Research on Location-Routing Problem with Empirical Analysis for Regional Logistics Distribution  [PDF]
Qian Zhang
Applied Mathematics (AM) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/am.2014.515224

The location of the distribution facilities and the routing of the vehicles from these facilities are interdependent in many distribution systems. Such a concept recognizes the interdependence; attempts to integrate these two decisions have been limited. Multi-objective location-routing problem (MLRP) is combined with the facility location and the vehicle routing decision and satisfied the different objectives. Due to the problem complexity, simultaneous solution methods are limited, which are given in different objectives with conflicts in functions satisfied. Two kinds of optimal mathematical models are proposed for the solution of MLRP. Three methods have been emphatically developed for MLRP. MGA architecture makes it possible to search the solution space efficiently, which provides a path for searching the solution with two-objective LRP. At last the practical proof is given by random analysis for regional distribution with nine cities.

The equivalence exists between regular grammar and finite automata in accepting languages. Some complicated conversion algorithms have also been in existence. The simplified forms of the algorithms and their proofs are given. And the construction algorithm 5 of the equivalent conversion from finite automata to left linear grammar is presented as well as its correctness proof. Additionally, a relevant example is expounded.

Are Boys More Aggressive than Girls after Playing Violent Computer Games Online? An Insight into an Emotional Stroop Task  [PDF]
Jingjin Tian, Zhang Qian
Psychology (PSYCH) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/psych.2014.51006

The study was to examine the gender differences in aggression among Chinese children after playing violent computer games by using emotional STROOP task. 98 children participated in this study, with 49 assigned to violent computer game group and the other 49 assigned to nonviolent computer game group. The results demonstrated that there were significant differences in main affect of game type, and significant Game Type × Gender interaction as well. In particular, boys’ aggression was significantly impacted by violent games, whereas girls’ aggression was not significantly impacted by violent games. The implication of this research is that, the significant difference in aggression to gender is activated, and that boys were more aggressive and sensitive to violent games than girls.

A Study of College Students’ Civil Servants Fever Based on Chinese and Western Values  [PDF]
Qian Zhang, Xiufeng Tian
Sociology Mind (SM) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/sm.2014.43022
The civil servant exam has become the fiercest examination in China since 1994; more and more people take this examination. Among the candidates, college students have occupied the overwhelming majority who fanatically take part in the civil service exams and choose civil servants as their future career. This paper aims to discuss the reasons behind the civil servants’ fever in China based on the comparison of Chinese and western values in four aspects: cultural, social, familial and personal. Finally, this paper makes an attempt to provide further suggestions to improve the unbalanced situation of the source allocation in China.
An Analysis of Dee’s Identity Construction from the Perspective of Consumer Culture  [PDF]
Qian Zhang, Haimei Liu
Advances in Literary Study (ALS) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/als.2014.23012

This paper will focus on the role of the consumer culture in Dee’s identity construction in Everyday Use. Dee’s identification with the female image and her aestheticization of the reality and the history of African American reflect consumer culture acts as the “Other” in the Dee’s identity construction. However, consumption culture also serves as the domain where Dee establishes her self-identity as a black female in a white-dominant world. Through the exploration of the double role of consumer culture in Dee’s identity construction, this thesis advocates that in Every Use Walker presents the new black women dilemma in white-male consumer society and her thought on how to construct black female identities under the invasion of consumer culture into the American South, so that to some extent it makes certain contribution to the issue how women construct their own identity in the consumer society full of survival anxiety.

An Empirical Research on Interactive Relationship of Urban Housing Prices in China: Analysis of Six Major Cities  [PDF]
Qian Zhang, Dexiang Mei
Low Carbon Economy (LCE) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/lce.2015.62008
Abstract: This paper applies non-linear granger causality test and impulse response function method to analyze the spillover effect of housing prices fluctuation among six major Chinese cities, namely, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin and Chongqing. Results indicate that fluctuation of urban housing prices in the short term is a wide range of positive spillover effect, and then the effect will gradually disappear. The spillover effect of housing prices fluctuation and cities’ space distance do not necessarily exist relationship; at the same time, Shanghai housing price fluctuation has a great influence on other cities generally. Accordingly, relevant policy suggestions are put forward.
An Investigation of Psychological Adjustment Differences among Chinese College Students: From the Perspectives of Their Gender, Major and Grade  [PDF]
Qiang Wang, Qian Zhang
Psychology (PSYCH) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/psych.2015.616208
Abstract: The goal of the study was to examine levels of psychological adjustment among college students in China; 650 college students took part in Adolescents’ Adaptability Scale (AAS). The results indicated that: 1) there was no significant gender difference in levels of psychological adjustment among college students in China; 2) there were apparent differences in majors. Students who specialized in physical art have the strongest levels of adjustment, while students who majored in arts have the weakest levels of adjustment; 3) significant differences were also existed in Grades, sophomores got the highest levels of adjustment, whereas seniors got the weakest levels of adjustment.
Is Aggressive Trait Responsible for Violence? Priming Effects of Aggressive Words and Violent Movies  [PDF]
Qian Zhang, Dajun Zhang, Lixin Wang
Psychology (PSYCH) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/psych.2013.42013

The aim of the present study was to examine the priming effects of violent movies and aggressive words on implicit aggression by using modified STROOP task. 190 adolescents participated in this study, with 95 assigned to non-violent movie group and 95 assigned to violent movie group. The results showed that no significant difference was found in the main affect of Movie Type, but it revealed significant Movie Type × Aggressive Trait interaction, and that aggression was significantly influenced by violent movie only for high-aggressive trait (HT) adolescents, but not for mid-aggressive trait (MT) and low-aggressive trait (LT) adolescents. The possible underlying mechanism was that HT adolescents may possess a relatively stronger aggressive network of cognitive association which was easily activated by violence than MT and LT adolescents. This indicated that violent movie could effectively elicit implicit aggression for adolescents who were highly aggressive, but not for nonaggressive adolescents.

Research on Location Routing Problem (LRP) Based on Chaos Search (CS) and Empirical Analysis  [PDF]
Qian Zhang, Zhongming Shen, Xianji Zhang
American Journal of Operations Research (AJOR) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/ajor.2013.31A014

Due to the problem complexity, simultaneous solution methods are limited. A hybrid algorithm is emphatically proposed for LRP. First, the customers are classified by clustering analysis with preference-fitting rules. Second, a chaos search (CS) algorithm for the optimal routes of LRP scheduling is presented in this paper. For the ergodicity and randomness of chaotic sequence, this CS architecture makes it possible to search the solution space easily, thus producing optimal solutions without local optimization. A case study using computer simulation showed that the CS system is simple and effective, which achieves significant improvement compared to a recent LRP with nonlinear constrained optimization solution. Lastly the pratical anlysis is presented relationship with regional logistics and its development in Fujian province.
