THE TOURISM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GLOBAL CRISIS
Ramona Ioana COSTEA
Revista de Turism : Studii si Cercetari in Turism , 2009,
Abstract: The paper is divided into three parts. In the first part is presented the evolution of tourism in Europe during 2008 as indicated by data provided by Eurostat, in the second part is made a brief analysis of the Romanian tourism development in the period August 2008 - January 2009. Is found in both the European Union and Romania, a decrease of the turnover, a decrease of the tourist number and a decreased length of stay. In the EU, crisis started to have an effect in the second part of the year. However, the number of nights spent in hotels and similar establishments in the European Union showed a small decrease (-0.5%) compared with the previous year. In Romania January 2009 brought a sharp decrease of net use of tourist accommodation bed - place in Hotels and similar units from 50.4% in August 2008 to 17.7% in January 2009. In the last part of the paper I've presented ways to decrease and eliminate the effect of the crisis in Romanian tourism. There are presented measures taken by the Ministry of Tourism, national prizes award of goods and services quality, methods to improve services quality by implementing a quality management system. For this purpose are presented the certified companies by RENAR, which issue certificates quality and the number of firms from the tourism segment certified by them. The paper shows steps that can be followed to implement a system of management quality. ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 standards are the guideline standards that can be implemented by any firm.
Quality management certification on Farms Machineries Market
Ramona I. Costea
Advances in Agriculture & Botanics , 2009,
Abstract: This article presents the results of ”The Main Actors On Farms Machineries Market Along TheSupply Chain” study. The objectives of this study were to identify the quality management certificationsituation of the main actors and to identify the firms who give those certifications and to what extent thefarms machineries market actors are present on the virtual market. Also the study wants to show outhow the firms mentioned above can be identified on the virtual market: if they have a web site, emailaddress, mobile phone that can be available online.
ISO/TC 234, Fisheries and Aquaculture
Ramona I. Costea
Aquaculture, Aquarium, Conservation & Legislation , 2009,
Abstract: The largest standard developing organization, ISO, works these days at International Standards for Fisheries and Aquaculture. They created a technical committee divided in six work groups that will have to establish cage technology, aquaculture environmental management, aquaculture technology, food safety for aquaculture farms, traceability of fishery products and environmental monitoring on the seabed’s impact from marine finfish farms. These standards will promote the sustainable development of the fisheries and aquaculture sectors, will develop specifications for technical equipment adapted to the local environment, will improve surveillance and management of marine resources, will enable international agreement on sampling methods, will improve the safety of employees and will establish a common terminology.
GRANGER CAUSALITY AND COINTEGRATION IN ROMANIAa€ S INFLATIONARY DYNAMICS a€“ AN EMPIRICAL STUDY

Annals of the University of Oradea : Economic Science , 2010,
Abstract: One of the most difficult issues that monetary authorities in many developing economies have to deal with is the management of a stable price environment. Inflation can create uncertainty, a low level of investment, and raise costs in general, thus lowering rates of growth. As a result, there exists a widespread need for understanding inflationary dynamics in any country of interest, especially in developing countries, subject to more significant and volatile price changes. This paper develops a VEC model for the Romanian economy, using CPI index and other macroeconomic data, in order to capture the transmission mechanism of inflation.
AN INVESTIGATION OF LONGRUN RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ECONOMIC GROWTH, INVESTMENT AND EXPORT IN ROMANIA
Mester Ioana Teodora,Simut Ramona Marinela
Annals of the University of Oradea : Economic Science , 2011,
Abstract: The objective of this study was to estimate the long-run relationship between economic growth, investment and export in Romania using trimestrial data from the National Bank of Romania as well as National Statistical Institute. The econometric methodology employed was the Cointegration and Granger Causality test. First, the stationarity properties of the data and the order of integration of the data were tested using the Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) test. We found that the variables were non-stationary in levels, but stationary in first differences; that is, they are integrated of order one (I (1)). Since we used single equation model(s), the application of Johansen multivariate approach to cointegration was necessary to test for the long-run relationship among the variables. The result showed the existence of a single cointegration equation between the variables. The result of the Granger causality test shows a bidirectional relationship between investment and economic growth and also a bidirectional relationship between investment and exports but the result of the causation between export and growth was statistically insignificant.
THE USE OF HORMONAL METHODS ON GILTS REPRODUCTIVE CYCLES

