mentioned above would be already included –, as a manner of correlating it, in a more exact way, to brazilian sociolinguistic reality, because it interferes directly in Portuguese teaching as maternal language.

Abstract: The following article has as its goal creating the basis for the working up of a Linguistic history of the South of Bahia. In order to do it, it is used as its theoretical references the principles from sociolinguistic theory – concerning to its conception of language – and from creolistics – concerning to changes induced by the contact of languages. The obtained results are presented in a proposal of periodization of the linguistic history of the South of Bahia, in a survey of its language and speakers’ synoptic chart, observed in the region throughout its history, and in the trial to explain how took place the changing from a multilingual context, at the colonial period, into a unilingual context, nowadays.
A cartografia e a rela??o pesquisa e vida
Romagnoli, Roberta Carvalho;
Psicologia & Sociedade , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-71822009000200003
Abstract: this article intends to present some reflections on cartography, a research method, based on félix guattari and gilles deleuze's idea, which has been used in field researches in the context of subjectivity studies. initially, some methods of research used in psychology are presented based upon the modern paradigm, sustained by reason, objectivity and truth investigation. after that, we discussed the complexity and the psychology's contemporary dilemma that demands the necessity of other methods, among them the cartography. we concluded that, in an attempt to deal with the complexity, the cartography, based on a squizoanalytical point of view, supports itself on the invention and on the researcher's involvement, connecting research and actual life.
Famílias na rede de saúde mental: um breve estudo esquizoanalítico
Romagnoli, Roberta Carvalho;
Psicologia em Estudo , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-73722006000200009
Abstract: this research studied the dynamics of families dealing with mental issues at 'cersam - teresopolis de betim', a city located in the surroundings of belo horizonte (mg). the samples comprised eight families being assisted by a social program involving mental health and family - programa de extens?o saúde mental e família - in partnership with the town hall of betim and puc- minas (catholic university of minas gerais). data were collected from a family dossier, which showed the following categories: family situation, income, emergency of psychopathology and the family dynamics. the results showed that, a low family income, the chronic nature of the mental disease leading to dependence, the crisis after the disease appeared, and the need for continuous care, are factors that contribute to a existential territory marked by pain and suffering, thus, developing a form of 'existence in group' that finds support in the mental condition.
Breve estudo institucionalista acerca do Programa de Saúde da Família
Romagnoli, Roberta Carvalho;
Saúde e Sociedade , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S0104-12902009000300016
Abstract: this paper intends to present some reflections from an institutionalist perspective about the extension experience of puc-minas university, developed with the psf (programa saúde da família - family health program) in the municipality of betim, a city located in the metropolitan region of belo horizonte (state of minas gerais). the diagnosis was performed to understand the reality of the professional practice of the psf team and the interns' possibilities of action, based on the theoretical framework of institutional analysis proposed by rené lourau. the conclusion is that the conception of an assistance model still connected with the idea of health associated with a physician, the lack of knowledge about the territory, the high usage of medicines, the lack of articulation between mental health care and primary care, the presupposition of hierarchic relationships of knowledge and power, and the difficulty in working with groups hinder the adhesion to the psf model in the daily routine. in this context, discussions are essential so that the psychologists can enter this field, being capable of transforming and inventive practices.
Nuclear-follower foraging associations among Characiformes fishes and Potamotrygonidae rays in clean waters environments of Teles Pires and Xingu rivers basins, Midwest Brazil
Garrone Neto, Domingos;Carvalho, Lucélia Nobre;
Biota Neotropica , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S1676-06032011000400030
Abstract: during under and overwater observations were recorded nuclear-follower foraging associations among three species of characiform fishes - chalceus epakros, hemiodus semitaeniatus and hemiodus unimaculatus - and a freshwater stingray species - potamotrygon orbignyi - in the teles pires and xingu rivers basins, midwest brazil. the teleost fishes were observed closely following the stingrays during the behavior of stirring the substrate to uncover invertebrates, which cause discrete sediment clouds. apparently this sediment perturbation attracts the fishes that approached the foraging stingrays to feed on small preys and other food types exposed this way. this is a typical example of a commensal relationship in which one participant is benefited while the other is unaffected, and represents the second published record of nuclear-follower feeding association between potamotrygonid rays and teleost fishes, demonstrating the potential of naturalistic studies in discovering new interactions involving species of freshwater fish.

Record of cleaning behavior by Platydoras costatus (Siluriformes: Doradidae) in the Amazon Basin, Brazil
Carvalho, Lucélia Nobre;Arruda, Rafael;Zuanon, Jansen;
Neotropical Ichthyology , 2003, DOI: 10.1590/S1679-62252003000200009
Abstract: records of cleaning symbiosis between freshwater fish are scarce. here we report on juvenile catfish, platydoras costatus, cleaning the piscivorous characin hoplias cf. malabaricus in a stream of the rio araguaia drainage in the brazilian amazon. the scarcity of records on cleaning behavior in freshwater systems seems to be in part a consequence of the few observational studies under natural conditions in the neotropics. otherwise, the rareness of this behavior in freshwaters is possibly related to the short evolutionary time available to the fish fauna to develop these complex interactions, when compared to the ocean environment.
Juveniles of the piscivorous dourado Salminus brasiliensis mimic the piraputanga Brycon hilarii as an alternative predation tactic
Bessa, Eduardo;Carvalho, Lucélia Nobre;Sabino, José;Tomazzelli, Paola;
Neotropical Ichthyology , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S1679-62252011005000016
Abstract: in the district of bom jardim, in nobres, mato grosso state, brazil, there are clear water streams originating on karstic terrain. the dourado, salminus brasiliensis, is an apex stalking predator in these streams. in clear waters, where visually oriented prey may perceive predator in advance, surprise is needed for successful attacks. these streams are cohabited by other characiformes, like the frugivorous piraputanga brycon hilarii, which lives in schools and exhibits body colour and shape similar to the dourados. here we describe an alternative predatory tactic for juvenile dourado occurring in headwater streams of the paraguay river basin, in which they act as an aggressive mimic of the piraputanga. based on 43 h of observations in bom jardim, and on additional 11 h in the bodoquena plateau rivers of mato grosso do sul state, we quantified the number of rushes by dourados when they were among piraputangas or foraging alone, and observed the proportion of piraputangas per dourado in multispecific schools. dourados of up to 30 cm total length (tl) stayed among the piraputangas of similar size hiding within the school and going to the periphery of the school before rushing against prey. the dourados exhibited colours similar to the piraputangas. they not only stayed longer among piraputangas (78% of the observation time), but also rushed against prey more often than when foraging alone (53 rushes/h against 14 rushes/h, respectively).
