Design of Curvature Radius of Finishing Roll for Crimp JCO Formed Welded Pipe  [PDF]

JCO means that the cross-section of steel pipe forms geometric shapes such as J, C and O in turn. The steel pipe blank directly formed by crimp JCO process has flat area along the edge of the pipe blank seam, which affects the quality of final pipe product. It is necessary to eliminate the flat area along the pipe seam by finishing process. In order to meet requirements of finishing process, it is necessary to optimize the roll surface curvature radius of finishing roll. Aiming at the design requirement of finishing roll for straight seam welded pipe forming, the optimum calculation method and result of roll surface curvature radius of finishing roll were obtained by using the theoretical analysis of metal sheet plastic forming. The result was successfully used in actual production.

Abstract: The slag structure and mechanism of multipeaks in reduction rate during smelting reduction of V-Ti containing magnetite were systematically analysed.There are three peaks of reduction rate without iron bath and two peaks with iron bath.The first peak is formed by reduction of magnetite,the second peak by reduction of ferric oxides to iron and the third mainly by reduction of titanium oxide to metallic titanium or TiC and TiN.
Using Amino Acid Physicochemical Distance Transformation for Fast Protein Remote Homology Detection

Abstract: Protein remote homology detection is one of the most important problems in bioinformatics. Discriminative methods such as support vector machines (SVM) have shown superior performance. However, the performance of SVM-based methods depends on the vector representations of the protein sequences. Prior works have demonstrated that sequence-order effects are relevant for discrimination, but little work has explored how to incorporate the sequence-order information along with the amino acid physicochemical properties into the prediction. In order to incorporate the sequence-order effects into the protein remote homology detection, the physicochemical distance transformation (PDT) method is proposed. Each protein sequence is converted into a series of numbers by using the physicochemical property scores in the amino acid index (AAIndex), and then the sequence is converted into a fixed length vector by PDT. The sequence-order information can be efficiently included into the feature vector with little computational cost by this approach. Finally, the feature vectors are input into a support vector machine classifier to detect the protein remote homologies. Our experiments on a well-known benchmark show the proposed method SVM-PDT achieves superior or comparable performance with current state-of-the-art methods and its computational cost is considerably superior to those of other methods. When the evolutionary information extracted from the frequency profiles is combined with the PDT method, the profile-based PDT approach can improve the performance by 3.4% and 11.4% in terms of ROC score and ROC50 score respectively. The local sequence-order information of the protein can be efficiently captured by the proposed PDT and the physicochemical properties extracted from the amino acid index are incorporated into the prediction. The physicochemical distance transformation provides a general framework, which would be a valuable tool for protein-level study.

Abstract: A comparative study was made of the reduction kinetics for high temperature smelting of vadium-titanium-containing magnetite,together with Hainan iron ore,using iron bath method.Three peaks were revealed on the reduction rate curves for the magnetite,while one peak only for Hainan ore.Under the same conditions,the smelting reduction rate of the magnetite was found to be lower than that of Hainan ore.The rate increases evidently with the increase of the bath volume.The expressions of smelting reduction rate were suggested for the reduction with and without iron bath respectively.

Abstract: For slag system of CaO-SiO_2-Al_2O_3-MgO-V_2O_5,the time of V reduction to appro ch the dynamical equilibrium is about 6 h,the equilibrium time is not evidently influenced by the ratio CaO/SiO_2 and shortens with the increase of temperature.It the ratio of the weight of slag to that of iron bath is 1/2,CaO/SiO_2 0.8 and tomperature 1773 K.the maxium distribution coefficeent of V reduction is 32.4 and maxium recovery of V is 96.1%.

Abstract: The optical properties of NdxGd1-xAl3(BO3)4(NGAB) crystal are reported. The refractive index of it were mesured by V-prism method. The absorption spectra and the flourescence specra of NGAB were also obtained. The optical parameters of NGAB were calculated following J-O theory, the three optical parameters are Ω2 = 1.805 × 10 20, Ω4 = 1.85 × 10 20, Ω6 = 3.793 × 10 20(RMS= 1.4 × 10 7) and βc(4F3/2 →4I11/2) is about 0.53.
Research on microstructure and surface morphology of sulfur-loading active carbon

Abstract: Hg can react with sulfur to form HgS which is stable. To remove mercury in fuel gas from coal combustion plant, sulfur content in active carbon was increased by thermal deposition in this work. SEM, BET, TGA and other measurement methods were used to characterize the effect on surface morphology, sulfur distribution and specific surface. The experimental results showed that thermal deposition was effective in increasing sulfur content in active carbon; most sulfur was adhered on the carbon chain and little was on the wall of pore; specific surface was decreased though deposition and it increased with temperature increase; binding between carbon and sulfur molecular was increased.

Abstract: 焚烧法处理城市生活垃圾已在世界先进发达国家广泛采用。垃圾焚烧飞灰含有大量的重金属,必须进行合理安全处置。在分析城市生活垃圾焚烧飞灰的物理化学性质基础上,研究了垃圾焚烧飞灰固化成型、熔融分离的无害化处理新工艺。实验结果表明:飞灰固化成球的适宜粘结剂为5%~7%消石灰,养护时间为10~12 d,固化球强度达0.24 kg/cm2以上,可以满足运输和熔化分离要求;固化后的飞灰在1 300℃左右熔融分离后,重金属的分离效果好,达到97%以上,可达到无害化处理标准;对1 300℃和1 400℃熔融分离后熔渣的重金属浸出毒性测试显示,重金属浸出毒性问题可以完全解除。研究结果表明,采用飞灰固化-熔融分离工艺处理城市生活垃圾焚烧飞灰是可行的。