Lucrari Stiintifice : Zootehnie si Biotehnologii , 2007,
Abstract: The main purpose of the current research was to conduct the reproductive cycle ongilts, using hormonal methods to induce estrus in non-cycling and late pubertal giltsand to group in a short period of time the breedings and, in the same time, to inductfarrowings. The gilts that have made the object of this experiment were distribute intwo equal lots and they were treated with PG 600 (400 I.U. PMSG and 200 I.U.hCG) to induce estrus in two consecutive weeks. The main reproductive objectivesthat we have observed were the percentage of gilts that came into heat, the timerange when the gilts showed signs of estrus and the gestation rate after pregnancycheck at 28 and 56 days from breeding. The percentage of the gilts that were in heatafter PG 600 was 67 %. The majority (44.8 %) of gilts were in heat after 72-96hours from PG 600. The gestation rate at 28 days after insemination was 64.6 % andat 56 days after insemination was 53.0%.
PROSTAGLANDIN F2α SUPPLEMENTED SEMEN IMPROVES LANDRACE BOARS SPERM MOTILITY

Lucrari Stiintifice : Zootehnie si Biotehnologii , 2009,
Abstract: This study investigated whether the sperm motility from Landrace boars improveswhen PGF2α (Dinolytic ; 5 mg PGF2α /ml) was added to diluted semen. Boars fromone large production unit, were manually collected; semen was either enriched withPGF2α (group 1, n=38), either untreated (group 2, n=32). Total volume of semencollected, percent of motility and number of obtained doses were recorded. Thehighest sperm volume collected from the two groups is corresponding to ejaculatesfrom Landrace boars with PGF2α supplemented semen (267.6 m)l. Regardingmotility, the sperm collected from Landrace boars with PGF2α supplemented semenwas higher from the one collected from Landrace boars with untreated semen(81.37%) and very significant differences were statistically determined. Theejaculates with highest number of obtained doses is corresponding to the onescollected from boars with PGF2α supplemented semen (25.21). Only boars from thefirst group (with PGF2α supplemented semen) showed motility over 70% and even100%. The untreated semen showed motility values around 65-70%.
REPRODUCTIVE PARAMETERS OF THE ECOLOGICALLY EXPLOITED SOWS
DIANA MARIN,CORNELIA PETROMAN,IOANA B?LAN,RAMONA CIOLAC
Lucr?ri ?tiin?ifice : Management Agricol , 2009,
Abstract: The utilisation rate of the pastured sows is 2.16 births per year, prolificacy is 10.80, and the number of weaned piglets is 9.6, a higher percentage of losses in the first days compared with intensive exploitations being recorded. The sows’ fertility varied depending on the sows’ age, first time births recording a fertility percentage of 86.0% and those having multiple births recorded 75.3%. The appearance of post partum hogging after a feeding period of 6 weeks has manifested in 85.3% of the first time births and 88.4% in second time births, and 4.2% respectively 3.7% at the second period.

Lucrari Stiintifice : Zootehnie si Biotehnologii , 2007,
Abstract: Current researches were carried out with the goal to quantisize the lost from the weaning to early gestation at the sows housed in open pen gestation. In this trail wetested two pen types, different not only by size, but also by feeders’ emplacement. The main reproduction indicators that we calculated until the 28 gestation day werethe proportion of sows in heat after weaning, the weaning to estrus interval and thegestation rates. The weaning to estrus interval was about 4 to 7 days, most sowswere in heat in the day 5 and 6 days after weaning. The percent of heat detectionafter weaning was 71.42% for the small pens and 70.71% for the big pens(differences statistically non significant, chi test value was 0.983). The gestation rateat 28 days after insemination was 91.62% for the small pens and 94.72% for thelarge pens (chi test value 0,959, statistically non significant differences). Theoverpopulation for heat induction and after that chipping animals together in thosepens, show that the lost are up to 40.47%, between weaning – day 28 of gestation.
