Abstract: the subject of this paper is as old as humanity in its two possible approaches: as punishment and as domination. it was never detached from regulations or from the major changes in the production systems. it never stopped having an anthropological conception in its basement. the aim of this paper is to unravel this conception in a historical period, in which the constitutional reforms of 1949 and 1957, such as the ilo convention, try to balance that conflict with labor right encoding and regulation. as the specialists in this branch of law, who overtly or subliminally, let out the idea that inspires them about the person, the stratification and social classes, as well as the doubts when framing this distinction in the legal world of equality before the law, which also involves an anthropological idea.the daily record of the fourth conference of the states of america, members of ilo (1949), the daily session records of both constitutional conventions, such as papers about labor law of the time and previous, are confronted with the doctrinaires of the "new social question", such as rosanvallón, neffa, arturo fernández, etc.

The subject of this paper is as old as humanity in its two possible approaches: as punishment and as domination. Imaging studies represent an invaluable asset for the ophthalmologist’s diagnostic armamentaria. Their proper use and interpretation demand solid clinical judgment. We review the technical characteristics of various neuroimaging modalities and their relationship with the most frequently encountered lesions in the visual and oculomotor pathways. A topographical tour is used to highlight the pros and cons of cerebral computerized tomography and magnetic resonance imaging for selected lesions of neuro-ophthalmological interest.

The mass function and distribution of velocity dispersions for UZC groups of galaxies

Physics , 2003, DOI: 10.1086/377621
Abstract: We measure the distribution of velocity dispersions of groups of galaxies identified in the UZC catalog; we use the distribution to derive the group mass function. We introduce a new method which makes efficient use of the entire magnitude limited catalog. Our determination of \nst includes a significant contribution from low luminosity systems that would be missing in a volume limited sample. We start from a model for the probability density function of the total number of group members and reproduce the observed distribution. We take several effects like the local fluctuations in volume density, limited sampling and group selection into account. We estimate the relation between total number of members, total luminosity and true velocity dispersion. We can then reproduce not only the observed distribution of \sv but also the distributions of the number of group members, the total groups luminosity, and virial mass. The best fit to the data in the true velocity dispersion range 100 km/s < \sigma < 750 km/s is a power law model with a slope -3.4 and a normalization (1.27 +/- 0.21) x 10^{-5} h^3 Mpc^{-3}. The predictions of CDM models are consistent with the mass function we derive from this distribution of velocity dispersions.
