Human : Research in Rehabilitation , 2011,
Abstract: In this research has been presented an assessment of safety situation in schools, examined through the attitudes of students and teachers of secondary schools in ve municipalities of Tuzla Canton. The sample consisted of 160 subjects, who for the purposes of this research divided in three subsample: male students, female students and professors. The research was conducted as a questionnaire, where on the posted statements subjects chose one of ve responses on the Likert-type scale. The results of the research showed that subjects generally have unfavorable attitudes about security situation in secondary schools, which makes them feel very insecure. By descriptive analysis, besides these attitudes, it was determined that there are certain differences between the subsamples per individual variables. By analysis of variance, about in uence of different status (student-professor) on the subsamples attitudes about safety in schools, it was determined that these differences were not statistically signi cant at the level p <.05 in results for the three subsample (F =.421, p = .245). In relation on manifested negative attitudes about safety in schools, but also the homogeneity of results, in relation on the total sample of subjects, it is necessary to determine an adequate strategy of action, develop appropriate programs for work with students and make their prompt implementation in order to achieve safer living conditions and work in the school environment.

Abstract: In the action of NATO A-10 airplanes in 1999, the cape Arza, Serbia and Montenegro was contaminated by depleted uranium. The clean-up operations were undertaken at the site, and 242 uranium projectiles and their 49 larger fragments were removed from the cape. That is about 85% of the total number of projectiles by which Arza was contaminated. Here are described details of the applied procedures and results of the soil radioactivity measurements after decontamination.

Journal of Special Education and Rehabilitation , 2012,
Abstract: The primary goal of this research was to ascertain which risk factors could serve as the most precise predictors of violent behaviour among elementary and high-school students. The research was conducted on a sample of 1209 students, between thirteen and seventeen years old, in five cantons of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The risk factors assessment was done by means of SAVRY (Structured Assessment of Violence Risk in Youth), a tool used for gauging the levels of risk factors. With the help of the SPSS 12.0 Statistical Procedures Companion, the collected data was processed by employing regression analysis. The results indicate that the onset of violent behaviour, academic success, inability to concentrate, alcohol abuse, history of domestic violence, as well as parental separation, are the main predictors of violent behaviour among the aforementioned categoryof students. These results form a solid foundation for future planning of treatments and activities with a goal to prevent such behaviour.

Journal of Special Education and Rehabilitation , 2005,
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to examine relations of the school results and family characteristics of the students in the primary school with behaviour disorders. This paper begins with the hypothesis which shows that students with bad school results have very poor family characteristics compared to students with better school results. The sample consisted of 112 students from 6 primary schools, within the municipality of Tuzla. Chi-square test showed three variables statistically important: mother's education, father's education, and socio-economic conditions in the family. The achieved results have shown that the educational inferiority of the parents and the poor socio-economic situation of the family have big influence on the school results.
Science of people and anthropology of man

Glasnik Etnografskog Instituta SANU , 2008, DOI: 10.2298/gei0801245k
Abstract: A determination of a relationship between ethnology and anthropology with etymology as a starting point, loses a developmental dimension. Besides, a reduction in anthropology to the question:' What is a man' and discussion of 'general characteristics of human existence' represents reduction of anthropology to only one subject, which is the cause of the anthropology's marginalized position. On the other hand, a notion of ethnology is being discharged from the content by a break-up with a metaphysically constructed conception of 'folk spirit' and all the rest 'ethno' dispositions. Hence there is no point in discussing the relationship of a totally reduced anthropology and de-constructed ethnology. Current state of affairs within academically constituted disciplines in Serbia has shown that the vacancy originated by an ethnology de-construction was not filled in by anthropology, reduced to 'anthropology of Man' but a considerable 'anthropologization' of ethnological institutional frame.
Kiosk: A critical examination in urban/political anthropology

Glasnik Etnografskog Instituta SANU , 2006, DOI: 10.2298/gei0654127k
Abstract: Kiosk, a lightly constructed edifice, exists in Belgrade for more than half of a century. Shapes and constructions of kiosks that used to sell newspapers and cigarettes have followed general change in building styles over the years, requiring little or no attention from the public. However, at the time when Milo evi opposition parties took over local government/management large number of kiosks became positioned in the center of the city. At the same time, Milo evi ’s socialistic trading firms collapsed, and sales of many items transferred to kiosks. The change of government at the local level caused a different politics toward kiosks, and united state and local governments put an effort into removal of kiosks from the centre of Belgrade. This paper discusses the relationship between ideology and kiosk as architecture’ structure, and kiosks’ economic productivity.
Economic and financial relations of Serbia with foreign countries in the period 2000-2003

