Riemann Hypothesis as an Uncertainty Relation
R. V. Ramos
Physics , 2013,
Abstract: Physics is a fertile environment for trying to solve some number theory problems. In particular, several tentative of linking the zeros of the Riemann-zeta function with physical phenomena were reported. In this work, the Riemann operator is introduced and used to transform the Riemann's hypothesis in a Heisenberg-type uncertainty relation, offering a new way for studying the zeros of Riemann's function
The zeros of the Riemann-zeta function and the transition from pseudo-random to harmonic behavior
R. V. Ramos
Mathematics , 2014,
Abstract: In this work, it is introduced a new function based on the non-trivial zeros of the Riemann-zeta function. Such function shows an interesting behavior: when the argument of the function grows, it changes from a pseudo-random behavior to a harmonic behavior with decreasing frequency.
The family of Eulerian constants in the isodimensional discrete calculus
R. Ramos Montero
Mathematics , 2011,
Abstract: Discrete Euclidian Spaces (DESs) are the starting point in the study of the major fields of the Isodimensional Discrete Mathematics (IDM). The isodimensional analysis is not an exception, being particularly interesting and fruitful the presence of the DESs in the study of differential and integral calculus. At the moment, and because of the novelty, the discrepancies between the standard and the isodimensional discrete calculus (IDC) are what draw more attention. As a small sample, in this paper we will see the interpretation given by the IDC about the origin and nature of the constant of Euler, and after that, we will also do likewise with another pair of constants of the same family.
A insustentável leveza do tempo: os objetos da sociedade de consumo em aulas de história
Ramos, Francisco Régis Lopes;
Educa??o em Revista , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-46982008000100011
Abstract: this article propose the use of consumer objects in history classes. it argues that the reflection on the multiple relations between citizens and consumer objects may lead to the development of the awareness of time, or better yet, of the connections or disconnections between past, present, and future. the intention is to state the need of a place for the memory of daily life objects and of the reflection on the consumer society in history education.
Objetos do caldeir?o: museu, memória e cultura material (1936-1997)
Ramos, Francisco Régis Lopes;
Estudos Históricos (Rio de Janeiro) , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-21862011000200007
Abstract: this article focuses on a collection of objects from a community known as caldeir?o (1926-1936), which nowadays is cataloged by the museum of ceara. through the history of artifacts appropriated as memory devices, it studies the material culture historically situated. therefore, it argues that is necessary to recognize the historicity of the objects within fields of agreements and disputes that select and defend certain uses of the past. the collection is thus understood as part of certain demands that can be traced over time.
O ens realissimum e a existência: notas sobre o conceito de impessoalidade em Ser e Tempo, de Martin Heidegger
Reis, Róbson Ramos dos;
Kriterion: Revista de Filosofia , 2001, DOI: 10.1590/S0100-512X2001000200006
Abstract: in this paper we examine the notion of impersonality (das man) presented in heidegger's being and time. taking as interpretative guideline the analysis of a comparison made by heidegger between the das man and the concept of ens realissimum, we maintain that the impersonality has a central ontological function within the program of the fundamental ontology. like the concept of ens realissimum in the ontoteological tradition, which played the rolle of ground of determination for things in generall, the impersonal manner of being represents the elemental source of all inteligibility. the parallel between the notions of impersonality and ens realissimum enables then a grasping of the social nature of the projection of being by the human understanding of being.
Entre a poeira e o silêncio: sobre exposi??es e constru??es da memória no Museu do Ceará (1932-1997)
Ramos, Francisco Régis Lopes;
Anais do Museu Paulista: História e Cultura Material , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-47142011000100006
Abstract: this article discusses some manners to construct the meanings of the past into museu do ceará's exhibitions between 1932 and 1997. based on issues of social history of memory, the meanings of dust and silence are highlighted in a way that the past is configured in the space of the exhibitions. the artifacts are treated taking into account underlying values and expectations that guide, in certain circumstances, connections and separations between past and present.
Síndrome de apnea hipopnea del sue?o e ictus
Mu?oz,R.; Ramos,C.;
Anales del Sistema Sanitario de Navarra , 2007, DOI: 10.4321/S1137-66272007000200008
Abstract: for many years attention has been drawn to the frequent association between sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome and stroke. numerous and very different epidemiological studies are available that point to a possible causal relation. in a parallel way, there has been an increase over these years in the knowledge of the different intermediate physiopathological mechanisms by which apnea could theoretically favour the appearance of cerebral ischemia. an increase in arterial pressure, the appearance of arrhythmias, hemodynamic changes in cerebral circulation and a prothrombotic state are outstanding amongst these. likewise, it was also proved that treatment with cpap was beneficial for normalising some of these alterations. nonetheless, it is only recently that, thanks to the appearance of different prospective studies, it has been irrefutably proved that sahs is a risk factor that increases the possibility of suffering an stroke, independently of the presence of other classical risk factors. while awaiting new intervention studies that confirm whether treatment with cpap reduces this risk, it is important to include in the anamnesis of patients who have suffered an stroke or a transitory ischemic accident the search for data that would lead us to think of sahs and to send these patients for evaluation by the respiratory unit when necessary.
Uma quest?o de tempo: os usos da memória nas aulas de História
Ramos, Francisco Régis Lopes;
Cadernos CEDES , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-32622010000300009
Abstract: considering that the theme of memory has now become part of the agenda of movements (or institutions) classified as "cultural", this text reflects on the theoretical base and methodological procedures of the historical knowledge on the so called "right to memory". it thus shows that more careful distinctions should be established between reminding fields and the critical reflection that history can undertake to ensure its educational role.
