La integración de los saberes bajo el enfoque deialéctico globalizador: La interdisciplinariedad y transdisciplinariedad en educación

Abstract: this article analyzes the integration of knowledge from the globalizing dialectic approach under two perspectives: interdiscipleness and transdiscipleness in education. the study was supported by the modality of documentary research. among the results it shows: (a) the globalizing dialectic approach applied to education requires the use of a curriculum integrated by projects that help to develop competences in order to understand the reality and its processes from an integral and globalized perspective; (b) it becomes necessary to set out pedagogical strategies that serve to the purpose of the learning processes, the practical experiences, needs and interests of the students in order to strengthen the cognitive and physical structure, gender, critical thinking and socialization. all these aspects can be guaranteed if there is a constant application of a comprehensive evaluation of the processes that develop the necessary competences in the modern world.

Abstract: a review about cellular senescence was made. aging in multicellular complex organisms, such as the mammals leads to distinctive changes in cells and molecules that compromise finally their adequate functioning. many of these changes result from the cellular responses that have evolved to reduce the inevitable impact of endogenous and environmental changes leading finally to the phenotype characteristic of oldness. this means that some cellular changes associated with age may be the result of the activity of genes that were selected because of their beneficial effects at early ages and that, at the same time, present deleterous and poorly selected actions at advanced ages. cell aging may be an example of this phenomenon. it is essential for the viability and the good functioning of young organisms, but it may also contribute to the aging phenotype and to some diseases associated with it. this way, we can say that aging may be the price you have to pay for having an optimum health at early ages of development.
VIMANG, un potencial protector de la peroxidación lipídica en lipoproteínas de baja densidad

Abstract: an investigation was carried out to know if vimang, an extract from the cortex of the stem of mangifera indica l, protects low density lipoproteins from the in vitro oxidation mediated by ions of cu++ . to this end, low density lipoproteins obtained by ultracentrifugation from blood samples of sound volunteers, were oxidized by incubation with cus04 at 37 °c during 3 hours in the presence of different doses of vimang (0.0001-0.1 % w/v), as a model to investigate the antioxidant properties of this product. the lipid peroxidation was measured as reactive substances to tiobarbituric acid, the assayed doses of vimang showed a potent antioxidant action. only the lowest dose allowed a discrete formation of lipid peroxides in low density lipoproteins after 3 hours of incubation on comparing them with the low density lipoproteins controls. the final result is an evidence of the possible use of vimang as an antioxidant in the prevention or delay of atherosclerosis.

Abstract: Se investigó si el VIMANG, un extracto de la corteza del tallo de la Mangifera indica L, protege a las lipoproteínas de baja densidad de la oxidación in vitro mediada por iones de Cu++. Para esto las lipoproteínas de baja densidad obtenidas por ultracentrifugación a partir de muestras de sangre de voluntarios sanos, fueron oxidadas por incubación con CuSO4, a 37 °C durante 3 h, en presencia de diferentes dosis de VIMANG (0,0001-0,1 % w/v), como un modelo para investigar las propiedades antioxidantes de este producto. La peroxidación lipídica fue medida como sustancias reactivas al ácido tiobarbitúrico. Las dosis de VIMANG ensayadas mostraron una acción antioxidante potente. Solo la dosis menor permitió una discreta formación de peróxidos lipídicos en las lipoproteínas de baja densidad al cabo de las 3 h de incubación, al compararse con las lipoproteínas de baja densidad controles. El resultado obtenido constituye una evidencia del posible uso del VIMANG como antioxidante en la prevención o retardo de la aterosclerosis. Abstract: Se realizó una revisión acerca de la senescencia celular. El envejecimiento en organismos complejos multicelulares como los mamíferos comprende cambios distintivos en células y moléculas que comprometen finalmente su adecuada funcionalidad. Muchos de estos cambios se producen como resultado de respuestas celulares, que han evolucionado para reducir el impacto inevitable de insultos tanto endógenos como ambientales y que conducen finalmente al fenotipo característico de la vejez. Debido a que la fuerza de la selección natural disminuye con la edad, es probable que estas respuestas celulares no hayan sido optimizadas durante la evolución para beneficiar a los organismos viejos. Esto quiere decir que algunos cambios celulares asociados a la edad pueden ser el resultado de la actividad de genes que fueron seleccionados por sus efectos beneficiosos en edades tempranas y que a su vez, presentan acciones deletéreas y pobremente seleccionadas en edades avanzadas. La senescencia celular puede ser un ejemplo de este fenómeno. Es esencial para la viabilidad y el buen funcionamiento de los organismos jóvenes, pero puede contribuir al fenotipo envejecido y a algunas enfermedades asociadas a este. De esa forma se puede decir que el envejecimiento podría ser el precio que se paga por una óptima salud en edades tempranas del desarrollo. A review about cellular senescence was made. Abstract: A simple green approach for the production of benzylideneaniline oxides is offered. This contribution was performed via the condensation of phenylhydroxylamine with several aryl aldehydes, in the absence of both catalyst and solvent, and using microwave irradiation as the activating reaction mode. In addition, good yields of the products were achieved in a short time. It is also worth noting that the work-up procedure is simple and the products do not require further purification. Finally, an interesting comparison without the use of microwave irradiation is also discussed.

Abstract: angiogenesis, the growth of new capillaries from pre-existing vessels, is closely related to processes essential for the organism, which are entirely physiological, for example embryogenesis, reproductive cycle, and wound healing, and is also associated with pathological conditions such as tumor progression, metastasis, diabetic retinopathy, hemangioma, arthritis, psoriasis and atherosclerosis, among other chronic diseases. the development of specific anti-angiogenic agents arises as an attractive therapeutic approach to treat cancer and other angiogenesis-dependent diseases. many of these agents are being evaluated in clinical trials and have shown promising antitumor activity. this review attempts to provide a comprehensive overview of key knowledge accumulated on angiogenesis and its role in cancer, including the components of signal transduction pathways that have been explored in this process. additionally, this review focuses on the current approaches for the discovery of new compounds that inhibit angiogenesis, emphasizing on the clinical developmental status of antiangiogenic drugs.

Abstract: Mangifera indica L., en sus diversas partes, constituye una especie ampliamente utilizada en diferentes patologías en la medicina tradicional. En el presente trabajo se presentan diferentes antecedentes de tipo experimental y clínico que constituyen la base de sustentación de un nuevo fitofármaco preparado a partir del extracto de la corteza de Mangifera indica registrado en Cuba bajo la Marca Vimang . Entre sus propiedades farmacológicas más relevantes se encuentran su acción antioxidante, analgésica y anti-inflamatoria. Diferentes estudios clínicos realizados destacan sus efectos terapéuticos: antioxidante en pacientes con VIH-SIDA, contra enfermedades dermatológicas, dolores e inflamaciones locales. Estas propiedades conjuntamente con su bajo índice de toxicidad establecido en estudios de dosis única, dosis repetidas y su falta de genotoxicidad parecen develar un nuevo recurso terapéutico sobre el cual se han centrado los esfuerzos para su evaluación clínica y elucidación de sus mecanismos de acción farmacológicos
