Efeito da maturidade dos ramos na forma??o de mudas de guaco por meio de estaquia
Negrelle, Raquel R. B.;Doni, Maria Elisabete;
Horticultura Brasileira , 2001, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-05362001000300013
Abstract: guaco (mikania glomerata sprenguel) sprout production was studied by the cutting technique using stem cuttings at different developmental phases (phases are defined as hardwood, semi-hardwood, softwood or herbaceous). developmental phases were separated into a total of eight treatments: two kinds of hardwood cuttings - straight and mallet, both without leaves; semi-hardwood, softwood and herbaceous cuttings were tested with and without leaves. these treatments were organized in random blocks, each with four replicates of 10 cuttings. at 45 days, the cutting precocity was evaluated through the criteria: presence of sprouts; length of longest sprout. at 60 days the cutting establishment was re-evaluated with the additional criteria: presence of adventitious roots; dry weights of above-ground and below-ground portions of cuttings. the following characteristics were also examined, with the same experimental design as described above: presence of pre-formed roots; visual estimate of starch concentration (high, medium, low) after treatment with 0.2% lugol; visual estimate of phenol concentration (high, medium, low) after treatment with aqueous 1.0% ferrous chloride. there were significant treatment effects on sprout production. the semi-hardwood branches with leaves were ideal to prepare cuttings because they favor the precocity of sprouts and their establishment.
Natural regeneration in a quaternary coastal plain in southern Brazilian Atlantic Rain forest
Salimon, Cleber Ibraim;Negrelle, Raquel R. B.;
Brazilian Archives of Biology and Technology , 2001, DOI: 10.1590/S1516-89132001000200008
Abstract: composition, structure and dynamics of an eight year old secondary forest was studied at reserva volta velha (26°04's; 48°38'w), southern brazil. a 0.72ha plot was divided into 36 subplots of 20x10m, where all trees/shrubs greater than 1m tall were identified, measured (height/diameter) and evaluated (successional status). the results were: (1) 95 species collected within 68 genera and 44 families; the most species rich families were myrtaceae and asteraceae with 8 species each; (2) the most important species (considering biomass and density) were psidium cattleianum, eupatorium casarettoi, ocotea pulchella and ternstroemia brasiliensis; (3) the most similar area was a fallow abandoned 35 years ago; (4) the higher species diversity were found in border subplots, indicating that most of the species do not tolerate extreme conditions in the center of the opening, and are colonizing the area through the borders.
Vegetation and pollen rain relationship from the tropical Atlantic rain forest in Southern Brazil
Behling, Hermann;Negrelle, Raquel R. B.;
Brazilian Archives of Biology and Technology , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S1516-89132006000500013
Abstract: the relationship between the southern brazilian tropical atlantic lowland rain forest and modern pollen rain was studied by pollen traps. the study was carried out on a one hectare plot undisturbed rain forest of the reserve volta velha and two secondary forests, ± 50 and 7 years old. about 248 identified tree, shrub and herb species (excluding epiphytes) of 50 families were represented by 126 different pollen and spore types (including non-local taxa). the calculated average influx of pollen rain from the native atlantic rain forest was 12465 pollen grains per cm2 and year. the influx from the ± 50 years old and from the 7 years old secondary forest was relatively low (4112 and 3667 grains per cm2 and year, respectively) compared to the undisturbed rain forest. the occurrence of pollen grains of herbs and fern spores were significantly higher in the secondary forests than in the undisturbed rain forest.

Negrelle, Raquel R.B.;Elpo, Eliane R.S.;Rücker, Neusa G.A.;
Horticultura Brasileira , 2005, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-05362005000400033
Abstract: a prospective analysis of the ginger trade chain in paraná state (brazil) is presented, including an overview of the production and commercialization at both international and national levels as well as the characterization of the agricultural community and of the others levels of the trade chain in paraná state, and the main strangulation points at these levels.
Estudo prospectivo da cadeia produtiva do capim-lim?o: estado do Paraná
Gomes, Eliane Carneiro;Rücker, Neusa G. A.;Negrelle, Raquel R. B.;
Revista de Economia e Sociologia Rural , 2004, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-20032004000400009
Abstract: the application of a prospective study to productive chains incorporates several stages like the segmentation of each link, the analysis of institutional and organizational environments to include the chain, the identification of necessities and aspirations of each chain segment and the critical factors for the improvement of performance. thus, regarding the economic importance of production, industrialization and trading of lemon grass, cymbopogon citratus (d.c.) stapf and aiming at an integrated action of the agricultural sector involved, this paper proposes the prospective study of production chain of this species in paraná state, identifying factors and conditioning of quality in each link of production chain. thus the paper presents a view of: the lemon grass agricultural production in paraná and its agricultural production community in paraná; identifying and characterizing other segments of production chain of this species in paraná and finally identifying and analyzing main bottlenecks, absent links and narrows points in the chain segments in the state. the following were identified as major components of the production chain: production unit, the agro-industry, the industry (nutrition, pharmaceutical and chemical) and the inside consumer market (wholesale and retail); thus, cooperating with implementation of political-organizational attitudes among economic agents of public and private sectors involved in the lemon grass production chain, enabling them to develop strategies that increase the competitiveness and expand the market.

Borcioni, Elis;Negrelle, Raquel Rejane Bonato;
Ciência Rural , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-84782012000200014
Abstract: the results of an experimental research evaluating the in vitro growth of zygotic embryos and acclimatization of bocaiuva (acrocomia aculeata) grown under different concentrations (0.00, 0.001, 0.005, 0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5 and 1mg. l-1) of a brassinosteroid analogue (biobras 16?) are presented. the objective was to determine whether the application of 16 biobras ? positively affects the germination of zygotic embryos of acrocomia aculeata and promotes the growth and development of seedlings and thereby affects the number of normal seedlings. the application of biobras 16? did not promote an increase in the percentage of germination but stimulated the formation of normal seedlings. the positive effect of biobras 16? was observed only in the first phase, not observed in other growth stages evaluated.

Abstract: aiming to contribute to the better understanding of the wild harvesting participation in the context of the bromeliads trade, the results from a study focused on: a) identifying and to characterizing the bromeliads wild harvesters (formally and not formally registered) in the state of the paraná; b) identifying and characterizing the harvesting methodologies, preparation and trade routes, and c) surveying the harvesters opinion on the facilities and difficulties of bromeliads wild harvesting are presented. the bromeliads wild harvesting was detected in 12 municipalities at parana state, involving 31 harvester families, most of them concentrated at the coastal zone (n=10) and ortigueira mun. (7). two basic harvester types were identified: resident and opportunist with outstanding differences between them especially related to volume and forms of extraction. a total of 21 bromeliads species were identified as submitted to wild harvesting, being the more frequently collected: vriesea incurvata gaudich. (cited by 90% of the interviewed harvesters), nidularium innocentii lem. (77%), vriesea platynema gaudich. (67%), tillandsia stricta sol. ex ker gawl. (55%) and vriesea carinata wawra (55%).