Economic Annals , 2004, DOI: 10.2298/eka0460075k
Abstract: The dissolution of the federation, war in the immediate environment, the UN sanctions, scarce investment as well as the NATO air-attacks had disastrous consequences for trade and financial relations of Serbia with foreign countries. Simultaneously, its foreign debt rose sharply due to the accrued interests, being at the end of 2000 substantially higher than Serbian gross domestic product. Thanks to the write-off of 51% of debt towards the Paris club, a windfall of donations and obtaining new favorable medium-term and long-term credits, the condition of Serbia's international financial relations considerably improved in the period 2001-2003, thus enabling it to run a foreign-exchange surplus during this period. Due to the policy of de facto floating exchange rate, sudden and drastic liberalization of imports and the lack of non-tariff protection, exports of goods and services in the last three years, contrary to plans, have increased much more slowly than imports, resulting in a large increase in growth and an enormously high level of trade deficit unsustainable in the long run. Due to new credits euro-denominated and other foreign-currency denominated debts being converted into the increasingly weaker dollar and the accrual of interests Serbian foreign debt increased sharply reaching an all-time high at the end of last year and being twice as high as was officially predicted three years before. The level of foreign debt is very high. Trade deficit and foreign indebtedness have become the most serious problems of Serbian economy and unless appropriate measures are taken, it will soon face a serious debt crisis.
The position of developing countries in international trade

Economic Annals , 2004, DOI: 10.2298/eka0462065k
Abstract: Recent years have seen a substantial reduction in trade policy and other barriers inhibiting developing country participation in the world trade. Lower barriers have contributed to a dramatic shift in the pattern of developing country trade -away from dependence on commodity exports to much greater reliance on manufactures and services. In addition, exports to other developing countries have become much more important. These changes have profound implications for the role played by developing countries in the world economy and the trade system. Developing countries have become major players in the global economy. The outward-oriented strategies of many economies in emerging Asia have been reflected in high trade growth and a steady increase in their share in the world trade.
The structural characteristics of world trade and the merchandise exports of Serbia
Kovaevi? Radovan
Economic Annals , 2009, DOI: 10.2298/eka0981055k
Abstract: This paper analyses the world merchandise trade structure and the structure of Serbian merchandise exports. The analysis shows that the prominent characteristic of post-World War II world trade is more dynamic growth in the volume of manufactured goods as compared to agricultural goods. Due to the lessening share of agricultural products world merchandise trade has decreased and rapid industrialization has been fostered in developing countries. An increased share for developing countries followed the developed countries' decreasing share in world manufacturing trade. The developing countries' increased share was strongest in telecom and office equipment exports. These sectors are characterized by production fragmentation, which is being realized by transnational companies. Serbia, like the other South East European countries, has not yet managed to significantly integrate into international production networks. Serbia's most important exports are manufactured products with a low level of added value . In addition, Serbia still has a high share of primary products in its exports. A higher share of exports of goods and services in the gross domestic products (GDP) cannot be achieved without increasing imports of new technologies and equipment, i.e. without a higher investment share of the GDP. The main conclusion of this article is that the creation of a favorable investment climate and an increase in Serbia's international credit rating are the preconditions for stronger foreign direct investment (FDI), which would be the main channel for restructuring in the real sector. Creation of new small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through greenfield investment and their integration into the international production networks is the starting point for the restructuring of Serbian industrial production and merchandise export, i.e. the way of increasing the share of merchandise exports in the GDP.
Research in the school : first steps in pupils' becoming autonomous and taking part in their own education

Knji?nica : Revija za Podro?je Bibliotekarstva in Informacijske Znanosti , 1999,
Abstract: This article is about a new learning approach on an example of the pupils' research work in adefinite school subject. It is based on how to learn and take care for it. We think about a new role and a task for school library and a librarian in these activities. To satisfy all these goals means to improve general education through adopting basic knowledge. How to get to the information and how to use it?In this context school library and education system have the same goal: how to find what the pupil needs, when he needs it and where the information is. That means to teach him how to use all the sources of information and knowledge that will be needed in his work and life. The role of the librarian is always focused on encouragment of all school activities for pupils' purposes. He motivates, he's able to impose himself with his authority, he can always be contacted and wants more.Pupil who knows how to use all the sources of information and knowledge in the school library is ready for long-life learning and nowdays his professional and personal progress and success depend on it.
